  • Taking a look at the FN Reflex, a fairly new pistol release from FN. Another entry into the micro 9mm marketplace with what I believe is accuracy issues and or quality control issues.
All shooting is conducted on private property on a closed range.
All firearms and accessories are purchased and owned legally in the state in which I live.
Please shoot responsibly and practice proper firearm safety.

Mine is very accurate. Had a few failure to feeds with the first couple boxes of ammo, but disassembled and cleaned and lubricated well and have not had that since. Break-in periods Are REAL folks, don’t judge a fire arm too soon. I find this pistol very accurate, very tight on the rails and just needed a short well lubricated break-in period. Good job FN!

I'm glad it worked out for you, but not every single one that rolls off the assembly line is perfect. I've owned close to 100 pistols and this was by far one of the worst shooting pistols I have owned. Thanks for checking out the video.... glad you have one you like.

I just watched your video. I also have a FN Reflex, and the sights mine had were definatly bad. The front sight is #8 height and the rear is too low at #6. I replaced the rear with a Sig pattern, Trijicon DI night sight set. Fixed the problem completely. The rear sight the factory installed was 0.261" which is #6 height. The rear sight I replaced it with was 0.306" or #8 height. My trigger drastically improved around 600 rounds, and now at 2400 rounds its fantastic. The FN factory QC process is to fire 5 rounds of 124gr American Eagle Ball ammo inside a 3" circle at 50 feet. My pistol after changing the sights, will do much better with just about any ammo through it now. I went round and round with FN customer service, and finally got them to walk me through the process. Mine will hold 3" out to about 30 yards with 124gr loads, and about 4" with 115gr Win silver tips. The velocity however becomes an issue beyond about 50 feet, after which I don't believe there is enough velocity to fully expand a defensive JHP load. Hope that helps you some, its fantastic once you take the time to get the sights right. I go into a bit of detail on Reddit if you are really board, and I also went into detail on my video. I hope you stick with it and try swapping the sights before you let it go.

Well... I believe FN should fess up and just tell people they fudged this up. Then offer to fix it. Their email from customer service stated to me that the accuracy requirement was 21' with 5 rounds being within a 4" circle. So 5 shots at 7 yards within a 4" circle.... which in my opinion is not accurate. They also told me that the Reflex required a "combat hold"...... The FN is already left my collection and I will not be buying another FN product anytime soon. Thanks for the information and thanks for taking the time to check it out and stop by.

What you said about the front sight was on point and probably exactly why it's shooting low. I agree. In all truth though, the majority of handguns that have side to side knock in front sights have the exact same "gap" between the frame and the bottom of the sight. My XD mod 2 and SIG p365 have the exact same gap. Though my Glocks (MANY) and my CZ's (NOT ENOUGH LOL) Either screw in til flush iwth the frame or get knocked in from the direct front and center of the frame. Sorry you have an issue with your gun sir. Thank You for the video and all the work.

I just got one today and my first 10 rounds I hit a 2 inch bullseye at 25 ft 7 out of the 10 rounds. So I’m happy to report the one I got seems to be dead on. I got the black one without the optics cut. With a discount from the local gun shop it was 477.00
Shot 115 and 124 gr with no failures at all. Definitely got a good one here. I was holding dead center on the dot .

My gunshop showed me the FN Reflex and I havw to admit I was impressed with everything. The one thing I didnt do was shoot it, the second was purchase it right there and then, and now I'm glad I didn't make that purchase. For now, I'm happy with what i have. They shoot and hit on target every time. This is the 5th video I've watched and all have the same results, including responses from FN. Sad situation. They know there is a problem by now. Figure it out and fix it, or take it off the market.

I bought one around 3-4 weeks ago. I’ve had one feeding failure in 400-500 rounds. It is a tac driver, but the front site must be held on the target / point of impact. Best shooting compact / Micro pistol I’ve ever shot. The only thing that worry’s me is the light trigger pull on a gun with no external safeties. This video was made 6 months ago. It could be some of the first shipments had problems. I don’t know.

