@@nono86753 Man, that's exactly what I was going to say. She looks at him with adoring eyes everytime he speaks as he does to her. They're still relatively new at this, but their relationship can last for a very long time because even though they may be opposite in culture, they are united in love. I personally hope they grow old together.💞

Omg, I LOVED this video! I'm a 72 year old Californian living in the Netherlands who was married to a Greek, so I GET what Harper is saying about the history of Europe. One thing I recommend to both of you (if you don't already know it) .. PLEASE don't try to compare each other's cultures .. just accept the very best of both of them and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy each other. Harper, allow Ms Eva to have her 'Italian fireyness' and Eva, ignore the American attitude of 'we're the LEADER of the FREE world and therefore better than everybody else' and just absorb the best of what America has to offer. I hope that a lot more people read this comment! It's so true, all cultures have good and bad sides about them and comparing them is pointless. Being in a relationship with someone from a different culture can be challenging, it takes honesty and trust and patience, but it can be so enriching. And, after all, it's the person that matters.

I'm 73 years old, I'm from NY. I survived living with my ''off the boat, Italan family...who only spoke Italian......and would not teach me because they wanted me to be AMERICAN. MY RE; Wouldn't that be nice. I watch them constantly ....currently bed ridden. and so what if their marriage was arranged. They both had the freedom to divorce.

I lived a few decades in Maine. The wild blueberry pie is something tourists often overlook while chasing after lobster. It is amazing. That was a very strong move on Harper's part.
I prefer that pie before Any sea creatures
I was once up in Vynalhaven and climbed around the cliffs picking wild blue berries which we made muffins with, yum.

Thank God for blueberry pie. No matter the topic, the two of you are fun to watch. My dad was an Italian/American chef, so I know most of Eva's rules. But he didn't know the rules of pasta, so I had to learn them from Eva. Sorry, daddy.

True love does exist. My husband & I grew together. Since 3rd grade we were friends with the same group of people. He dated my best friend & I dated his younger brother. In our early 20s we both married different people & i moved out of state.
18 yrs later My marriage was over & he'd become a very encouraged member of the wild life. His marriage only lasted a few months & he never remarried.
We reconnected in 2011 while both of us were learning from the kids in our families how to use the internet & Facebook.
We talked all night 🌙.
That was 9 yrs ago.
We'll be Married 8 yrs in February.
He's my best friend, my biggest support in my life & my relief from the stresses of this world. Idk what id do or where id be without him

It’s so amazing how Eva was able to transform Harper’s attitude to cooking pasta and making his own sauce from scratch. What an fantastic job Eva did teaching him, and what a great (albeit initially reluctant) student Harper was and had become. It’s a nice story of how love between to people grows and evolves over time. I love hearing stories like this.
You guys...I love you. 😍 My nephew met his wonderful wife who was visiting/living in NYC. Fell in love, but her work visa was expiring soooo history. They lived here for awhile, she is a self taught chef. Eventually my neph Nick moved back to Italy w Alma and he farms when he can. Not a finanvially easy task. They have 2 gorgeous kids and i miss them so much. Greetings from NYC u two.

Eva doesn’t really eat much at breakfast because she’s Italian, and it’s true! In Italy breakfast isn’t really important, but i couldn’t live without it!

There are two breakfasts in Italy.
In Germany, the first breakfast is a richer one, and later you would have a Knoppers.
In Italy it is the other way around. First the Knoppers ( well, Hanuta in Italy ;) ) and later something richer.
I’m italian and to he honest never heard of any of that stuff 😂
For a long time I haven't been a breakfast fan myself, though I recently started to have it, but really guys, what about caffelatte e biscotti, latte e cereali or cappuccino e brioche? 😂 the former for when you're at home, the latter for when you're at the bar. I thought everyone had these.
We also have our special biscotti da inzuppo, which apparently are not a thing outside of Italy (cookies and biscuits in other places are not meant to be dipped in milk, therefore they're usually richer and do not "absorb")

My husband and also had to make a decision and I also tried to give him up and I was MISERABLE for about a week but I still saw him every day and he would show up at my house at 2am because he missed me so anyway we've been married 21 years now and going strong. Harper, as a father to three 20-somethings, I can tell you that your parents knew what they were doing the moment they met Eva. Every boyfriend or girlfriend that is brought to our house is quickly sized up for genetics and potential offspring...that's just how we parents are.

Harper, your great uncle Bill married Helen (Italian) and, although he did not speak much Italian, he understood it well. He and mom (Helen) communicated in Italian when they didn't want us kids to understand what they were talking about. They shared a true love story. May you both have the same...always.

Ah, Eva's a teacher... that explains so much. And newlyweds! With all the bad news about COVID, this actually worked in their favor! Changing a visitor visa to a fiance visa is usually really difficult because the government doesn't like that, but given the circumstances... Getting a green card actually shouldn't take too long if everything goes ok, so just hang in there.
Thats true. Getting a K1 or K3 visa is taking forever to get. I got my K1 visa in 7 months and a friend of my wife that married a foreigner outside the country had to apply for a K3 visa which took over a year.
The end was epic, you two are just adorable! 🤗
