@@myrkflinn4331 That's the thing about elden ring that some people still defend, some enemies should NOT have super dooper hyper armor, like Assassins? There are so many such enemies and bosses from a design perspective, lot of things doesn't make any sense about the game. Unfortunately I feel like it's become a niche and trend where anything FromSoftware throws at us, we have to accept and "git gud" irrespective of terrible boss/enemies design, some clunky combat feels/mechanics, etc list goes on and all they do is "you have to gid gud" rather than criticizing or find a way to make FromSoftware realize they need to make lot of improvements in their mechanics and balancing the game out. Poise is broken in this game, like completely. I wear heavy armor with the highest poise yet you'll be interrupted and staggered by LOT of normal basic enemies (not talking about rats and all, its still a bad design, doesn't make any sense). Enemies can attack through solid walls but we can't. There's so much that they need to improve on. Not just Elden Ring, I've heard this has been going on since their early souls game.
@@DSmusique elden ring is extra weird when it comes to stat scaling on enemies this boss would be so much easier if it had lower ish health like i swear they take a super easy enemy like a bell bearing hunter and then repeat it four times with the last one having more health than radhan and margit combined it gets annoying and boring because you’ve beat this enemies moveset before but they just have so much health and take next to no damage your bound to slip up and insta lose

@@minusinfinity6974 it is completely immune to the bleed component so pure frostbite may be better. If you aren't running an arcane build or pure dex build you have a few options to tackle this fight that work ok. 1) Colossal class weapons or weapons with enough stagger value like greatsword and halberd. You can easily flinch Alecto every hit with these or even stagger lock her to death if you attack fast enough. Jumping attacks work best. 2) If you are a mage, Icecrag or Adula's Moonblade work very well in this fight and adula can be used to stunlock. Naturally frost scales better with int builds too. 3) Spammable weapon arts with stagger value. Something like the falling star beast weapon from Mt Gelmir can stun with every successful hit. 4) This is the final method and it is what I did as I was running an arcane build and didn't want to reroll for a better method. You can use Carian Retaliation on any shield and time your parry to parry the magic projectiles that drain max health from Alecto. This does a sizeable chunk of damage every time the swords connect from the retaliation.
Adding to @@malpheus4299 useful comment, if you’re by chance running an arcane build (hopefully you have an upgraded dragon communion seal with S scaling in arcane), the Dragonice Incantion works wonders on her. As long as you get it off in time she will be stunned the entire incantion and it will proc Frostbite on her. A fully charged breath takes almost 25% of her health. That is with 50 arcane though. This bitch is no joke.
Yeah, I fully agree with you on that, she is way to overpower and it's not fair that we can fall off the cliff, but not her. Worse boss ever in the game. I can't believe she is immune to all status effects, rot and all that has help me out a lot, but not with her.
As a strength build after an hour of attempts, I locked on and ran around to avoid attacks and did a jumping r2 whenever she did her jumping regular or aoe attack. Took me 5 mins
Yea whenever she did her aoe or jumping attack I just did my bloody slash while she was mid air n she just flew back then I’ll hit her a few times then start running waiting till she does it again but it took me hella tries to figure this out cuz I had to find out her pattern set
Took me….substantially more time. Arcane bleed build - definitely not made for content like this. Couldn’t bleed him, sleep, poison/rot, frenzy, frostbite. Tried everything I could think of until….SOMETHING WORKED!!! Ah, plus…lvl 58 is quite under-leveled for this place I’m sure. As an arcane/dex user, you just want to jump across labyrinth and then when you het to sharp point socks. Get dex and strength to required level for equipping goodies. Pumped the rest into vigor/endurance as well as arcane if you’re able to.
But, what I could do, was pretty easy and affective. I just drove to spots on the property where privilege is allowed. I can only take out 400 smack-a-roos per ATM. at least they have cameras
This fight seems very off to me the boss occasionally feels normal but when I die and come back it seems to have a constant agro leaving absolutely no room for any type of attack it is just constant spamming b
I've been playing with the ruin greatsword. I assumed she'd dodge the skill attack, but after a dozen failed attempts, I gave it a try. Worked like a charm. She only dodged one attack. The rest of the time she was being thrown into the air or being guard broken. Very satisfying cheese.
I found these evergaols balanced extremely inconsistent in Elden Ring. This is a middle game area of Elden Ring, but for some reason at level 142 with a maxed out weapon I feel this boss still does exceptionally high damage and my attack power seems rather average. Whereas Godfrey for example over at Atleus Plateau, and area which is a lot after Lumia Lake feels a much fairer and consistent fight in terms of my damage dealt and damage I can take. I can’t help but think that this boss should’ve been at a late game evergaol, but yeah some of these evergaols seem way to inconsistent on the player, especially if they over level and come back to face a boss post game.
Well to be fair Altus plateau and liurnia of the lakes are supposed to be tackled a lot earlier in the game than moonlight altar is, so it makes sense they're easier
Well the problem is, Lake of Rot and thus Astel and the Moonlight Altar after him are meant to be tackled after Altus Plateau because they're an out of the way secret area. You cannot get to Moonlight Altar unless you know what you're doing. This doesn't count as "a mid game area."
I don't think this area is meant to be "middle game". Pretty sure it's considered late game, even though you can get there pretty early if you know what to do, which most people won't on their first playthrough.
somehow was one of the easier bosses, I run hig vig and str build so it may not be suitable for all players but here are my tips. • dodge, dodge, dodge. use her own tactics against her by constantly dodging and staying far away. • play aggressive. don't attack when she moves slowly and is ready to dodge, attack immediately when she's aggro and running towards you, she usually doesn't dodge. chain your attacks. she stops attacking for a half second when she takes damage, use it to your advantage and chain attacks until she stuns and then do a backstab. • don't run. preserve as much stamina as possible because you'll either be chaining or dodging. • most important of all, dodge that cheese ass bleed move. when she jumps in the air and has red streaks coming off her blade, GTFO. not only is it damn near inescapable, it does a ton of damage and causes additional bleed damage. and remember, don't give up tarnished!
Aspects of the crucible horn is an easy counter to this boss. When he charges, just charge at him with the horn and he will receive massive damage and get knocked to the ground. Very satisfying to use.
Just beat her. Took about 10 tries. I finally just gave up with dodging. I locked on and ran around until she performed the ground pound or blood spin move and then I went in for two slashes and got out. Beat her in a single try with that strat. Hope this helps!
To my mage brethren use adula moonblade and greatblade phalanx. Keep kiting her and cast your phalanx. Whenever your phalanx hit her, she’ll stagger a bit use this opportunity to whack her with the moonblade. Keep your distance to increase your chance of avoiding the aoe jump attack.
Further tip: Don’t get greedy. Seriously. It may not be news for a lot of older souls players but as a new soul and mage I got real cocky real fast and just spammed spells to victory on a lot of bosses. Stick right outside the range of her dagger until you start to see her give you a little space, then back up because she might plunge on you. If she’s next to you and you’re finishing an animation that’s your queue to dodge and watch your stamina.
Did the same thing. I'm running a +5 moonlight sword together with adula frostblade. You can do a 3-hit adula strikes right at the start of battle and chip away about 20% of her health if you proc frost.
This boss took me so many attempts. I think this is the first time I actually experienced blood boiling rage, for a game. Seriously, this boss is insane. I couldn’t bleed him, couldn’t sleep him, couldn’t even poison or rot him but man, this is so worth completing. I won’t spoil anything but the thing he drops is nuts. I maxed out the spirit ash to +10 and was blown away when I summoned her for a boss fight. He does so much damage so quickly. I used the summon on Lansseix (butchered that spelling) dragon and I think I might’ve only gotten two or three hits in. Meanwhile….Black knife tiche is hitting the enemy boss for damage in the thousands. At first, when I saw the damage on the healthbar of the opponent, I thought that was me doing that much damage. Boy was I wrong….I have most if my other spirits in the +7 range, not a single one comes close to this one. It’s almost too good unfortunately. I’m okay with my summon kind of drawing aggro and dealing a couple hundred damage but, imo, it makes it substantially less fun when you can just cheese bosses by attacking with an op spell while they’re focused on the summon.
@@66jesko Black knife Tiche will help a lot with Melania. I resorted to using her when I got that bitch to about 5% health on the 2nd phase. I’ve never raged at a game before, lol. Melania though….she made me use curse words I didn’t even know I knew. She reminded me of every katana weeb I invaded. She starts losing so then she spams waterfowl dance and bam, ya dead. (Before anyone says it, 42 vigor, 60% damage reduction with black knight gear, black flame protect me and golden vow. I was not squish.) Oh but if you’re going to use Tiche, try to fight somewhat aggressively. Melania is one of the few bosses that can actually handle Tiche with ease.
This boss needs a nerf. I beat him but he does way too much damage for how fast he moves. I mean I am in heavy armor and he was still one shotting me with full health (1287). Ice attacks seem to work well on him though. If you hit him with Dragon Ice as he is spawning you can do a fair amount of damage before he even moves. Still though, I struggled with Midir less than this guy.