I've had 3 Reflexes (Long story) and all of them had problems. I bought it to replace my G43. I love the FN grip, I love the sights, and the trigger is pretty good from the factory. All of them had failure to feed problems. One would have a soft strike about every 3rd round. We tried 5 different types of ammo and 9 different magazines. We put about 200 rounds through each gun. All of them would shoot low left no matter who was shooting it. I put Holosun 507k red dots on 2 of them and I had the elevation up maxed out and it still wouldn't bring the POI up to POA. I put a laser bore sight cartridge in them and it would not line up with the iron sights. It showed low left on all of them. The same laser bore sight lined up perfectly in all of my other handguns. I sold 2 of them and the 3rd one has been at FN since September for repair, in hopes that I can at least have one good one. That was 3 months ago and it's still not fixed.

FN sent mine back in less than 2 weeks.... something like 10days to 2 weeks.... very short turn around. No email... no letter, no nothing. Just a target with a nice group on it. Guy in an email said it was shot from 21' (7yds) with 124grn american eagle. I told him it still shot low. he said I just needed to get used to the trigger. I ended up selling the firearm to someone that wanted it more than I did. One of the worst performing handguns I have purchased to date. If you want a small handgun check out the Masada Slim. Great guns.... 100% reliable and just tack drivers... optic ready.... 13 plus 1. and can be had for less than 450. Thanks for checking out the channel. Something here for everyone.

well, with a red dot vs. irons.... of course it's going to shoot fine with a dot..... the dot is zeroed to the weapon..... if the weapon comes from the factory with jacked up sights then a red dot would fix it. The pistol I reviewed was not optic ready..... but the one I reviewed shot great groups.... just consistently shot low.... and I'm not the first person to experience this. What’s crazy is I absolutely agree that the factory sights are off, so I went with a holosun red dot to fix the problem with shooting low left. I had to max out the red dot up and right to try and get it on a plate at 20 yds. Not only are the sights junk I think something internally is not right.. possibly the recoil spring is too light? I’m about to put this one on the trading block 😡

I've seen your videos and only see that it has a problem with one type of ammo, you haven't shown your targets for us to see the problem with where it's shooting? I've had two Glocks that had problems both Gen 4's one a 19 other other was a 26 , the 19 would spit brass in your face every other round, they had to replace the extractor to fix that, but the 26 the extractor would hang up when fired and you had to hit the extractor on the slide because it was stuck out to the side and wouldn't eject the rounds. I sent it back to Glock and they had to replace the whole slide. My point here is some have problems with handgun brands where as others don't! Me I have no problems with the Reflex. Send it back to FN is my suggestion here!

Grip Angle... Same 18deg angle as the 1911 type handguns... Best angle for the human hand 👍😎🇺🇸
Issue with shooting low... Same as many others, the real issue is that many are having is that you are torqueing down your wrist as you pull the trigger with this Small handgun... Knowing this issue and correcting it will get better with practice 👍😎🇺🇸
After watching entire video I came back...
I watched you shooting this handgun and looked at the three different group shots....
You Are limp-wristing... Also You are Not having the same grip with each shot...
After each shot I notice that your trigger finger completely moves away from the trigger to then mounts back onto the trigger, bad habit...
Try this,as you fire a shot... Slowly release tention to allow the trigger to reset but keeping your finger in contact barely pass the reset... Doing so will help in keeping the same grip with repeated shots... Practice - Practice - Practice... Good Luck 👍😎🇺🇸

      Good Luck my friend 👍😎🇺🇸
I have owned many guns over the years but never this Reflex... I am concidering in getting one which will be my first 9mm handgun,I plan to use it as a fun range gun 👍.
All my handguns that I ever owned were 40cal...10mm... 45acp striker & hammer handguns and even .357 mag & 44mag revolvers... I do own a FN 502 as a fun range gun as well ... I spent over 12yrs in the military with most of that in Group,I have operated and well familiar with many types of weapons and enjoyed most of them.
The issue I mentioned in the Reflex was when I watched someone who first used it and he was continously shooting low with it... He shoots all his handguns from 150ft with plenty of easy accuracy but that reflex he was dumbfounded... After some research he realised that he was torqueing his hand downward with this small gun and weird trigger... The next day and shooting 1000rds in two hours (common for him) he had corrected his mistake and was back at his usual self in hitting the targets with the Reflex... Again best of luck to you and may all your adventures be fun 👍😎🇺🇸
