This was the first straight up legit REVIEW and comparison, so kudos to you for not being a paid shill. We see you, and appreciate you out here doing GOD'S WORK!!

    Thanks for the honest/unbiased review!
    I've had a few sets of basic/corded earplugs in the past from when I was playing in heavy rock bands/going to concerts more, but I need a decent pair now that will fit better under my headphones so I can sit down for long sessions of drumming without ruining my ears. In the last review I watched, the dude couldn't say enough good things about this one particular set, the "Soundbrenner Minuendo". I go to the website to find that not only are they $200+ but he's also sponsored by them with his own discount code. Nothing wrong with making a dime but it's just weird when that person is also claiming to be unbiased.
    I've ordered a pair of the Loops after watching this video as the comfort factor is really what I'm concerned with. Great to see some honest videos out there - keep it up!

      Just got the loops today! Bought the Quiet Solstice in a clean violet/purple XD
      The large size fits perfectly and is nice and low profile under my headphones. Easy to insert/remove and the attachment between the handle and the earplug itself is sturdy. Doesn't leave me worrying about it getting stuck in my ear and doesn't feel like something is invading my head XD@@aussieexpat

    I had the Eargasm for a music festival. At first I thought they were amazing then I realized they weren’t in fully. They were too big. I went to the smaller size and had a tough time keeping those in as well. They don’t seem to be that much smaller. Once they were in I felt the whole world was muted. They were good but a PITA to keep in the canal

    • @aussieexpat
      @aussieexpat  11 місяців тому +6

      that sucks. I too also had to go to "small" but they did fit me. I'm usually medium... so it's possible there is fitment issues. loops include 3 sizes.

      That’s why I love the loops I wear them everyday as a plumber working on loud job sites and I can keep them in and not notice them or have them bother me much at all. I was looking at switching to the eargasms cause I’ve heard some good things about them but I probably won’t

  • @annareeves9912

    I just ordered some loops because I'm seeing Lamb of God next month. I've had some cheap earplugs that were similar to the Eargasm style, and I always had the hardest time keeping them in, including the small ones. I don't think the bass being muffled will bother me too much because I'm more concerned with comfort and the plugs staying in.

    • @aussieexpat
      @aussieexpat  10 місяців тому +1

      yeah the loops are a good choice for the number of sizes include and the simplicity of putting them in, out, adjusting.

    • @IshtarNike
      @IshtarNike 4 місяці тому +1

      Yes! I just can't get them to stay in my goddamn ears. They work their way out in a matter of moments to be honest. I have the eargasms and even the smaller one doesn't fit in properly and works it's way out. So despite working alright when they're in, they come out so easily that despite being in my ears there's a gap and they aren't properly cancelling the sound.

      How did it go? I will be going to a Whitechapel and Bodysnatcher show and i wanted to buy some plugs since after my last concert i couldnt hear for 2 days. Still wondering between the loops or eargasms a lot. I prefer them being more comfortable and staying in since you know how much moving can happen at metal shows. Also did the bass get that muffled?

    • @annareeves9912
      @annareeves9912 Місяць тому

      @@thestoebz It went well, and I've used them multiple times since then! I got the experience plus, but I think they're now called experience 2 plus. They come with extra pieces that fit into the round part to dampen more sound if desired, and they also come with foam ear tips. I've only used the foam ones bc the silicone ones create a painful suction for me.

  • @jeremebonesaw

    I prefer loop over eargasm. I've had both. I think eargasm blocks out a little too much db wise. I go to a lot of metal shows.

    • @aussieexpat
      @aussieexpat  11 місяців тому +3

      Interesting! That could well be the case. Judging dB is difficult but just from the design I'd say you're probably right. For me, the loops were disproportionately killing the bass.

      @@aussieexpat Hi!! Do you think the loops would kill the bass/lows in electronic music concerts (techno for example), or are you people in the comments refering only to the more subtle-ish bass guitar?
      I want to buy some earplugs but they are really expensive in my country, and don´t want to mess up

    • @aussieexpat
      @aussieexpat  4 місяці тому +2

      @joaquintraversaro5944 if its bass you really want to preserve, get the eargasm.
      The main reason to get the loop is form factor, speed of delivery.

      Wow! Seen motorhead many times in a small pub in oz at 20,000 watts. ,seen midnight oil, the Angels, black sabbath, Iron maiden, whitesnake, rose tattoo etc etc. I used to listen to deep purple"made in japan" with my head between 2 speakers turned all the way up. Seen many bands where the sound of the bass drum hits you in the chest like a punch. My ears would ring the next day. I never thought of wearing earplugs because it was part of the experience. I still hear great. But don't let it take away from the experience.

    • @aussieexpat

      @@jamesw4895 I personally suffer from tinnitus. I don't need my hearing to be any worse, I love sound, I just don't need the hearing damage when it's too loud.
      The beauty of these style of plugs, you can have your cake and eat it to. The frequency response is relatively flat, and you still get the full chest kick.
      You also have to know, modern sound systems are WAY louder than they were 20 years ago.

      What's wrong with people having a good time or getting hyped to see their favorite artist?

      @@77ELCREADOR - She didn't say there was anything "wrong with people having a good time or getting hyped to see their favorite artist".
      She specifically said she is frustrated by the sounds of screaming women.
      High pitch noises can be very ear-piercing and irritating for a lot of people, and they can easily pierce through all the other sounds that you are there to hear (that being, the band, and you could even include general collective crowd noise, as opposed to isolated jarring screams from individuals).
      If it was largely limited to just when the artist gets on stage, then that would be fine. I imagine she's probably referring to high-pitch loud screaming throughout, though.

      I'm going to try the Sennheiser SoundProtex ("Plus" version). Can't find much about them oddly enough, but oh well. The Plus version has 3 filter levels you can swap out and then also a fully blocked filter (non-Plus has 1 middle filter and fully blocked).
      I should add that some concerts fit the vibe of collective endlessly screaming women... like a mania vibe, but that sure as hell ain't for everyone lol. But at least if it's collective, it's not like, rude and really selfish in a way, compared to individuals doing it here and there.
