I wish you well and many many blessings…. It seems to me you are both rich in love, family, and tradition. I love watching you. Now, in Italy for the summer… I will watch and imagine I’m in Dasa . God Bless you all.
So happy for your latest accomplishment! BTW, if you find yourself back in the states and craving this special dish of Eva's, you might try using the chile manzano (aka peron) pepper. You may have to source it from a Mexican grocer, but it might just be a decent substitute for the Calabrian 'pipi' pepper. Buon appetito!
You figured out what success is about: being creative, bringing light to peoples lives, giving back to the community, loving and being loved. In your 30s. You made it guys!
It is considered a very naive perspective to view the restaurant business in a simplistic and idealistic way. While your words hold great value and may uplift the place, it is imperative to recognize that merely serving delicious food and having creative ideas is insufficient. One of the primary reasons for numerous restaurant failures is the lack of strong foundations, diligent management, hard work, and a plethora of sacrifices, all of which are imperative to sustain and nourish the business.
My father was born and grew up in Dasa. He emigrated to Connecticut in the 1950s. As a young man, he painted those statutes that you showed in the video and that they parade around town at Easter. I have a picture of him painting one of them when he was in his teens.
To think I started watching this channel to see Eva get offended over American food, to now see that you're doing all these awesome things is warming to see! Living the life, and keeping culture alive.
As a professional pastry chef in the US, nothing is more important to me than high-quality flour. I'm so angry at the way American wheat is cultivated and produced, so you best believe I'm going to be buying your merch to support bringing an ancient mill back to life! Thanks for the videos to help me connect to my Italian roots! Can't wait to finally visit Italy once I have the funds!
Your grains are full of deadly glysophates pesticides and are genetically modified thanks to evil bayer monsanto. Monsanto go and glysophates imported products are banned in the EU
I am not from Calabria. I was born in Naples, quartiere Stella. My family, on my father side, came from a small village in Molise. I know what life is like in such a place. The accent and dialect may be different, but everything else is the same. Thank you for reminding me of home.
Eva and Harper, I have a lot of respect for what you’re doing in Dasa. I know it’s not much but I hope I’m one of many that want you to succeed with your project. All the best, Bob
I am 80 years old and have had a love affair my whole life with all things Italian. With all the dark events that are going on in our world today your project brought hope and light to my heart. The people of Dasa are a shining example of how life can be if we all make an effort to live in harmony. Can’t wait to take my next Sunday morning video trip to Dasa. Peace
Why on earth did this make me cry? I am not Italian nor have I ever been to Italy. I think it is because you are both such lovely and loving people who are passionate about traditional food and community. You have not only blessed us, your UA-cam community, but you are bringing great blessings to those of Dasa. What a delight to see how what you are doing is bringing such joy to the broader community. That to me is what life is all about and you two are shining examples of love, kindness, joy and community. The world needs more of you! Love from Australia
You two have created.....a PUB! This is a classic Public House. A public meeting place. The town can do with it what the town needs to do with it. For Dasa, they teach, and cook, and sing! Congratulations! This is more important than you even know. You are rightfully proud to have accomplished this. Bravo/Brava!
We'll see about that. The town is full of poor people. That's why those joyntz he mentioned in this piece closed. No one will buy shit that they can't afford. Of course, tourists will change all that and that would suck too.
@@J3unG I am from a poor run down crime infested city, but it has one great pub thats been there for 40 years and people go to it, probably the safest strip of road in the downtown area.
@@J3unG Just because people may be poor...the majority of those will come...and be welcomed with open arms and hearts...I know in MY heart that they will bring what they can and those who can will have brought more and Ava and Harper will make sure that EVERYONE is met with love, laughter, kinsman ship, fellowship, a FANTASTIC meal and the knowledge that they are truly loved and cared for by the family that is Dasa'!! And we as fans of this lovely couple and the town that could and absolutely DID, will watch the growth of La Locanda into much much more than a mere restaurant!!!
