It's louder because you're hearing the noise inside the engine due to an aggressive/more aggressive cam than stock. Exhaust noise is literally what's happening inside your engine. Science

i come from west texas, we always having e85 pump problems, and times where its a drought and we wont have any for a month or 2. and its 2.79 out here 💔

I recommend doing it yourself. It’s a good learning experience and it’s saves u a ton of time and money. You can change the cams and set tdc etc. in less than 2 hours and that’s being really generous.
@@ethan5977 I’ve installed headers before but never cams.. is it really that easy??
@@mannyomega713 it’s pretty easy, you need to know how to load the chain tensioner which is just push in and twist until it loads the spring. Hold the chain with something so it doesn’t give u a headache falling into the motor. I’m sure there’s a video of someone installing or someone u can contact for help but it’s easy for the most part.

@@ImgCrisp coyotes have vct ( variable cam timing ) so they won't chop unless you get rid of the vct and lock the phasers but will lose some performance from it and drives like shit
@@ionize420 damn so those “ghost tunes” are bad?
@@Onthrs not necessarily. The ghost cam tune only locks the phasers to chop when at idle. Once you start driving it goes back to driving normal. I drove with it for about 6 months with no issue.

Not needed. With variable cam timing on 4 cams, you get the best of both worlds. Better torque and hp. That’s why the in-block engines need a different cam if they want a lot more hp, but there’s usually a sacrifice in torque and powerband. Everything will be made upstairs. The chop from a sexy LS/LT aftermarket cammed motor is due to the difference in overlap from the stock cam. With a 4 cam motor, overlap is varied through the powerband on the cams. Once the C8 presents the up level motors with the DOHC setup, will be the same.
