Amazing $15 New Orleans Buffet with The Best Fried Chicken in town!

- After some inspiration from Bill And Lisa @billandlisa on their travels to New Orleans and their infamous purple drink, we just couldn't resist and managed to make a weekend trip out to NOLA. And after arriving and touring the french quarter, we decided to take a break from all the beverages and souvenir shopping and headed out to dinner at a local Cajun / Creole Buffet!
This is the Louisiana Purchase Kitchen and I've heard they've got the best fried chicken and southern fried fish in town! And at $15 on weekends and $13 on weekdays, this is an incredible deal. Although the Uber ride was substantially more than the cost of our meals combined.
Great atmosphere, great people, and of course, great comforting southern food and a dash of southern hospitality. You certainly won't leave hungry!

we had a old country buffet most closed we have a chinese cheap and other one closed due to construction of buildings apts now constuction yes i saw a enns video also

As a native of New Orleans, you need four seasons of clothing because the weather here is unpredictable. I'm glad you didn't go to Melba's because their food is horrible.

Having lived here my entire life which is longer than I can take there are only TWO seasons in New Orleans
@@AlmostReady504 Yeah, like here in South Florida, there's two seasons also. Hot, humid and you want to die - and not as hot and thankfully not humid anymore so you can live (which lasts 3 months if we're lucky).

Tim. Another culinary delightful buffet. Chocolate pie looked Great. Gumbo tasty looking. Shrimp Creole had my mouth watering. Real comfort food. I ate very well in NO. New Orleans is a favorite place of mine having worked out of there for a time. 👍 Best

@@TimLeeLetsGo I watch several traveling food channels. Very few are as upbeat and informative. I like that you talk about the history of the restaurant and speak with the staff on a personal and professional level (something very few vloggers if any do). When I watch others complain about food, I find myself asking… didn’t you ask the staff for a recommendation? I know they never do which is a shame. Not everything at a restaurant will be amazing but at least give it an opportunity to shine… which I feel you do! 👍

a big change from the Bali buffets but still looking delicious and a bargain to boot.. would love to have access to this buffet it is a bit closer then all the beautiful Bali ones only 564 miles away apparently I could walk there in 204 hours...that's probably an ambitious time mark for me since one and a half miles to the doctor office kills my old legs for the one and a half back home again I'll wait till I can travel by some form of transportation that doesn't involve walking 😁...also now I want chocolate pie

It was wonderful, hospitality, and just tasty comfort food. That fried chicken alone would’ve been worth every penny.
Gotta say I’ve seen those little less cheap fares and personally don’t use them but hey if you want an adventure go for it!

Thank you so much! We had a bit of sticker shock from the prices of the restaurants at the French Quarter and unfortunately, a few of the places weren’t to our liking. It’s nice to go out and find a nice place, even though the travel was quite expensive.😉

I live ten minutes from this place. It is located in unincorporated Jefferson Parish next to Aldi, a bunch of strip malls and is not far from the airport. It often has tour busses parked outside. I can't speak to the quality of the food because I have never eaten there, but I can't understand why you would pay more for an Uber to dine at a cafeteria style buffet so far from downtown when there are SO many other absolutely wonderful choices in New Orleans. You could have eaten at Commander's Palace instead of paying a fortune to take an Uber to Kenner.
That is some of the best food I have ever seen. I wish I could taste it.

They certainly made us feel like Home there. Very nice people not only from the servers in the house but from the fellow diners as well.

Tim: all said & done that was a super buffet experience based on the selection of dishes, the $13-15 price in February 2024, the tasty, savory food & quite unusual to see a Cajun/Creole food -based buffet! On Bourbon Street, a small jambalaya is $20 alone. So, you split the $40 Uber😊
I know! We spent quite a lot on food on Bourbon Street as we were staying near the French Quarter, and it wasn’t nearly as good. All in all, we did mention that given the cost of the Uber ride, it was still worth it compared to some of the places in the French Quarter.

Really impressed with the service and especially the fried chicken! We were staying around the French quarter area and noticed the food wasn’t that great but quite expensive too