@@J3unG It looks like it's not a normal restaurant concept, more like a place that the locals can use for free (or at least for cheap). But you are right that any project can fail. I hope it will flourish because Eva's and Harper's intentions seem very positive, but we'll see.
@@J3unG Damn. It must be tough being you. How do you deal with being the poop at every party? Bringing the rain to every parade? And always drinking from a glass half-empty? ☹️
You guys are making my heart EXPLODE with excitement…. As a Senior Pasta Grammarian….. I APPLAUD THIS NEW ADVENTURE!!!! I’m so so so excited to see more of this content. First UA-cam, then tours, cookbooks, then your restaurant and eventually a PG legacy that lives long beyond all of us! 👏🏽 Bravo! The community coming together brought tears to my eyes. Xoxoxo
This is what success is meant to be used for in my opinion: create a better world. No matter if you do a small or a huge thing, if that thing makes the world a better place it was worth doing it. Thanks for making the world (and my country) a better place Eva and Harper. Grazie di cuore ❤
Eva & Harper!! Bravo!! Many small Italian towns are being abandoned and deserted. Your enterprise has brought new life to Dasa. I wish every good fortune to come your way and to the people of Dasa. My paternal Nona era nata a Reggio Calabria, so this resonates with me in a personal way. Chuck in Northern New England
Your story is so wholesome I'm MOVED. As an italian, a Southener, a small (not as small as Dasa, but anyway) city dweller, what you're doing is incredible. This is what social media should be able to bring if well used: two guys following their passion and sharing with a public, while helping a community develop. Sincerely, my only dear is Dasa doesn't get too much famous with your tours, and in so loose its authenticity. Keep up the very good job Federico from Trani, Puglia
this made me tear up. im 48 years old. my grandfather is sicilian, from le cerra friddi. as a kid his cousins would visit usa, bklyn nyc. always tell my grandfather to come back and visit. he couldnt he was sick. so the invite was alwys to my mother, myself and others. i havent been there since i was 11 i think. exactly as you said. the small village, the olive trees, the air, the food. id love to go again one day.
Let's see if these people make it past a year. There's nothing special about what they are doing relative to what people are already making in that town. The only novelty seems to be that an American owns it, which sucks in itself. I hope these neg posts make these people do the right thing and not be a way to make $$$ and to generate shitty YT content. I hope you got you thinking, Harper.
My husband's family is from Calabria and we got the privilege of visiting in 2019. The people, the places, and the food are AMAZING. People miss out by not going south!
I grew up in an italian American town in California. Wow that Resturant will be worth the drive. Once the locals pull put the instruments and start singing and dancing it's the most fun atmosphere you can have. Great food, freindly people, and a great time. BRAVO!
How lovely to watch this / at a time when there is so much fighting among people in general, so much disagreement - it is absolutely heart warming to see the spirit of this local community, the people, the sheer joy and appreciation for just the best and most simple food // made my day! Good luck to you both
True. But I see Dasà as the perfect place to picnic while reading or knitting or both (Audible). I’m not much of a people person, and dancing and singing get in the way of thinking and writing. Each to their own. But OMG, those humongous bowls of pasta!!! That beautiful restaurant - La Locanda? I didn’t catch the name, I was too busy drooling!
@@Hollis_has_questions Am entirely with you on not being a people person; am a massive introvert and the idea of picnicking or reading / knitting / audible sounds just lovely. But I enjoy watching them dance and while you def wouldn’t find me join in, I’d prob be sitting at a table stuffing my face w delicious food…
The townsfolk are what make it. For sure. This is what most of humanity has lost and forgotten. How many people can say they even know one or two of their neighbors? How many can say they have get togethers and all cook, eat and have a great time together? Very very few. If I personally could live in a community like this, I would and leave my hometown in a heartbeat. What a great community. Thank you for sharing!
