I tried several times to bullet journal, but was making it too complicated, three years ago I started with a very minimal bullet journal aesthetic like yours and have been loving it since...keeps all my stuff organized in one space.
I use my bullet journal for meal planning. I write everything I need to use up in fridge, freezer and pantry on the left page and then write meal ideas for the month on the right page. Then I can reference it when I plan my weekly meals so that I am using up the food that I have.

I love this. I’ve been bullet journaling since 2018 - it’s a daily practice. My method isn’t nearly as ornate or intricate as others - it’s very barebones, but it has worked so well for me.

Ornate is a really good word for how a lot of other people do bujo!! I love how it looks but it’s just not practical for me and my practice. 🤷🏼♀️
I love this set up. Some of the layouts I've seen are truly stunning- but overwhelming for a beginner. I feel like I could easily adopt this system and get more complicated later on if I wanted to. Thank you!
This video helped a lot! When I got my bullet journal for Christmas I was so happy. When I sat down to start writing I realized that, I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO. I was searching all over the internet trying to find videos. I starting watching this one and I knew it was the one! The layout is amazing I hope you have fun bullet journalling this year!

Your handwriting is so pretty, Ashlynne! The way you set these up is honestly so organized and streamlined... makes me want to get into the idea some, but perhaps I'll do it on a smaller scale for each school semester I'm in. My next class starts on January 18th, so thank you for the inspiration!

I love your simple set-up. Seeing all the other intricate (and beautiful) ones is overwhelming at the moment with other life things (kids, work, etc). If you have a platform online where you can post still photographs with comments about your set-up I would LOVE THAT! Including a cheat-sheet for grid spacing for those notebooks which are easy for anyone to find.
I am getting into bullet journaling this year. I realize that I am all over the place. So to get a grasp on my life, I’m bullet journaling. Thank you for sharing.
My husband and I are a waiting family for adoption. We are hoping to get a call to bring home our baby. That is what we are hoping and waiting for. Love your channel. With our adoption journey we have to pack minimal. We have requested a baby girl and will be matched after the baby is born. We will have only a short time to accept the match and grab our bags and go. I look forward to your videos on being minimal with my stuff and home. And especially when we get the match and have to be in a different state and have to be ready in a short time frame.
I’m adopted. Yay for adopting and thank you for giving an innocent human a home who needs one and most importantly being their family.

Wow this is very, very complicated. I would give up on the 2nd page with all that drawing. I find I can keep up with my life with a weekly/monthly calendar. If it gets too involved, I won't stick with it. Glad this works for you.

Thanks for a more simple approach! Some of the elaborate bujo content creators go a little overboard and I sometimes wonder how I would get anything else done if I did the same! Love the monthly habit trackers!

Your bullet journal is beautiful! I was thinking you should totally do a collaboration with moleskin to create and design a planner so the rest of us can buy something that is already set up! I love the idea of drawing out my own, but as a busy mama, I keep falling back on pre made planners 😅

I use my bujo for all kind of lists (book recommendations, wishlists, gift ideas..) and tracking crafting projects! I also use it as a vision board and for language learning.

Love the chill vibe of this video and thank you for showing your journaling technique. I'm always looking for how others use their bullet journal because I'm not sure what works for me in a sustainable way. The fancy ones are amazing, but I just know that I won't keep up with something like that. I am capable of making beautiful spreads, but if it's not something I will do every day then it defeats the purpose.

I love this and found so much inspiration from your video! I'm going to start my new Bullet Journal this week and looking for minimalist inspiration. It's been years since I was bullet journaling, but I needed a break because mine was full of art etc and I didn't feel like good enough. I think the minimalist style is more for me.

I love your setup! Thanks for sharing. I’ve been bullet journaling since 2018 but got overwhelmed by all the different trackers and spreads. Not to mention, I am definitely not artsy. Last year I decided to pair it way down. Just a calendar and events log. I liked it much better, but felt like I was missing some things. Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm on my third year bullet journaling. I started followed Amanda Rach Lee, but her monthly diaries are so beautiful and my drawing is not good. But i did find that i enjoy being creative in mine so i have a scrapbook style for mine. As i experience health challenges i have a section where i write down how i'm feeling each day, this has been really helpful to go back through when i speak to a doctor. But one of the most useful is my wish list because it helps me to spend wisely and reminds me what i'm saving for so i don't waste money.

I’ve been thinking about starting a mood tracking journal.. I just started therapy (mental health) yesterday and she told me she was planning to get me back into journaling so I’m thinking of ideas and also waiting for the day she’ll get me back into journaling lol

Hi! :) I'm a new follower. Planning to practice minimalism starting this year. Been watching some of your videos lately and I enjoyed them so much. BTW, your bullet journal is so refreshing to the eyes. Curious though, what do you do with them when the year is over? Do you throw them away? This is only my second year of using a journal. xD

This is really nice but I certainly wouldn’t call it even close to minimal unless you’re specifically referring to artwork. You are pretty advanced in terms of all the different sections and layouts you use. I definitely got some ideas for a couple of things I’d like to add to mine. Very nice video, thanks!

Question….do you utilize a shared calendar with your husband? We use the calendar app on the iPhone, but I’m considering “double entry” and doing this too. I need somewhere to write down all my tasks for the week. Thanks!

That's pretty awesome, I like your handwriting. I was wondering if you would consider selling these in the custom format you've made? The way you organize it seems great, but I'm very bad at drawing and my handwriting does not looks nearly as good as yours. I would definitely get one if you would!
