I have Vespa T5. This retro Vespa is much better than the modern Vespa. I know we can't bring it back to production. Instead, we can find the abandoned one and restore it.

Leather Jacket ... which was the way to go at the time....ill advised now I guess..!
It was Quick but Revvy ...the Clocks
Where the Best I have seen on any Scooter anywhere ...and it had a Rev Counter ! ...
I took and failed my Part 2 on it , Found love and Sold it on to pay for a 3 piece suite,, circa 94...cried as it ridden away..
The Guy went and " Chopped " it ...what a Sin...it was as new when sold .

Among other models I own 2 T5s...just lovely scooter, currently one for sale in descent condition.
T5 and px are almost same except the head set design and huge instrument panel on t5 . I prefer px . But a t5 is also cool looking . New vespas can be 4 stroke using a lml type 4 stroke motor if 2 stroke engine is an issue
I only have just started exploring the world of scootering. To me it is an odd but vibrant community but perhaps too wedded to the late 60s. Modern scootering (I don't mean your commuters or maxi's) if it were bikes would see a handful of very proficient and technically innovative companies producing parts for early 1970s BSA's with the occasional Triumph model thrown in. There is a gap for a full cream modern retro scooter. The Royal Alloys and new Lambrettas have woeful horsepower. And I think a T5 redux with some of the 80's essence rev'ed up and clunkiness dialled out would sell I think. For me I want something at the other end. I want a long wheel base classic Vespa with the 400cc Beverly engine for the occasional motorway jaunt and B road assault. Perhaps with some clever packaging to increase onboard storage or at least facilitate it.

The tooling is all there to do a four stroke px all they need to do is say deal with lml and refine the engine they built I had the 200 4t for a while once u put a vacuum pump on it was a fantastic scooter also needed a bigger fuel tank

Back in the day had both a p2oo. And t5.. bring back both and wack an 500 in ..
Ask KTM to borrow their fuel injection 2t technology. Had a white square square tail way back fitted with a ported Malossi 166 big bore, 28mm carb and Mikeck exhaust.Blew it up on the A66 heading to Great Yarmouth 😃. Twist and go 4t just isn't a proper scooter, Sorry, guys 😐
The Honda Spacy should also make a return, its the DeLorean of scooters.

I agree definitely. The T5 was way ahead for it's time regarding style and engine.
I would prefer a 250 ccm two stroke injection cylinder with a reinforced engine carter
or a rotary wankel engine running on e-fuel.
But please no automatic transmission... I'm sick of that...

Give the modern Primavera and Sprint 125/150 an iGet 200cc motor
I think both models should be re-released. The older classic models, although good, are out of reach to most due to the prices. Some are priced reasonably but some are over priced and newer models would be both more competitively priced and reliable for modern day traffic. 😀👍

Piaggio did bring back the T5, it was called the T5 classic. the engine came from the T5 and the body was from the PX range. Piaggio can't bring it back now because of EU laws, and Piaggio stated it 'lost' the tooling to make engine components and bodywork. it's just all auto's now.....
A real scooter. You could carry a spare wheel, change wheels and even simply repair a puncture. All modern scooters are the same, breakdown and you experience a long wait for a breakdown truck and then recovery. No good for serious touring unlike the T5 and earlier

I rode a PX 200 for 3 years and it was cheap to maintain , but a horrible bike. Cornering, brakes, suspension, speedo, seat...you name it. I changed after to Aprilia Sport City 300 and it was like day and night. I do not know how I could endure so much time with the PX and even still being alive. Bringing it back means it has to deal with the 350´s nowadays...so...good luck Piaggio.
Anything that's lighter for us smaller girlies, has got to be good 😉

I have t5 I’m in America New York area I took a part it my favorite Vespa ever I grow up with vespas if any one want buy it rare. Bike and make a project let me contact me I have picture it red I did lot of work the motor need work it 5 port was made for the English market I send you pic if any one interesting thank guys you guys are awesome I would say yes bring back Piaggio Dear fallow .. my Italian friends ..