Imagine a plate of simple pasta with red sauce costing the equivalent of $20 USD in that town. THAT would be something to cry about. The townsfolk prolly can't afford that. Does this guy even know about health care and retirement savings for his employees? I doubt it. If you're serious about taking care of the people in that town, YOU MAKE IT INTO A CO-OP so that people who work there have a stake in it. That way, your restaurant can continue to operate instead of employees shitting on it when the American goes away.
@@J3unGthis is the second comment on this video I have seen from you. You are SUCH a downer! And you have NO idea what you are talking about! You have no idea about their business model, or how “poor” the people are, what the arrangements are for the use of the building, or what, if any, profit margin they are aiming for. You are assuming an “employer-employees” situation exists. And after all the assumptions and no actual knowledge, you have the nerve To declare a prediction of woe. Take your negativity elsewhere.
In the US, life seems nothing but a race for success and money. Everything in life is valued by the mighty dollar, even people get evalöuated by their "net worth". How cruel, how inhuman! Italy is so much different. Life is about joy, savouring the food, the music, the sunshine! It´s about family and friends about "dolce far niente". In the US, when you say you work 12 to 14 hours a day, you will be admired, in Italy you will be pitied!
This is the coolest idea ever! More small communities worldwide could use this approach to rebuild the true sense of "Community". God bless all of you!!!!
Eva is absolutely radiant with Joy! Brava Eva! Harper looks so relaxed! Bravo Harper! What a great and exciting project You two have created! Bravissimi!!! ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🎉
I'm a 1st generation American. Both my parents are from the same village in Calabria, not far from Dasa. Calabria is absolutely beautiful. I try to go to Italy every couple years, but haven't been back to Calabria in a while. Hopefully next summer. Unfortunately, many of the small villages of Calabria are dying.
@@frankcirillo4246 By the way, I am also Italian, born in the Campania region , in southern Italy (near to the region of Eva and your parents), and live here in Germany.
I feel like it would be disrespectful to call this a phenomenal business model. This is life. This is community. This is how life could be, and can be, and you made it so. KUDOS to one and all. This is so inspiring.
Dammit. I’m not even Italian and this video brought happy tears to my eyes. You are both wonderful people with a wonderful mission in life. May you be successful in all of your endeavors. ❤
I was happy too as a North African (Libyan) but for a different reason which was how close we are as humans. I noticed that some of the players were using Arabic musical instruments, probably because it's close to Sicily.
I am an Italian chef originally from the Bronx and have been in Tucson since 1966. I had a pizza store in the Bronx and was taught by my grandma (from Modena ) and my mother and aunts, I took classes in culinary and worked with Greek chefs (one my brother in law) and still love to cook. I volunteer to cook for large groups like the 4-H horse camps and the boy scout camps on Mt Lemmon here in Tucson. I saw your video and just loved it! I am going to Greece, Italy and France July 1st. I lived with my family in Milan in the 60's ( my cousin is Massimo D'Alema) I subscribed and look forward to learning many recipies. Your "restaurant looks like my families Sunday dinners and warmed my heart. Thanks.
What an evolution has this channel undergone. I remember the first video I've seen on this channel (grocery shopping during the pandemic) when you "only" had a few thousands of subscribers. I'm astonished what you achieved. Be proud of yourselves!!!!!
Wow! You cracked the code to helping a whole village. Bravo to both of you, and to the whole town who came together to help you. Somehow I sense that this is just the beginning ❤
I think Regione Calabria should thank you and give you some kind of recognition for your work. It's a shame that they don't give a damn about this stuff. And I see it too with other content creators that try to bring attention to a wonderful, but abandoned region. For them, tourism in Calabria is only two months a year (july and august) and only on the beaches, and without a proper tourism board or even social media communications. It hurts, because it's my home region too. You two guys are doing God's work, and I wish you many years of success and happiness 🙏❤
By and large, the Palace of Obedience's public servants are jobsworths. If one is a fat cat or the project captures the attention of a regional leader they'll hop to it.
This story nearly brought me to tears. It's everything that I think is most important -- food & community, and the transformation that happens at the intersection of them. Bless this endeavor!
