As another option, and not to say that it is any better than options you have discussed, is something like the MOD-54 device with the Paterson developing tanks. I haven't had the pleasure of using it, but I know it exists!
great video, one thing with the loading, maybe treat these trays as septums of a grafmatic holder, and use the loading tip, that is, curve the film, load 1" or so into the septum, let the film go, ie so it snaps flat, then push it the rest of the way home.
In Europ[e you can get this tank at FotoImpex in Berlin, I just ordered one. I found on the net also instructions how you can change the film holders so they can take 9x12. (Wich I use in my old plate camera's)
It would be fantastic if they could make the tank out of Steel or Aluminum as it would allow me to better keep the temperature stable for use in my temperature controlled bath which consists of my Sansaire Sous Vide machine, for color film.
I have a Yankee tank(12 sheets, 1.6 liter), a Mod 54(6 sheets, 1 liter) and a SP-455(4 sheets, 500ml). If I had to pick one it would be the Mod 54. I like the SP-455 excepts it tends to leave those anti-halation dye streaks on the back of my films (like my Jobo drum) though that might be a defective film septum. The Yankee tank takes half a gallon of solution and no matter how much agitation I go through I always get trapped air bubbles at the edge of the film. The FR tank in your film is probably better than the Yankee except for the slow drain (Like the last guy said, empty through the spout not the vent hole). Some have a hard time loading the Mod 54 but hey , that's photography . . . 1 liter is a good compromise.
DID YOU HAVE THE INCIDENT METER POINTING THE WRONG WAY ? I THOUGH INCIDENT READINGS WERE MADE BY THE LIGHT FALLING ON THE SUBJECT NOT REFLECTED OFF THE SUBJECT......ENJOYED THE VIDEO . JUST GOT ONE OF THESES TANKS.
The white dome is for incident metering, it was facing toward the light source - actually toward the camera. Then for reflected metering you slide the dome away from the sensor and point it at the subject.
Joe ... as you now know ... but for the sake of your viewers ... the SP-445 holds 4 sheets of4x5 film ... and takes less than a half a liter of developer, etc.
Joe Van Cleave You flaunt basic photographic knowledge. You cannot expose a negative in your camera. You will have a negative when your film is developed.

If you pour the chemicals out of the correct side, instead of the air hole, you'll find that it pours much faster.

will a person beable to put a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 sheet film in this also or will it not hold correctly?

Pour it out the other side of the tank, instead of using the air hole.
It's a nice idea and product but it is rediculusly priced. That price doesn't seems justifiable for a piece of plastic.
