@PILOTCLIMB, when you're turning inbound the VOR on the second leg where you have the course of 190, can't we say that's the radial 010 INBOUND? Because you're northeast of the VOR. So radial is 010 and the course is 190 because you are flying inbound of course. Thanks
Hi captain, correct me if i m wrong but i would start turning left to intercept 190radial at 3600ft during initial climb on 053 course. In my opinion 10dme is mentioned as last point to start the turn. (Min3600ft must be reached max at 10dme)
Hey, many thanks for watching! You should fly to the 10nm point and be 3600 or above, the problem if you turn before it will be very hard to intercept the radial 190 inbound. I hope I answered your question
Can you explain what is mean by “on which sector the aircraft is”? When you mentioned a question you might get in airline interview. Are we talking about the sectors for hold? Direct ,parallels, coffers? I don’t get it
Thank you for this great explanation video!! Very helpful for my next sim lesson! One question: how did you calculate the 016 before going left to 166? Ah sorry its an offset..
Hi there. Been watching a lot of your videos, really helpful. I am trying to change the MFD/ND display on the 737 on x plane to show the VOR compass rose, as you have in this video. When I use the glareshield panel and switch from MAP or PLAN to VOR, it does not switch to the circular compass rose. Any tips?
I think the SID doesn’t say turning at 10nm but latest. The moment to turn is given by the altitude not by the distance. So if we turn only at 10nm we violate the procedure
Many thanks your comment! You should fly to the 10nm point and be 3600 or above, the problem is that if you turn before the 10nmpoint it will be very hard to intercept the radial 190 inbound, thus you will overshoot the radial inbound. I wish you a great day!
hello capitane... bon laburo propio cussi... captain i have a litter curiosy on the final approach ... after a glade slop an the D5.8 i see ta perfil chart shu be on 1300' when you disconect auto pilot and gue it to that poin 1300' h you enter on 1500' almost 200' h ... no problemj riht? o know you take less n1 or trust power becouse you are a bravo capitane? bravo!!!!😊🤭😏
HI captain i understood everything however could you quickly explain how did you get the heading of 016 degrees after you came over head BTA VOR? thanks in advance
I'm glad you undestood the concepts of the video. The heading 016 was required to perform the tear drop entry. Watch the video I made regarding holding entries to see the reason why: ua-cam.com/video/ZxNA5iqdOjg/v-deo.html
Hello Pilot. Great video! One question; if the platform at VOR is 5200', does it mean we need to have exactly 5200 feet above it or minimum of 5200 feet? Greetings!
On my X-plane 11 Zibo B737-800 if you miss the approach the A/C will automatically fly to the hold without doing any settings. In the real B737 is this also the case??? Thanks!
This video is terrible because you are having a station passage over the station however if you want to show a radial intercept then you need to be on or out from the station and simulate a radar vector to intercept a radial ! I actually got confused since i studied radial intercept based on my instrument ifr book which is different . You are talking to beginners who wants to fly the 737 and there for you need to simulate in comparison with the ifr study for CPL holders not for a sim pilots or real 737 pilots

Un’ora di video ma mi sembrano passati 10 minuti, grande! Super informativo
Mi fa piacere leggere che ti sia piaciuto il video! Grazie
A great video and very well explained. Now I got my head around VOR’s! 👍👍👍
That's awesome!! Many thanks for watching and the kind comment.
@PILOTCLIMB Excellent video thank you so much. Have you any videos on position fixing using QDM/QDRs?

Check the video 'simulator preparation" on my channel, I explain the concept there. Have a great day

Excellent Video!!!! Very well explained throughout. Felt like I was on the flight deck soaking it in!
Glad to read this!! Thanks for your support!
Good...but most of us know how to fly to/from VOR...show how to program the box when ATC gives you vector to a certain radial...
I'll take your suggestion into consideration for a future content
That is what I actually said in my comment I am glad someone has the same Thinking
Excellent!! As always .
I'm glad you like it!! Thanks for watching
What simulator you use?
Bravo, complimenti, molto preciso con le tempistiche. Grazie per la lezione gratuita
Un piacere!!

Ciao Jose!! Many thanks for your great comment!! That altitude is 1300 feet or above... So no problem to Cross it at 1500 as long as you are stable
Fantastic!
What a great video and explanation, thanks a lot for this great video!

Makes more sense now. Also why do we fly HDG up and not TRK up
I'm glad to see that the video helped you!!
@@PILOTCLIMB I done this on my 737 cockpit i have. My FMS on the ND showed a direct entry from BTA would that be allowed for the base turn?
Very informative video as always. Making a video about approach charts sounds like a very good idea!
Hey, I'm glad you liked the video. Check this video I made regarding approach charts: ua-cam.com/video/4_h-Nh_iJDQ/v-deo.html