Bravissimi! Siete riusciti a portare vita in un paese della mia amata Calabria attraverso una serie di iniziative turistiche, culturali e gastronomiche. ❤
Excellent video guys - Harper I sincerely hope you apply for Italian citizenship because you and Eva seem to have become pillars of the local community!
I'm relatively new to Pasta Grammar but so pleased to have stumbled across your content. I'm first generation Italian-American and have had the pleasure of enjoying the hospitality of relatives in Puglia and Abruzzo. My roots in Italy are similar to Eva's....small towns where everyone knows everyone else's business. The warmth of the culture is lost, I think, today so I am more than pleased to see you Harper find value in it and to see Eva 'marinate' in the heritage of her hometown.....and YES! Food tastes better in Italy!
I had no idea that your endeavors went beyond Pasta Grammar but I’m not surprised that you have created something different. After watching this video, all that I have to say is, Congratulations!!!!!! I love the concept of the “restaurant “ in Daza. I think that you brought more life and happiness to the people of this town just when they needed it. The Italian way of community and sharing has been enhanced in a fabulous way by you and Eva. I wonder if you really know how deep the effect of your action is reaching. Just wonderful!!!!!
Eva Harper and my fellow grammarians. This spontaneous, cooperative, happy kind of 'destino' is the kind of thing that I just love to see and which often happens to me. When I was first contemplating retirement at the old age of 33, I was planning where to move etc but ultimately it all just fell into my lap and I hurried off to live in Mexico. I've been here happily for 37 years now and been very happy. I love how this Dasa Community effort is good for all concerned and you have a long unplanned 'vacation' there. I'm happy for you all, enjoy. Jim Oaxaca Mexico
This is fabulous! Your desire for space turned a restaurant that couldn't stay open into a place the whole community now uses. May fortune continue to smile upon you and the citizens of Desa'
Heh...if it's too expensive for the townsfolk to go to, then fuk that. This guy has dollar signs in his eyes. Seriously. I guess that's a bummer but I'm pointing this out so that this doesn't turn into a scam. BTW, we will find out about this spot. The Internet has a way of getting at the truth.
My first Italian ride was all the way through Calabria. Of course I went through Rome, Naples and through Sicily and Sardinia. It was Calabria that most touched my heart. Calabria is not only the heart of Italy, it’s probably the heart of Europe. What you’re doing in Eva’s hometown is lovely. I hope more Calabrians return home and bringing back joy and vitality.
I once went to a restaurant owned by locals, all the wives from a fisherman village cooked there, cooperative they called it... best fish I ever had... I feel like the concept should be more encouraged as it allows the community to grow; thanks for doing that!
Ok this video made me cry. I visited Italy last year for the first time and fell IN LOVE with Italy and the people. When I got back (I live in Seattle) I started binge watching UA-cam videos on Italy and italian food. Thats when I found your channel I love Ava. She's spunky and smart and is an amazing cook!! And you help show us all the beautiful things about her including her hometown. Im so excited for your new adventure. It seems like the perfect place. I just got back from Itay a couple weeks ago. I plan to go every year and hopefully discover this town too!! Thanks for sharing Italy and the Italian people with us!
Fantastic idea to have the restaurant and to help the community. Love that the flour mill is in the works. I hope you can make the upper story into a home or maybe a hotel so all the people that travel there for the Italian cooking school can stay right there. Bravo to Pasta Grammar and Dasa community.
You guys made what was Previouslys an abandoned restaurant, a building just waiting for the right time to come into relevance again into a Cultural heritage center that is bound to bring new life to the quiet town of Dasa. Its beautiful how so many people were able to contribute into making the place the way it is, not only will it act as a new place for gatherings and celebrations, but a place for learning about the intricate culture Dasa has always had but was never able to properly show. The Village Mill project is something i am greatly looking forward to seeing especially since it is literally centuries old and the people who have onced worked there is still alive, feels like a memorable videogame sidequest almost!