I agree with him this boss doesn’t feel like a hard boss it feels like boss that’s damage wasn’t scaled correctly it does wayyyy to much damage for how fast it is. It’s not a fun challenge it’s annoying and hard to do anything against
@@sirdovahkiin7548 it's a pain in the ass I agree I just feel like the players defense is what should be more focused on because of other bosses being capable of nearly mangling the player by looking at them I mean read the patch notes bosses ARE getting nerfed. I still suggest people follow my tactic if you can't stun lock or poise break him infinitely, running left just seems to be his weakness for some ungodly reason I can kite his ass for 30 minutes if I wanted. It literally feels like you aren't even supposed to be fighting her yet. The spike in difficulty is just so ridiculous, that I can't imagine Fromsoft really expected you to fight her after Astel. I know she's optional, but still, most players are gonna explore the area and find her. It's a fun fight, but the amount of damage she puts out just feels fucking silly.
Such a horseshit fight. As a mage, I never get to attack when he gets to two-shot me for free. This might as well be impossible considering how unfair it is.
It's *her, all black knife assassins are women. And I found as an int user that just learning her moves, dodging them and using the openings to deal a bit of damage with Night Shard works, you can even get hits in with Rock Sling tho even 4 full hits didn't stun her 😅
Use Moonveil only with Transient Moonlight, take your time and distance from him and when he uses attack that stops him for 2 seconds, spam the skill, if you're not greedy this is easy.
Just Beat her with a Level 85 Astrologer pure int build was a NIGHTMARE, I ended up using Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling with only the Twinsage Crown equipped 30 Vig 25 Mind and 72 int, only having the Crown equiped made dodging her alot easier due to Light load took almost 3 hours of Deaths to get her down though.
Hi, I am an astrologer myself and had some trouble in the first time. But then I found a super easy way after couple of tries. You just have to use Adulas Moonblade on him, which you should have aquired at this point by slaying the dragon that comes right before this fight. super easy fight with this, got him first try after equipping this.
Thanks for the help. I just memorized the attack patterns after about 10 tries and made sure to dodge roll to a safe distance. Once she launch into the air for the slam attack I would wail on her with Adula's Moonblade spell. Also, a good time to hit her is after her mega aoe lunge. Be patient and rinse and repeat.
I wasnt able to see any of her moveset. I literally walked up with my mimic right when she spawned in and took away 90% of her health with my +9 and +8 katanas. I was only around level 100 so dont know if it was a glitch but this was the easiest boss in the game for me lmao
Hi people, if you are a sorcerer and have trouble dealing with the boss I have found a simple way of defeating the boss. Just use Adulas Moonblade on him, which you should have aquired just before. really easy with this.
Thank you so much. With putting all my talismans towards increased fp and stamina as well as boosting corcery. I finally found my. “KILL ALECTO!” Button. Three full barrages of ice swords and finished it off with two pokes of a dagger
She's my favorite boss in the game so far. Figuring out how to beat hear was really satisfying and my final fight after 10 attempts or so was super clean and fun as a melee build.
Quick tip for those struggling with this guy: apply “Glimstone pebble” ash to your weapon and use that sweet special when black knight is about to land a hit - it will interrupt his attack. You can spam it to break his poise or press heavy attack to deliver ash following special. Pebbles ash distance is short, but it has great ability to stagger your opponents. The ash can be bought from Rogier or found on wooden sword at Carian manor.
Nagakiba+unsheathe is a good strat for anyone struggling. The length on the weapon means you can catch her as she's moving in to attack roughly 85% of the time and beat her to the punch. Just roll away from the instadeath frenzy attack and you're good
Okay I’m writing this to every quality build that used bloodhoundfang as a main. So the most important thing in winning this battle is by altering the usages between parrying and double handing your weapon. There are opportunities that are very easy to punish and get a parry in. But in order to trigger these you have to be on mid distance and let the black knife come to you. On the other hand once the boss starts to engage you, definitely use the weapon two handed. It’s important to wait until the boss is done with a combo or is about to end it and you can trade the damage. With that there is an opportunity to hit 2-3 R1 hits as the boss is momentarily staggered. With a combination of parry and two handed staggers, it’s quite possible to do this. Most important, try to evade the fire slashes by rolling to the left or right, and landing a parry and the crit gives you back the health that the boss stole from you. So don’t worry should the boss land one on you.
For fellow spellswords, use either carian slicer or carian greatsword for easy poise break since their range allows u follow her when she dashes and its enough to interrupt her attacks, it also helps for the second phase when she gets more aggressive
I’ve been fighting her for almost 3 hours and the way I did it was by using buckler’s Parry and I parried her as much as I could. Most insane miniboss I fought so far 😭 but seeing her getting parried was so satisfying!
After so many different approaches , I arrived at a sad but effective strategy , abandoned mobility completely and embraced absolute defense with overwhelming firepower , I equipped my omen armor with absurd armor poise of 86 , two handed my blasphemous blade and spammed Taker's flames until the bitch folded and tried in vain to breach my armor . Btw she is completely vulnerable to forward facing attacks like that , as she thinks she can back step out of reach , so attacks that keep going for a distance like Taker's flames or even moonveil katana heavy attack will catch her off guard. She greatly pissed me off, I mean I beat her , but I don't feel like it is cool to let her do that much damage on top of such blistering speeds that my eyes strain to keep her in my sight
you can cheese her. i found out by accident. theres a rock formation across from where she spawns. its a rock where it looks like you could also fall off from. if she falls in, she will stop attacking. we slipped in by accident and she wouldnt attack anymore. so i clapped them cheeks. it shouldn't be too hard to replicate. just bait her onto the rock and duke it out a bit till she slips in.
As a mage I strictly used backing up, rolls, and comet. I actually forgot to switch the talismans from when I was trying melee so I made it a bit more difficult on myself. At start of fight run to the left and you get free shots until you run out of endurance. I suggest using the flask for not mana here. Eventually he will use a blood skill though, so be careful. Rest of the fight5 back up until he jumps in the air for a plunge attack. One roll backwards when you see the jump gives you space and time to cast a comet. When he does the skill where he drags the dagger through ground back up and fire one comet, be ready to roll back to avoid the follow up attacks. When he does his blood jump roll twice to gain enough distance, and just like the other plunge attack you have enough time to cast a comet. Use these times to use flasks when necessary as well.
its really fun if you know the patterns, honestly pretty fair fight, no instant 1 shot abilities, and everything is choreographed pretty well. if you go for light stabs and dont get greedy its cool
There is a rock to the left or due west of you entering the gaol. For some reason, Alecto doesn't like jumping onto it and tend to walk round it. For mages you can pretty much stand on it and spam spells until she dies. Melee builds might need to alternate jump off and back on. If you trap her in a corner next to cliff edge below the rock, you can swing at her until her health depletes. I did a mix of both. Spammed spells until she had 30% health left. Then jumped around the rock and hitting her with moonveil. I did trap her in a corner and finished her off with one hit.
I tried various approaches and finally settled on using the repeating thrust ashes with cold. That did tons of damage (up to 2k) knocked her down, so all I had to do was evade her until I could place the attack. It also helped to understand that she gets way less aggressive if you put the pressure on like that, giving you time to recover stamina/hp/fp. But yeah, it also took me forever to beat her.
About 3 guard counters for me could break his posture so you can go in for the critical. Most of his normal blade attacks can be blocked and countered. Know when to dodge his grab and blood arc. Run away once you see him wind up for the blood combo. If you're quite close to him then dodge and pray. Get the hang of this and you're good to go. Patience and not being greedy is the key here.
I beat this bastard by using the moonveil weapon art. She doesn't fight fair so a cheese strategy is acceptable imo. Start the fight by getting a free hit, then run away. Once you've created some distance she will come at you in a straight line. Just time your weapon art (strong works best because it has better range) to connect as she gets close. Immediately run away after landing the hit (or missing), then repeat until she's dead.
for mage/faith int build, try this out use the falling star beastjaw i upgrade it to +7. armor set i wear radahn's armor except the helmet. I then replace the helmet with twinsage glintstone crown to boost INT. For talisman, i use anything that boost INT, and STAMINA recovery. remove everything other than health, mixture and mana potion for this fight as u want to optimize your selection of item during battle. then just enter the battle. target the assasin then use ur skill every timely 1.5 sec. just keep it steady, she will be stunned locked and sometimes staggered. dont even bother to heavy attack, just use the skills. drink potion once a while and thats it. if u do it right, she cant use any jump attack or grab skill on you at all and the battle is over.
For anyone just getting around to this, take the Darkmoon Greatsword that you find under the church behind the dragon and practice a little. After you get decent with it you can just spam the ash of war at her until she’s in range to deal damage. Bait her overhead attack by running away from that bunch of really close together stabs and you’ll get your distance back to repeat.
I defeated Malenia in NG+ with ease, was getting bored of not being able to be challenged anymore and this SOB humbled me so quickly. For those still needing help just lock on and roll into her whenever she comes at you jump attack and repeat.
Kind of late but this is the easiest way to defeat the boss. Of course, it does take a while, but it very likely ensures you never get hit if you space yourself
I have another strategy if people aren’t fully invested into cheesing but don’t mind a little bit. Deaths poker. Do the weapon art follow up with an r1 attack. If the initial flame hasn’t dealt much damage, lure the knight back in to. Frost damage seems to be the only real consistent effect. Also, not sure if it’s been patched but rolling with the briar amour is not very useful
if you're using any ugs the fight becomes somewhat trivial, as long as your hit connects the guy gets stunned and you've got some leeway to recover or maintain a good distance. You can even interrupt the chargeup before he jumps into the air and does the tornado thing.
