Hoi An is something out of this world tbh. I love the lanterns, the vibe there but it is a little bit touristy. Don't forget to jam in Da Nang!!! The beaches and foods are overwhelming too.
In 2019, when there was no epidemic, Da Nang and Hoi An welcomed nearly ten million tourists. Vietnam has only been open for tourism for 3 weeks so it's really sad to see these beautiful places look so deserted.
You guys seem to be just a step ahead of my wife and I. We were in Nha Trang last week and headed to Hoi An tomorrow afternoon. We’ve just spent two days in Da Nang and I really hope you guys didn’t just bypass Da Nang as it has turned out to be my most favorite place in all of Vietnam. It’s way better than Nha Trang IMO and I’ve been all over Vietnam as I’ve spent about 4 months here. If you get a chance be sure to head to Sa Pa

We loved Hoi An but can imagine how packed out it would have been pre covid! Its such a lovely place so totally get why everyone goes there 😍