This is such a nice idea, and its these kind of things that can hopefully save and preserve towns like this in Southern Italy, that is turning into ghost towns. I do not know the story of Dasà in particular, but there are a lot of towns around that sadly are not as lucky, and with each generation its less and less people left as people don't have jobs there. So things like this + also hopefully more remote work could bring more life into those towns in Italy, and well also in other countries suffering from the same like Spain.
I am Proud of you. I am not a subscriber, I will never meet you, I will never go to this town. I am a small insignificant being that will never cross paths with your world. But I still want you to know, As a stranger, I am Very Proud of you. and for what you guys have done for that town.
I have travelled a lot in Italy and Sicily. Some time ago I rented a small car and drove solo and serendipity throughout Calabria Puglia and Abruzzo and fell in love with the people landscape and of course the food. I lived 10 years in France and dreamed of doing what you are doing but in the south of France where many villages are in decline. I think its great to find a way to infuse youthful energy into Evas natal village. Calabrians are super cool people in my book!
I think that I have only once shared one of your videos with my friends, given the short attention span of people on social media, but I am going to share this. It is so cool that you took an old, abandoned restaurant and turned it essentially into a community center, and one that the community is using to spread their cooking and to bring money into the community.
I love this! It's such a wonderful concept/project/location that exemplifies community spirit in a way that many of us have never even imagined. In the U.S. possibly the Amish communities were similar in the sharing spirit, but that's not the standard perspective in most communities, at least in the western world. The 20th & 21st centuries have left that behind without looking back and that's somewhat culturally tragic. You both have created a unique and lovely new tradition. Everything old is new again! ❤
This is really fantastic. We've watched your videos developed, from Harper pranking Eva, to what looks like a true partnership based on love and respect. The "restaurant" looks fantastic, an evolution (to me, anyway) of what a restaurant should be. Talk about serving the community. It's fantastic. We recently move from NYC to Umbria; I hope we can visit you in Calabria sometime. In bocca al lupo!
❤🤍💚❤🤍 Harper and Eva. Wow! I've been a huge fan of PG and marvelled over Eva's extensive repertoire of traditional Italian recipes and her incredibly gifted culinary prowess. I've also admired your accomplished production, editing, and promotion skills of your channel Harper and it's clearly a match made in heaven, of yours and Eva's collaborative skills coming together in creating this wonderful channel for us all to enjoy. ❤🤍💚❤🤍 You make each episode fun and interesting as well as educational. So a massive thank you to you both! Wonderful progress and deserved success with your Dasa project. Such an amazing thing to do in bringing the community together, doing such joyful events, all built around food, love and community spirit. ❤🤍💚❤🤍 You guys are amazing. Just one thing though Harper. Can you share your story again about how you and Eva actually got together? It was so Romantic. Maybe you could recapture the time for us? Your parents had been to Italy and met Eva before you even knew she existed. They knew she'd be perfect for you and did some covert match making and got you to help host her when she came by invitation to visit your parents in the USA. It was such a great story. I remember the long distance relationship you both worked at. The complications and lengthy process of obtainibg Eva's Visa for the USA. I'm sure your new PG fans would love to hear it too because it wasn't easy for either of you, but you kept determined together. Congratulations 🎉on your amazing team work, your hard work, and making it work, especially now, with Dasa. We love you both guys. I'm Italian too. I live in the UK and watching your shows and the amazing dishes Eva cooks, takes me back to my Italian roots filling me with such nostalgia and joy. Thank you . ❤ And good luck with the mill. 🎉🎉🎉
I absolutely love everything you’re doing here. You’ve given a fresh breath of life to a small village. The locals have a place to gather and enjoy life together and the visitors have a place to learn. Bringing the mill back to life is a step above and beyond and you are to be soundly congratulated not only for your forward thinking but for your courage and determination. I wish you and Dasa nothing but success! Bravo.