If you have the bloodhound fang, you can interrupt her attacks. You can also knock her down when she leaps up into the air, just use your ashes of war and pick at her health. She’s worth beating, though I died like ten times. She drops arguably one of the best summons in the game
I defeated this boss using Grafted Blade Greatsword (it drops from a boss battle in the west peninsula fort).......just use jump heavy attack and dodge the big red ball attack as it will one shot you......it took me more than 2hrs but boy it was worth it
Here was my strategy to get her. Glintstone pebble on weapon to interrupt her and then Asulas Spellblade. I open the fight with Phalanx on and send 2 Moon at her and then maintain a range with your pebble. If you spam pebble enough she will keep a range distance. Good luck
Another way to exploit her low poise is using a weapon that has the Glintblade Phalanx ash of war, such as Rogier's Rapier. You can combine this with Carian's Filigreed Crest and the Assassin's Cerulean Dagger to keep yourself topped off on FP pretty much throughout the fight.
Bloodhound fang moveset helped stop alectos charging attacks plus Gave me space to avoid hits. Took me almost half an hour to finally beat though. The arm grab also takes all if not most of your heath too apart from the jump attack. The arm attack basically is her grabbing and stabbing your chest. I liked this boss despite it all.
I had fun with the secret encounter variation of this boss. With this one I get ruined by her jump AOE attack, which the secret encounter didn't have, and her much larger health pool. I'm saving this boss for later, lol.
As a mage and several attempts: I used my moonveil +9, don’t dodge (only when she like really has you in her combo) and in the other times just run away from her and keep your stamina in check. Then when you have some distance and she is running towards you use L1 or L2 and immediately run again. Works great 😊
Level 118, double twinblade (eleonora + frost godskin) faith dex build. Took 10 tries. With eleonora blade ability you can stun her very easily and stop her attacks, switch to a dagger and deal massive damage. Was a fun boss.
If you are a mage build with a high intel. Try this… I beat him in under 20 seconds. First you need azuras comet and also the cerulean hidden tear which eliminates all FP consumption for a good while. When you get into the fighting ring back up to left back corner and target him. Drink the flask and target him then hit him with the comet… he is down in one shot. This is only a suggestion for high level mage builds who are struggling.
One instant cheese method, credit goes to one anonymous poster on fextra life wiki: A. You will need 21 intelligence ( my suggestion, can get without intelligence build by equip godrick great rune, glintstone crown, Marika seal talismans, any other int incr talisman) can get from 7 int to 21int, with these equipped. B. Staff with int req 21 or less C. Freezing Mist spell, can be bought from preceptor seluvis, or kill him and give bell bearing and obtain ) Plan: On entering evergaol, immediately Crouch and go to bush on left. Alecto will spawn and after sometime, start facing another direction. Crouch and go by the stones and get behind alecto. Don't come too close or stand on the bluish alecto spawning mark on the ground, or she will notice your presence and go aggro. Once you are reasonable distance behind alecto,just enough that the spell connects with her. spam with the freezing mist spell. You will know spell has connected with her, if some mist sticks to her back, once the actual mist animation goes off. You will have to take 5-6 fp flasks , as you will require to have 2 mist spams for each spell damage to kick in. This spell doesn't aggro unaware enemies and as long as you don't go close enough or get on the blue areas ,you can cheese easily
I have a REALLY good tip! Use an upgrade Bloodhound's Fang. Maybe level 5 or 6, whichever level you can get it. When attacking, use Bloodhound's Finesse to deal your damage, make sure to time it when he's coming towards you. Dodge the red attacks, and only use the ability to kill Alecto. I think about two blue flasks will give you enough FP to kill him. I used this method and I killed Alecto. Bloodhound's Finesse is REALLY OP!
Tried her last night to get the Tiche summon, must have tried dozens of times, couldn't beat her (got close a lot, but nope). At level 100+, with Moonveil +9, Int build. Started up the game today. Hit her once, then ran to the edge of the arena, near some rocks as some other posters have mentioned (just not too close you may fall). She followed, and there at the edge her AI apparently gets muddled as she didn't do a lot of her crazy jumps and the AOE, she mostly just seemed to be a LOT less aggressive. At that point I just kept hitting her until she died. What a relief. :P
This was honestly one of the funnest bossfights for me because it required me to use all of my abilities and I felt like I could go all out compared to the other bosses that just die too quickly and easily
Try kiting the boss around the evergaol circle, and run/roll out of her attsckd. Wait for Alecto to pause after a big move and quickly run in for a single hit, repeat.
I found backing her against the fog wall or a rock to be very consistent. She can’t backstep away after your attacks so you can just lay into her with no danger. Then you get repostes from the front.
Abdullah's Moon blade the spell you get for killing the big boss dragon in that area stuns the hell out of her the only record she has is for like jump back even then it can still just continue to non-stop stomacher that's how I killed her did ran out of stamina which makes it a little difficult but yeah had enough MP to use it
just beat her/him. took a few tries. but wasn’t to bad. eleonoras pole blade plus 9 just use ash to stun lock her along with heavy attack. she’ll stun almost everytime. just make sure to keep your distance
I beat her at level 122 and even then it was an absolute grind. Moonveil +9 and used the Transient Moonlight heavy vertical every time she charged at me. It will stop her dead and even allow a free hit in if you’re fast enough. Counterpunch and take your time, let her come to you.
I don't know why, but I find the dodge timing on the big AOE attack so hard to get right. I feel like no matter when I dodge, unless I do it far too late, the helix is still active when I come up. I've definitely noticed taking extra damage a second after the attack ends to kill me, too, which feels weird because I don't get a notice that I've been inflicted with blood loss or anything.
My favorite fight in the game so far. I am level 106 Sorcerer build and have the Moonaveil katana and another one to dual wield. I always use magic as my primary but it wasnt working for this boss. The Moonveils katana Special ability got me through this fight. I definitely had to adapt compared to what I normally do
defo one of the more difficult bosses. Especially if you are only levelled for mid game. Took about 15 tries. Her grab attack kept one shotting me, so frustrating. Strat that worked for me is flame of redmanes w/ the utchigatana. 2 of those stuns her for a crit attack. keep repeating that and when you run out of FP make sure you sprint to other side to give time for flask. Also have adula moonblade ready in L1 for a long range stun attack if she is about to jump. Use carian filgreed crest and assassins crimson dagger for HP recover from crit hits and lower FP cost from Flame of redmanes ;)
Soooo I've learned that this fight is essentially baiting her into the ground stabs and her drag attack so that you can get a backstab and R2 attack. Only ever dodge left on her forward dashes and you're good
This guy has way too much fucking health. His attacks aren't THAT hard to learn but trying to not get hit once for a 5 min fight is ridiculous. That's how long it takes to wear him down and I'm lvl 180.
@@crypticbombs8840 Uchikatana+19 and Meteoric Ore Blade+10. Was trying to cheese him with seppuku and fire's deadly sin but he's not susceptible to staggering or bleed damage.
It was a pain in the ass until I found out her weakness as a dual wield build. Just used charged attack while she starts to run towards me from a proper distance and ran away after successful hit. She never dodges it and still runs like a dumbass, gets interrupted. I’ve used the talisman which boosts the charged attack as well, so hit like a trunk every time I repeat. I’ve used thunderbolt ashes of war if I have the opportunity, especially after her aoe attack, it is really life saver when you need ranged attack. I beat her with almost no hit after hours :)
Flame, grant me strength, rivers of blood, cerulean hidden tear, golden vow tears her up if you time your weapon art whenever she rushes or does the overhead slam
I bombarded that boss with Ancient Death Rancor and finished with the mini Comet Azur of the Sword of Night and Flame. I'm very glad I switched up my build because that boss was a nightmare, even as a caster lol
I hated this boss at first, but now i like him. Really satisfying to beat. I play as mage and most bosses i dont even know what moves they have, because i summon mimic or headless, they aggro and i spam rocks/comet on enemy. This one you actually have to learn attacks and fight properly. And by fighting i mean always running away :) and dodging back to evade his infinite attacks. Eventually he will end combo by jump attack, which is what we want. After landing he is vulnerable for a moment so you can heal or use spell. Giant frozen greatsword spell from Ranni quest works well.
Omg I finally did this as a mage. Equiped ranni's snow witch head. use greatblade phalanx before the fight. To start the fight run away from him, use ranni's dark moon. Then use the adula's moonblade spell. Keep RUNNING away (not dodging) and use adula's moonblade after his combo's. I could even get in another dark moon when alecto throws his magic knife (dark moon dispells sorcerys's)
I got my top tier enemies and bosses and dungeons rn that i hate with my gut. And I can say, this boss is one of them. Of all dark souls games i played
Ice attacks do pretty good damage against this boss. Another way is to keep your distance and do one jump attack at a time. Having a two-handed-weapon with good reach will obviously help here.
This is one of those boss fights that, even though it took me a long time and many battles to win, I never got upset. Felt like a real PvP- type fight and not just fromsoftware trolling me.
This fight is tough but it’s fun AF. It’s a challenge. I eventually used the Ruin Greatsword and just kept blasting her ass into the air. One strike staggered her and It was rewarding after all the ass kickings she handed to me to hand it back to her.
I tried for a few hours to beat him . Then I gave up and tried to cheese. Didn't go well. Left it to try another day with fresh mind. I learned his movement, equpied with shield and two handed sword. My strategy was moving backwards all the time being ready for his aoe. I hit with heavy attack every time after his jump attack and with light attack between his quick stabs. I managed to hit him even up to three times without getting hit myself. Finally got him after fu***** fifty rounds without any hp loss. Proud of myself. It was one of the most diffucult fights i had in this game so far. Cold blood, patience, moving backwards.
Won't bleed, can't use rot. Incantations and sorceries are basically useless. All you can do is let her chase you around and punish her....super fun....
I walked in their at level 80 after killing Astel and she sent my confidence back to Hell, lol.

