As an independent film maker and videographer I can confirm.... to put in perspective it takes a minimum of 10 days of filming for a 45 minute film. Usual film scenes take up to 4 takes with MUCH less risk of failure. Editing for a film is usually equivalent to 1 hour per 10 minutes of film on a time crunch. That makes it a solid minimum of 10-11 hours of real time editing not including rendering. Then add dialogue story and the fact that this is basically a full length animated film... my guesstimate is between 130-170 hours of work give or take 5 for reshoots.
@@AgeFuture Taking your calculations of the time this must have taken minimally, that equals six thousand minutes or a hundred hours at least, and as you already said, this doesn't even take the rendering time into account. Wow, just amazing that you have got this done all by yourself. It is a masterpiece and you deserve to be just as famous as any big director.
I just realized that his sub-series life on layth actually makes lol
Well now it does, doesn't it?
Why is it always jeb going through the harsh stuf. Im crying for him
Good question
@@alwinstock8795 cuz Jeb is best character in main team
Poor Jeb anyways.
Jeb was presumable chilling while Val did here super spy stuff on the Duna ship and base
Jeb and Val... Always going through hell and back... Imma give em a long roadtrip in my save.
When Jeb left to Eve and the others went the other way I was so sad that I actually cried!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😱😱😱😱
Nigga this is Kerbal space program
Whay so mean though?

Christ, stop complaining, let a man/woman be emotional for once.
Ha
That's SO cool, definitely earned a new sub
You are a magician 🤯easily one of my favorite movies story wise
19:10 its like the opening scene in spaceballs when the ship just keeps coming.
I can't imagine how much time it took you, you have my eternal respect
I know this took a lot of time and effort. I'm sorry it didn't get more attention as it should have! It is a great piece!
Man every time I watch one of Matt's movies i get that feeling when you finish reading a really good book. Has the same amount of lore as well. I aspire to make something almost as good as this (because we all know no-one could make anything better).
Now that KSP2 is out, I think it's time for Green Harvest: Blood Moon
0:31 rip columbia

Colombia was a Space Shuttle, this was the Argus. Not a space shuttle

This is amazing! All the way around fantastic job man! The skill it take to do this is insane, I finally got to the Mun and back after 4 days of playing lol
Phantom also starred in Duna Attacks.
So did fury
I LOVED IT, and I'm so glad you didn't end it on a cliff hanger
craft file for the electric vehicle that valentina uses
Matt, this is the best KSP movie i Ever see !
I love ksp and I love movies like this
I've been waiting for the movie version of all the episodes and having just finished watching it, you, Mr. Matt Lowne, good sir, are a bloody genius; designing ships/stations, playing the game, story telling and camera work/cinematography.
This made my top 3 movies of 2018, sorry but Avengers 3 and Venom beat you :P Although you beat Deadpool 2 so well done you lol
Thank you for creating such awesome content for the rest of us to watch and enjoy.
This is the only movie I like
MY GOT IS THAT WAS AMAZING THANK YOU SO MUCH
When the pilot says “huh that’s weird”.
The dead dogs rises up!
As a pilot I can confirm but I like to do that if someone is near the cockpit and see there face xD
HKA film productions nice I’d love to prank one of my friends that way lol
TEAM Er it’s not hard to become a pilot a Little expensive but I’d recommend it you are just free and it’s just beautiful and if your the captain you got the command to do anything which I wouldn’t recommend as if I recall correctly (im not a captain I’m a first officer :( ) it should be reasonable
HKA film productions alright thanks!
Hello, me from 2021, this is at least 75 times better than the movies they make these days, I hope you make some ksp2 movies when it comes out
I just woke up at 3am
I'm not going to fall asleep again
I never want to see the end
Of these amazing Kerbals again

This movie deserves credit...That last scene neatly summed up the ability of Kerbals to revert the time if there was a failed launch (in the KSP game)...An awesome movie...Great work Matt
I have an idea for the next movie:
The darbel remnants, the group of colonists who fled to an unknown location have been secretly building a grandiose interestellar empire, and after discovering about their homeworld’s defeat, they launch an invasion to exterminate kerbals and (Duna’s unnamed race) alike, then break their fellow darbels out of Eve.