Oh my God, guys! Tanti auguri! I think it’s wonderful that you have your own restaurant there and a place to land with your Pastagrammar tours! I definitely want to go on one of the tours with you someday. I think this video did more than anything to clinch it for me. And more than anything, Harper and Eva, I want to thank you both for creating my “happy place” every Sunday morning! I do not miss a single video of yours and some I have watched several times. I have learned so much and I am starting to make some of the recipes. (Keep in mind, this comment comes from a guy that could barely fry an egg!) Keep the videos coming! Lots of love to you, mamma Rosa, and the wonderful people of the Dasà.
I live in the US and my Grandparents came from Italy. They had 5 children and my Mother was the youngest. The home that they built and the beautiful backyard with the stucco and grapevines was like the towns that they camp from. We would have so many parties there with all of the aunts and uncles with many, many, cousins. Thank you for bringing back so many memories. Grazie! ❤ Vivo negli Stati Uniti e i miei nonni venivano dall'Italia. Grazie! ❤
Bravi! I am so happy for you guys and for your family and friends in Dasà. The thing that really resonated with me from this was what Harper said about "incredible people who were so welcoming who just think that it is the best thing possible in life to be incredible hosts." That for me is the soul of rural Italy and we are fortunate to have found our version of it in our little town, Casperia, in the Sabine hills north of Rome. All the best to you and Eva and the people of Dasà with your new restaurant and mill project. Vi auguro un grande in bocca al lupo.
Auguri❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️. This is EXACTLY what your audience wants!!! The REAL Italy♥️♥️♥️♥️. Not the slick tourist facade. We want to see authentic food, music, people & how they really live in their everyday life. We LOVE you all💛🧡❤️♥️

It's beautiful to see vision, purpose and passion come together! Food connects communities that are unknown and forgotten! Thank you both for a wonderful start to a Sunday morning. Congratulations and continue bringing joy to people worldwide.
Best video ever. I even showed it to my husband who has never watched a food channel before, and he loved it too. What you have done for Eva's village, as well as what they have done for you, it's the best life has to offer. Bellisimo!
Congratulations!!! Amazing. You are doing great things. I'm looking forward to your summer vids bc I get to hear calabrian folk music in the background and it gives me all the feels. Thank you and keep up the great work you are doing❤
I’m so happy for your success and growing channel. For some reason your videos haven’t been Showing up on my list for a few months. I searched you and to my surprise you now have a restaurant! How awesome is that to share your love of Italy and food together with so many people…and the community of Dasa.
It is absolutely fantastic that you guys have done this! What a great community builder for Dasa. You have and are continuing to make something really special for these people and their town. Hats off!
Congratulations on this new endeavor, I wish you all the best . I think it's great you're helping the locals as well. These little towns are what make Italy so wonderful to visit.
Brillant project and so right for Dasa! I think several small towns and villages around the World need projects like this to make their communities stronger. You've set a very good example.
I arrived to your channel randomly a week ago and am addicted now. But this video was specially heartwarming. Thanks for doing this. Italy and other European countries need to be rediscover, because they are much more than the famous spots. Actually, you just get to know somewhere when you go to the countryside’s. Thanks for strengthening that ❤ Long life to little villages! 🖖🏻
I LOVE THIS! My grandfather is from San Sosti (north of Dasa by about an hour), I am thinking of doing this 2024 and would bring along the spouse and my sister.
I vividly remember the first Pasta Grammar episode we watched right after it started and, being from Maine, thinking "...what did this poor woman get herself into?!?!" and how it's evolved into one of my favorite channels with 2 of my favorite people who I'll finally get to meet in person in a few months. You've done Dasa proud and we can't wait to experience it! I'm also hoping Eva will have forgiven me for the, I think, quite original use of Quale in our Italian class... Quale folle idea non ci fara arrestare...allora eh...
What a wonderful project! You saved a whole town. You've inspired me. I'm praying to be able to reclaim my ancestral home but it will take a miracle. However, this is a great idea to revitalize my beautiful little town in Prov. di Salerno.