Well not all, I beat that fat boy that uses fire orbs with ease first go and I'm the worst elden ring player ever. Also that one that uses frost damage is easy(ish). So many others do suck. This guy looks worse than crucible knight, but those black tiche ashes are so good.
@@myrkflinn4331 That's the thing about elden ring that some people still defend, some enemies should NOT have super dooper hyper armor, like Assassins? There are so many such enemies and bosses from a design perspective, lot of things doesn't make any sense about the game. Unfortunately I feel like it's become a niche and trend where anything FromSoftware throws at us, we have to accept and "git gud" irrespective of terrible boss/enemies design, some clunky combat feels/mechanics, etc list goes on and all they do is "you have to gid gud" rather than criticizing or find a way to make FromSoftware realize they need to make lot of improvements in their mechanics and balancing the game out. Poise is broken in this game, like completely. I wear heavy armor with the highest poise yet you'll be interrupted and staggered by LOT of normal basic enemies (not talking about rats and all, its still a bad design, doesn't make any sense). Enemies can attack through solid walls but we can't. There's so much that they need to improve on. Not just Elden Ring, I've heard this has been going on since their early souls game.

I've been at it for a couple of hours now, I keep getting close, then dying via a stupid mistake.
This boss has far too much hp and is immune to any useful status unless you run int for easy frost use.
I'm using a frostbite + bleed weapon, think that will be a good weapon for this fight.
@@minusinfinity6974 it is completely immune to the bleed component so pure frostbite may be better.
If you aren't running an arcane build or pure dex build you have a few options to tackle this fight that work ok.
1) Colossal class weapons or weapons with enough stagger value like greatsword and halberd. You can easily flinch Alecto every hit with these or even stagger lock her to death if you attack fast enough. Jumping attacks work best.
2) If you are a mage, Icecrag or Adula's Moonblade work very well in this fight and adula can be used to stunlock. Naturally frost scales better with int builds too.
3) Spammable weapon arts with stagger value. Something like the falling star beast weapon from Mt Gelmir can stun with every successful hit.
4) This is the final method and it is what I did as I was running an arcane build and didn't want to reroll for a better method. You can use Carian Retaliation on any shield and time your parry to parry the magic projectiles that drain max health from Alecto. This does a sizeable chunk of damage every time the swords connect from the retaliation.
Adding to @@malpheus4299 useful comment, if you’re by chance running an arcane build (hopefully you have an upgraded dragon communion seal with S scaling in arcane), the Dragonice Incantion works wonders on her. As long as you get it off in time she will be stunned the entire incantion and it will proc Frostbite on her. A fully charged breath takes almost 25% of her health. That is with 50 arcane though. This bitch is no joke.
She can be staggered consistently with halo scythe, she'll dodge though so you gotta wait for her to jump or back into the wall.
Yeah, I fully agree with you on that, she is way to overpower and it's not fair that we can fall off the cliff, but not her. Worse boss ever in the game. I can't believe she is immune to all status effects, rot and all that has help me out a lot, but not with her.
As a strength build after an hour of attempts, I locked on and ran around to avoid attacks and did a jumping r2 whenever she did her jumping regular or aoe attack. Took me 5 mins
Yea whenever she did her aoe or jumping attack I just did my bloody slash while she was mid air n she just flew back then I’ll hit her a few times then start running waiting till she does it again but it took me hella tries to figure this out cuz I had to find out her pattern set