I can't believe I could love you two more. I'm from Sinopoli, Reggio Calabria. Dasa is 2.3 km from Acquaro. Used to walk there with my Nonni to their properties. Moved to Canada as a little girl. Never forgot my Roots. Still have tons of family, a hop skip, and a jump from Eva's hometown. We almost speak the same dialect. When Eva's speaks to her Mom, a Mile a minute, I understand every word😅It warms my heart, to see someone who loves Calabria as much as I do. Love from Grazia Rositano, di Sinopoli❤
Congratulation to you both. Best idea you guys ever had. Bring Dasa to the world. Enjoy this next journey with all of us and one day who knows we will join you to enjoy their best authentic recipes. ❤

Americans are being poisoned with the flour they offer us! 👿
The wheat here is killing people and making them stupid. Read Grain Brain. Read Wheat Belly. What wheat do you buy?
Your grains are full of deadly glysophates pesticides and are genetically modified thanks to evil bayer monsanto. Monsanto go and glysophates imported products are banned in the EU
Agree!
All the best,
Bob
I am 80 years old and have had a love affair my whole life with all things Italian. With all the dark events that are going on in our world today your project brought hope and light to my heart. The people of Dasa are a shining example of how life can be if we all make an effort to live in harmony. Can’t wait to take my next Sunday morning video trip to Dasa. Peace
The key is “to make an effort” . But as you mentioned, with all the dark things going on around us, I don’t really see it happening. 😢😢😢
It’s truly a universal story 😊
True. I feel like this is the real success where you make people happy! Very inspired with Harper and Eva 🥰
This video made me cry because you appreciate what my home and my town is all about. I am also Calabrese and Dasà is not too far from where I am from.
Why can't we live with such camaraderie? I'm amazed that that little town is still populated and getting along. HOW WONDERFUL ❤️
Congratulations! It is excellent of you to give back to the community. The world needs more people like you.
There is absolutely nothing like being from the Adriatic country! Italy! Croatia! Greece! Proud! Good for you guys ❤️
Well, Calabria is not exactly Adriatic i have to say.
Keep up the very good job
Federico from Trani, Puglia
A Trani avete ospitato ed accolto come nuova cittadina Italiana, Katie Quinn.
In bocca al lupo,a Voi e a Dasa'. Avete indubbiamente una marcia in più.
this made me tear up. im 48 years old. my grandfather is sicilian, from le cerra friddi. as a kid his cousins would visit usa, bklyn nyc. always tell my grandfather to come back and visit. he couldnt he was sick. so the invite was alwys to my mother, myself and others. i havent been there since i was 11 i think. exactly as you said. the small village, the olive trees, the air, the food. id love to go again one day.
What a beautiful tribute to Dasà, it's community & Eva's family.
It's great that you guys are giving back to the community something they actually desire, while respecting their way of life.
@@MiaK06 Oh, I’m with you there! You and I could engage in conversations while eating everything in sight.
I cried a lot watching this video. It's a wonderful project. Eva is the real treasure of Dasà and Harper the perfect partner
And after all the assumptions and no actual knowledge, you have the nerve
To declare a prediction of woe. Take your negativity elsewhere.
I did too!!!! Amazing
@@J3unGyou did not listen to nothing that he said did you?
@@J3unG who said they will charge that much for a 6 Euro plate of pasta and sauce?
But I imagine that you having both of your parents being Italian, in this case Calabresi, you also feel that you are Italian and not just American. 😊
@@aris1956 Absolutely
👏👏👏😻😻😻😍😍😍❤❤❤💋💋💋
@@frankcirillo4246 By the way, I am also Italian, born in the Campania region , in southern Italy (near to the region of Eva and your parents), and live here in Germany.
My grandfather too was from Calabria. I would love to find his home town.,someday 😊
You cannot imagine how happy this video made me feel. Congratulations for the incredible life project you guys are building. Respect.