Took me….substantially more time. Arcane bleed build - definitely not made for content like this. Couldn’t bleed him, sleep, poison/rot, frenzy, frostbite. Tried everything I could think of until….SOMETHING WORKED!!! Ah, plus…lvl 58 is quite under-leveled for this place I’m sure.
As an arcane/dex user, you just want to jump across labyrinth and then when you het to sharp point socks.
Get dex and strength to required level for equipping goodies. Pumped the rest into vigor/endurance as well as arcane if you’re able to.
But, what I could do, was pretty easy and affective.
I just drove to spots on the property where privilege is allowed. I can only take out 400 smack-a-roos per ATM. at least they have cameras
This fight seems very off to me the boss occasionally feels normal but when I die and come back it seems to have a constant agro leaving absolutely no room for any type of attack it is just constant spamming b
I've been playing with the ruin greatsword. I assumed she'd dodge the skill attack, but after a dozen failed attempts, I gave it a try. Worked like a charm. She only dodged one attack. The rest of the time she was being thrown into the air or being guard broken. Very satisfying cheese.

This helped me as well. Had to 2 hand it to wield it but spammed him until he ended up in the corner and cheesed the rest of the fight.

I found these evergaols balanced extremely inconsistent in Elden Ring. This is a middle game area of Elden Ring, but for some reason at
level 142 with a maxed out weapon I feel this boss still does exceptionally high damage and my attack power seems rather average. Whereas Godfrey for example over at Atleus Plateau, and area which is a lot after Lumia Lake feels a much fairer and consistent fight in terms of my damage dealt and damage I can take. I can’t help but think that this boss should’ve been at a late game evergaol, but yeah some of these evergaols seem way to inconsistent on the player, especially if they over level and come back to face a boss post game.
Well to be fair Altus plateau and liurnia of the lakes are supposed to be tackled a lot earlier in the game than moonlight altar is, so it makes sense they're easier

Well the problem is, Lake of Rot and thus Astel and the Moonlight Altar after him are meant to be tackled after Altus Plateau because they're an out of the way secret area. You cannot get to Moonlight Altar unless you know what you're doing. This doesn't count as "a mid game area."

I don't think this area is meant to be "middle game". Pretty sure it's considered late game, even though you can get there pretty early if you know what to do, which most people won't on their first playthrough.

somehow was one of the easier bosses, I run hig vig and str build so it may not be suitable for all players but here are my tips.
• dodge, dodge, dodge. use her own tactics against her by constantly dodging and staying far away.
• play aggressive. don't attack when she moves slowly and is ready to dodge, attack immediately when she's aggro and running towards you, she usually doesn't dodge.
chain your attacks. she stops attacking for a half second when she takes damage, use it to your advantage and chain attacks until she stuns and then do a backstab.
• don't run. preserve as much stamina as possible because you'll either be chaining or dodging.
• most important of all, dodge that cheese ass bleed move. when she jumps in the air and has red streaks coming off her blade, GTFO. not only is it damn near inescapable, it does a ton of damage and causes additional bleed damage.
and remember, don't give up tarnished!
Aspects of the crucible horn is an easy counter to this boss. When he charges, just charge at him with the horn and he will receive massive damage and get knocked to the ground. Very satisfying to use.

Just beat her. Took about 10 tries. I finally just gave up with dodging. I locked on and ran around until she performed the ground pound or blood spin move and then I went in for two slashes and got out. Beat her in a single try with that strat. Hope this helps!

To my mage brethren use adula moonblade and greatblade phalanx. Keep kiting her and cast your phalanx. Whenever your phalanx hit her, she’ll stagger a bit use this opportunity to whack her with the moonblade. Keep your distance to increase your chance of avoiding the aoe jump attack.
I used moonveil and carian phalanx and just barely beat it even when cheesing the moonveil ash of war at every chance I had

Further tip:
Don’t get greedy. Seriously. It may not be news for a lot of older souls players but as a new soul and mage I got real cocky real fast and just spammed spells to victory on a lot of bosses. Stick right outside the range of her dagger until you start to see her give you a little space, then back up because she might plunge on you. If she’s next to you and you’re finishing an animation that’s your queue to dodge and watch your stamina.
Shes so easy all you had to do bait her attack. After she exhaust her combo then jump on her and back off then repeat
Did the same thing. I'm running a +5 moonlight sword together with adula frostblade. You can do a 3-hit adula strikes right at the start of battle and chip away about 20% of her health if you proc frost.
This boss took me so many attempts. I think this is the first time I actually experienced blood boiling rage, for a game. Seriously, this boss is insane. I couldn’t bleed him, couldn’t sleep him, couldn’t even poison or rot him but man, this is so worth completing.
I won’t spoil anything but the thing he drops is nuts. I maxed out the spirit ash to +10 and was blown away when I summoned her for a boss fight. He does so much damage so quickly. I used the summon on Lansseix (butchered that spelling) dragon and I think I might’ve only gotten two or three hits in.
Meanwhile….Black knife tiche is hitting the enemy boss for damage in the thousands. At first, when I saw the damage on the healthbar of the opponent, I thought that was me doing that much damage. Boy was I wrong….I have most if my other spirits in the +7 range, not a single one comes close to this one. It’s almost too good unfortunately. I’m okay with my summon kind of drawing aggro and dealing a couple hundred damage but, imo, it makes it substantially less fun when you can just cheese bosses by attacking with an op spell while they’re focused on the summon.

@@66jesko Black knife Tiche will help a lot with Melania. I resorted to using her when I got that bitch to about 5% health on the 2nd phase. I’ve never raged at a game before, lol. Melania though….she made me use curse words I didn’t even know I knew. She reminded me of every katana weeb I invaded. She starts losing so then she spams waterfowl dance and bam, ya dead. (Before anyone says it, 42 vigor, 60% damage reduction with black knight gear, black flame protect me and golden vow. I was not squish.)
Oh but if you’re going to use Tiche, try to fight somewhat aggressively. Melania is one of the few bosses that can actually handle Tiche with ease.

This boss needs a nerf. I beat him but he does way too much damage for how fast he moves. I mean I am in heavy armor and he was still one shotting me with full health (1287). Ice attacks seem to work well on him though. If you hit him with Dragon Ice as he is spawning you can do a fair amount of damage before he even moves. Still though, I struggled with Midir less than this guy.

I still suggest people follow my tactic if you can't stun lock or poise break him infinitely, running left just seems to be his weakness for some ungodly reason I can kite his ass for 30 minutes if I wanted. It literally feels like you aren't even supposed to be fighting her yet. The spike in difficulty is just so ridiculous, that I can't imagine Fromsoft really expected you to fight her after Astel. I know she's optional, but still, most players are gonna explore the area and find her. It's a fun fight, but the amount of damage she puts out just feels fucking silly.
Such a horseshit fight. As a mage, I never get to attack when he gets to two-shot me for free. This might as well be impossible considering how unfair it is.
It's *her, all black knife assassins are women. And I found as an int user that just learning her moves, dodging them and using the openings to deal a bit of damage with Night Shard works, you can even get hits in with Rock Sling tho even 4 full hits didn't stun her 😅
Use Moonveil only with Transient Moonlight, take your time and distance from him and when he uses attack that stops him for 2 seconds, spam the skill, if you're not greedy this is easy.

Just Beat her with a Level 85 Astrologer pure int build was a NIGHTMARE, I ended up using Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling with only the Twinsage Crown equipped 30 Vig 25 Mind and 72 int, only having the Crown equiped made dodging her alot easier due to Light load took almost 3 hours of Deaths to get her down though.
Hi, I am an astrologer myself and had some trouble in the first time. But then I found a super easy way after couple of tries. You just have to use Adulas Moonblade on him, which you should have aquired at this point by slaying the dragon that comes right before this fight. super easy fight with this, got him first try after equipping this.
Thanks for the help. I just memorized the attack patterns after about 10 tries and made sure to dodge roll to a safe distance. Once she launch into the air for the slam attack I would wail on her with Adula's Moonblade spell. Also, a good time to hit her is after her mega aoe lunge. Be patient and rinse and repeat.

I wasnt able to see any of her moveset. I literally walked up with my mimic right when she spawned in and took away 90% of her health with my +9 and +8 katanas. I was only around level 100 so dont know if it was a glitch but this was the easiest boss in the game for me lmao

Thank you so much. With putting all my talismans towards increased fp and stamina as well as boosting corcery. I finally found my. “KILL ALECTO!” Button. Three full barrages of ice swords and finished it off with two pokes of a dagger
She's my favorite boss in the game so far. Figuring out how to beat hear was really satisfying and my final fight after 10 attempts or so was super clean and fun as a melee build.
This was not fun at all and boring she has like 4 attacks which get super fucking repetitive
Quick tip for those struggling with this guy: apply “Glimstone pebble” ash to your weapon and use that sweet special when black knight is about to land a hit - it will interrupt his attack. You can spam it to break his poise or press heavy attack to deliver ash following special. Pebbles ash distance is short, but it has great ability to stagger your opponents. The ash can be bought from Rogier or found on wooden sword at Carian manor.

Nagakiba+unsheathe is a good strat for anyone struggling. The length on the weapon means you can catch her as she's moving in to attack roughly 85% of the time and beat her to the punch. Just roll away from the instadeath frenzy attack and you're good

Okay I’m writing this to every quality build that used bloodhoundfang as a main.
So the most important thing in winning this battle is by altering the usages between parrying and double handing your weapon. There are opportunities that are very easy to punish and get a parry in. But in order to trigger these you have to be on mid distance and let the black knife come to you.
On the other hand once the boss starts to engage you, definitely use the weapon two handed. It’s important to wait until the boss is done with a combo or is about to end it and you can trade the damage. With that there is an opportunity to hit 2-3 R1 hits as the boss is momentarily staggered. With a combination of parry and two handed staggers, it’s quite possible to do this. Most important, try to evade the fire slashes by rolling to the left or right, and landing a parry and the crit gives you back the health that the boss stole from you. So don’t worry should the boss land one on you.
For fellow spellswords, use either carian slicer or carian greatsword for easy poise break since their range allows u follow her when she dashes and its enough to interrupt her attacks, it also helps for the second phase when she gets more aggressive
I’ve been fighting her for almost 3 hours and the way I did it was by using buckler’s Parry and I parried her as much as I could. Most insane miniboss I fought so far 😭 but seeing her getting parried was so satisfying!
there is a delay before many attacks she makes which makes it easy to set up some weapon arts
After trying to beat this boss for over an hour I decided to use Rahdan starscourge swords. The gravity pull then lightening gets her everytime.

After so many different approaches , I arrived at a sad but effective strategy , abandoned mobility completely and embraced absolute defense with overwhelming firepower , I equipped my omen armor with absurd armor poise of 86 , two handed my blasphemous blade and spammed Taker's flames until the bitch folded and tried in vain to breach my armor .
Btw she is completely vulnerable to forward facing attacks like that , as she thinks she can back step out of reach , so attacks that keep going for a distance like Taker's flames or even moonveil katana heavy attack will catch her off guard.
She greatly pissed me off, I mean I beat her , but I don't feel like it is cool to let her do that much damage on top of such blistering speeds that my eyes strain to keep her in my sight
you can cheese her. i found out by accident. theres a rock formation across from where she spawns. its a rock where it looks like you could also fall off from. if she falls in, she will stop attacking. we slipped in by accident and she wouldnt attack anymore. so i clapped them cheeks. it shouldn't be too hard to replicate. just bait her onto the rock and duke it out a bit till she slips in.