This is, by far, my favorite video you guys have ever made! I adore that you have created a space that works uniquely for Dasa! ❤
The town came to help you guys and wound up helping themselves. There seems to be a moral to this story.
Congratulations to you both!!
@gagamba9198 yeah I mean not even any news on local newspapers, this is a one of a kind thing
I love this! Re-vitalizing a small town with your simple idea! Makes my heart warm!
Thats when I found your channel
I love Ava.
What an amazing thing you two have done! Many happy times ahead for you and the town you are helping. This video was very special. Congratulations.
What a cool accomplishment. You two are amazing for giving back to the community this way! Great job!
THIS was by FAR the best video I have ever seen on this channel!!!!! BOTH of you look different. I've never seen Eva look so content and at peace.
Ok New Bucket List item…so awesome that you and Eva are giving back to the community and it appears that with the mill there is more to come!
It warms my Heart to know and See some UA-cam Blogger do this NOT for self gain but to help a community.
To think that Harper’s parents “had a feeling” he should meet Eva (her parents are awesome as well!)… what a great story this has become.
In France ? It will probably take 5 years to get the permits and another 5 years for the construction.
❤🤍💚❤🤍
Harper and Eva.
❤🤍💚❤🤍
You make each episode fun and interesting as well as educational. So a massive thank you to you both! Wonderful progress and deserved success with your Dasa project. Such an amazing thing to do in bringing the community together, doing such joyful events, all built around food, love and community spirit.
❤🤍💚❤🤍
You guys are amazing.
Bravo.
What you guys, and Dasa’ are doing is incredible. LOVE IT! It must be a great feeling having a whole village as family.
Grazie! ❤
This is a beautiful thing to see! I wish the whole world would unite together this way. 🥰
When you said Mama Rosa donated her giant meatball pot...thank you so much for giving this beautiful place a new life and sharing it with us.
We LOVE you all💛🧡❤️♥️
what an incredible episode. i hope the light of romance for living shines bright in you two forever. what a hope filled episode. a real tear jerker. thank you

Bellisimo!
Un posto delizioso, ce la farete!💪👏 Viva la Calabria 🇮🇹
The restaurant is like a cultural and turistic center for Dasà! What a great thing to do for the town!
Congratulations!!! Amazing. You are doing great things. I'm looking forward to your summer vids bc I get to hear calabrian folk music in the background and it gives me all the feels. My family is from Calabria and seeing tradional dishes from my home region makes me so happy 😊 I cook peppers and potatoes every week for my family. I’m so happy for your success and growing channel.
For some reason your videos haven’t been
Showing up on my list for a few months. I searched you and to my surprise you now have a restaurant! How awesome is that to share your love of Italy and food together with so many people…and the community of Dasa.
Quello che state creando è qualcosa di incredibile! Vi auguro il meglio 🌶️
What a fantastic wholesome project. What a beautiful way to experience real Italian culture and food. History oozes from these places.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for that wonderful explanation about the difference you're making in the town and now it's a global thing you're a kind and classy guy
Congratulations, wishes for great future. We absolutely love Eva's recipes and making pasta is so easy and fun with the grandchildren.
That is so wonderful that you can be steward's of the town and help the entire community. Brava lavoro!✌️
We love you guys. God bless you in all you do.
These two are going to end up moving to Italy at some point. I can feel it in my bones.
Dear Harper, thank you I held back tears watching your video. As a Neapolitan living in the US your love for our colture touches me deeply. Thanks to you both for your great content hoping me and my girlfriend will be able at some point to join you in one of this trips
Congratulations, the place looks amazing. A fun, happy , comfortable place ,just feels like home. Can’t wait to see more!❤
This “meeting place”, this “cooking school” is genius!! Everyone gets to engage and enjoy, well, their life and the camaraderie of Dasa. It’s a dream come true, your dream idea that made it possible with some help from your friends!! So cool!
Your hard work and vision became reality
Weldone to you both, bringing a community together and celebrating. I am envious, enjoy yourselves.