As a mage I strictly used backing up, rolls, and comet. I actually forgot to switch the talismans from when I was trying melee so I made it a bit more difficult on myself.
At start of fight run to the left and you get free shots until you run out of endurance. I suggest using the flask for not mana here. Eventually he will use a blood skill though, so be careful.
Rest of the fight5 back up until he jumps in the air for a plunge attack. One roll backwards when you see the jump gives you space and time to cast a comet.
When he does the skill where he drags the dagger through ground back up and fire one comet, be ready to roll back to avoid the follow up attacks.
When he does his blood jump roll twice to gain enough distance, and just like the other plunge attack you have enough time to cast a comet.
Use these times to use flasks when necessary as well.
This is probably the worst boss I've faced in this game.
its really fun if you know the patterns, honestly pretty fair fight, no instant 1 shot abilities, and everything is choreographed pretty well. if you go for light stabs and dont get greedy its cool

There is a rock to the left or due west of you entering the gaol. For some reason, Alecto doesn't like jumping onto it and tend to walk round it. For mages you can pretty much stand on it and spam spells until she dies. Melee builds might need to alternate jump off and back on. If you trap her in a corner next to cliff edge below the rock, you can swing at her until her health depletes.
I did a mix of both. Spammed spells until she had 30% health left. Then jumped around the rock and hitting her with moonveil. I did trap her in a corner and finished her off with one hit.
I tried various approaches and finally settled on using the repeating thrust ashes with cold. That did tons of damage (up to 2k) knocked her down, so all I had to do was evade her until I could place the attack. It also helped to understand that she gets way less aggressive if you put the pressure on like that, giving you time to recover stamina/hp/fp.
But yeah, it also took me forever to beat her.
About 3 guard counters for me could break his posture so you can go in for the critical.
Most of his normal blade attacks can be blocked and countered.
Know when to dodge his grab and blood arc.
Run away once you see him wind up for the blood combo. If you're quite close to him then dodge and pray.
Get the hang of this and you're good to go. Patience and not being greedy is the key here.

I beat this bastard by using the moonveil weapon art. She doesn't fight fair so a cheese strategy is acceptable imo.
Start the fight by getting a free hit, then run away. Once you've created some distance she will come at you in a straight line. Just time your weapon art (strong works best because it has better range) to connect as she gets close. Immediately run away after landing the hit (or missing), then repeat until she's dead.
problem is her side step, soon as she pulls that shit off the whole field dynamic of hers changes, its a constant reset
for mage/faith int build, try this out use the falling star beastjaw i upgrade it to +7. armor set i wear radahn's armor except the helmet. I then replace the helmet with twinsage glintstone crown to boost INT. For talisman, i use anything that boost INT, and STAMINA recovery. remove everything other than health, mixture and mana potion for this fight as u want to optimize your selection of item during battle. then just enter the battle. target the assasin then use ur skill every timely 1.5 sec. just keep it steady, she will be stunned locked and sometimes staggered. dont even bother to heavy attack, just use the skills. drink potion once a while and thats it. if u do it right, she cant use any jump attack or grab skill on you at all and the battle is over.
keep walking back wait for her jump atack and do a jumping atack after, repeat like 50 times, frosty stomp is also good
For anyone just getting around to this, take the Darkmoon Greatsword that you find under the church behind the dragon and practice a little. After you get decent with it you can just spam the ash of war at her until she’s in range to deal damage.
Bait her overhead attack by running away from that bunch of really close together stabs and you’ll get your distance back to repeat.
Dont forget he/she can grab you and take like 80% of your health in one hit, im level 187
I defeated Malenia in NG+ with ease, was getting bored of not being able to be challenged anymore and this SOB humbled me so quickly. For those still needing help just lock on and roll into her whenever she comes at you jump attack and repeat.
Kind of late but this is the easiest way to defeat the boss. Of course, it does take a while, but it very likely ensures you never get hit if you space yourself
I have another strategy if people aren’t fully invested into cheesing but don’t mind a little bit. Deaths poker. Do the weapon art follow up with an r1 attack. If the initial flame hasn’t dealt much damage, lure the knight back in to. Frost damage seems to be the only real consistent effect.
Also, not sure if it’s been patched but rolling with the briar amour is not very useful
if you're using any ugs the fight becomes somewhat trivial, as long as your hit connects the guy gets stunned and you've got some leeway to recover or maintain a good distance. You can even interrupt the chargeup before he jumps into the air and does the tornado thing.
Actually beat this boss on the 3rd try with the moonveil plus 10. Quickly leveled up my ashes to plus 10 after
If you have the bloodhound fang, you can interrupt her attacks. You can also knock her down when she leaps up into the air, just use your ashes of war and pick at her health. She’s worth beating, though I died like ten times. She drops arguably one of the best summons in the game
I defeated this boss using Grafted Blade Greatsword (it drops from a boss battle in the west peninsula fort).......just use jump heavy attack and dodge the big red ball attack as it will one shot you......it took me more than 2hrs but boy it was worth it
Here was my strategy to get her. Glintstone pebble on weapon to interrupt her and then Asulas Spellblade. I open the fight with Phalanx on and send 2 Moon at her and then maintain a range with your pebble. If you spam pebble enough she will keep a range distance. Good luck
Another way to exploit her low poise is using a weapon that has the Glintblade Phalanx ash of war, such as Rogier's Rapier. You can combine this with Carian's Filigreed Crest and the Assassin's Cerulean Dagger to keep yourself topped off on FP pretty much throughout the fight.
I just used Bloodhound's fang 9 for the sweeping damage and cheesed her with the Rivers of Blood for the most part while keeping my distance.
Bloodhound fang moveset helped stop alectos charging attacks plus Gave me space to avoid hits. Took me almost half an hour to finally beat though. The arm grab also takes all if not most of your heath too apart from the jump attack. The arm attack basically is her grabbing and stabbing your chest. I liked this boss despite it all.
This is by far the hardest boss in the game. I had less trouble with Radhan.

I had fun with the secret encounter variation of this boss. With this one I get ruined by her jump AOE attack, which the secret encounter didn't have, and her much larger health pool. I'm saving this boss for later, lol.
As a mage and several attempts: I used my moonveil +9, don’t dodge (only when she like really has you in her combo) and in the other times just run away from her and keep your stamina in check. Then when you have some distance and she is running towards you use L1 or L2 and immediately run again. Works great 😊

Level 118, double twinblade (eleonora + frost godskin) faith dex build. Took 10 tries.
With eleonora blade ability you can stun her very easily and stop her attacks, switch to a dagger and deal massive damage.
Was a fun boss.
If you are a mage build with a high intel. Try this… I beat him in under 20 seconds. First you need azuras comet and also the cerulean hidden tear which eliminates all FP consumption for a good while. When you get into the fighting ring back up to left back corner and target him. Drink the flask and target him then hit him with the comet… he is down in one shot. This is only a suggestion for high level mage builds who are struggling.
One instant cheese method, credit goes to one anonymous poster on fextra life wiki:
A. You will need 21 intelligence ( my suggestion, can get without intelligence build by equip godrick great rune, glintstone crown, Marika seal talismans, any other int incr talisman) can get from 7 int to 21int, with these equipped.
B. Staff with int req 21 or less
C. Freezing Mist spell, can be bought from preceptor seluvis, or kill him and give bell bearing and obtain )
Plan:
On entering evergaol, immediately Crouch and go to bush on left. Alecto will spawn and after sometime, start facing another direction.
Crouch and go by the stones and get behind alecto. Don't come too close or stand on the bluish alecto spawning mark on the ground, or she will notice your presence and go aggro.
Once you are reasonable distance behind alecto,just enough that the spell connects with her. spam with the freezing mist spell. You will know spell has connected with her, if some mist sticks to her back, once the actual mist animation goes off.
You will have to take 5-6 fp flasks , as you will require to have 2 mist spams for each spell damage to kick in.
This spell doesn't aggro unaware enemies and as long as you don't go close enough or get on the blue areas ,you can cheese easily
I have a REALLY good tip! Use an upgrade Bloodhound's Fang. Maybe level 5 or 6, whichever level you can get it. When attacking, use Bloodhound's Finesse to deal your damage, make sure to time it when he's coming towards you. Dodge the red attacks, and only use the ability to kill Alecto. I think about two blue flasks will give you enough FP to kill him. I used this method and I killed Alecto. Bloodhound's Finesse is REALLY OP!
for my samurai’s! I used Hoslows Petal Whip +25 , kept the lock on, and got through it pretty easily (lvl 121) for lower levels, try the whips!
Tried her last night to get the Tiche summon, must have tried dozens of times, couldn't beat her (got close a lot, but nope). At level 100+, with Moonveil +9, Int build. Started up the game today. Hit her once, then ran to the edge of the arena, near some rocks as some other posters have mentioned (just not too close you may fall). She followed, and there at the edge her AI apparently gets muddled as she didn't do a lot of her crazy jumps and the AOE, she mostly just seemed to be a LOT less aggressive. At that point I just kept hitting her until she died. What a relief. :P

This was honestly one of the funnest bossfights for me because it required me to use all of my abilities and I felt like I could go all out compared to the other bosses that just die too quickly and easily
Try kiting the boss around the evergaol circle, and run/roll out of her attsckd. Wait for Alecto to pause after a big move and quickly run in for a single hit, repeat.
I found backing her against the fog wall or a rock to be very consistent. She can’t backstep away after your attacks so you can just lay into her with no danger. Then you get repostes from the front.
Abdullah's Moon blade the spell you get for killing the big boss dragon in that area stuns the hell out of her the only record she has is for like jump back even then it can still just continue to non-stop stomacher that's how I killed her did ran out of stamina which makes it a little difficult but yeah had enough MP to use it
just beat her/him. took a few tries. but wasn’t to bad. eleonoras pole blade plus 9 just use ash to stun lock her along with heavy attack. she’ll stun almost everytime. just make sure to keep your distance
I beat her at level 122 and even then it was an absolute grind. Moonveil +9 and used the Transient Moonlight heavy vertical every time she charged at me. It will stop her dead and even allow a free hit in if you’re fast enough. Counterpunch and take your time, let her come to you.
I don't know why, but I find the dodge timing on the big AOE attack so hard to get right. I feel like no matter when I dodge, unless I do it far too late, the helix is still active when I come up. I've definitely noticed taking extra damage a second after the attack ends to kill me, too, which feels weird because I don't get a notice that I've been inflicted with blood loss or anything.
My favorite fight in the game so far. I am level 106 Sorcerer build and have the Moonaveil katana and another one to dual wield. I always use magic as my primary but it wasnt working for this boss. The Moonveils katana Special ability got me through this fight. I definitely had to adapt compared to what I normally do
for magic users: bloodhound step to keep distance on ur right hand with staff in the left, keep casting carian phalanx and it’s cake
defo one of the more difficult bosses. Especially if you are only levelled for mid game. Took about 15 tries. Her grab attack kept one shotting me, so frustrating. Strat that worked for me is flame of redmanes w/ the utchigatana. 2 of those stuns her for a crit attack. keep repeating that and when you run out of FP make sure you sprint to other side to give time for flask. Also have adula moonblade ready in L1 for a long range stun attack if she is about to jump. Use carian filgreed crest and assassins crimson dagger for HP recover from crit hits and lower FP cost from Flame of redmanes ;)

Soooo I've learned that this fight is essentially baiting her into the ground stabs and her drag attack so that you can get a backstab and R2 attack. Only ever dodge left on her forward dashes and you're good
This guy has way too much fucking health. His attacks aren't THAT hard to learn but trying to not get hit once for a 5 min fight is ridiculous. That's how long it takes to wear him down and I'm lvl 180.
What weapon were you using?
@@crypticbombs8840 Uchikatana+19 and Meteoric Ore Blade+10. Was trying to cheese him with seppuku and fire's deadly sin but he's not susceptible to staggering or bleed damage.
It was a pain in the ass until I found out her weakness as a dual wield build. Just used charged attack while she starts to run towards me from a proper distance and ran away after successful hit. She never dodges it and still runs like a dumbass, gets interrupted. I’ve used the talisman which boosts the charged attack as well, so hit like a trunk every time I repeat. I’ve used thunderbolt ashes of war if I have the opportunity, especially after her aoe attack, it is really life saver when you need ranged attack. I beat her with almost no hit after hours :)
Flame, grant me strength, rivers of blood, cerulean hidden tear, golden vow tears her up if you time your weapon art whenever she rushes or does the overhead slam
I bombarded that boss with Ancient Death Rancor and finished with the mini Comet Azur of the Sword of Night and Flame. I'm very glad I switched up my build because that boss was a nightmare, even as a caster lol
I hated this boss at first, but now i like him. Really satisfying to beat.
I play as mage and most bosses i dont even know what moves they have, because i summon mimic or headless, they aggro and i spam rocks/comet on enemy. This one you actually have to learn attacks and fight properly. And by fighting i mean always running away :) and dodging back to evade his infinite attacks. Eventually he will end combo by jump attack, which is what we want. After landing he is vulnerable for a moment so you can heal or use spell. Giant frozen greatsword spell from Ranni quest works well.

Omg I finally did this as a mage. Equiped ranni's snow witch head. use greatblade phalanx before the fight. To start the fight run away from him, use ranni's dark moon. Then use the adula's moonblade spell. Keep RUNNING away (not dodging) and use adula's moonblade after his combo's. I could even get in another dark moon when alecto throws his magic knife (dark moon dispells sorcerys's)

When you spawn in the center, go to the edge on the left side and there’s a spot u can trap her by standing in front of her and she won’t attack

moonveil's weapon art. Trigger it once he attacks, it counters most of his close range attacks.

Ice attacks do pretty good damage against this boss. Another way is to keep your distance and do one jump attack at a time. Having a two-handed-weapon with good reach will obviously help here.
This is one of those boss fights that, even though it took me a long time and many battles to win, I never got upset. Felt like a real PvP- type fight and not just fromsoftware trolling me.

This fight is tough but it’s fun AF. It’s a challenge. I eventually used the Ruin Greatsword and just kept blasting her ass into the air. One strike staggered her and It was rewarding after all the ass kickings she handed to me to hand it back to her.
for anyone who still have tough time with her i used Lazulil glinstone sword and kept spamming L2 when she comes close
I tried for a few hours to beat him . Then I gave up and tried to cheese. Didn't go well. Left it to try another day with fresh mind. I learned his movement, equpied with shield and two handed sword. My strategy was moving backwards all the time being ready for his aoe. I hit with heavy attack every time after his jump attack and with light attack between his quick stabs. I managed to hit him even up to three times without getting hit myself. Finally got him after fu***** fifty rounds without any hp loss. Proud of myself. It was one of the most diffucult fights i had in this game so far. Cold blood, patience, moving backwards.
Won't bleed, can't use rot. Incantations and sorceries are basically useless. All you can do is let her chase you around and punish her....super fun....
