You are AN INCREDIBLE TEACHER, SO MUCH BETTER THAN MOST, EXPLAINING ALL, MAKING IT CLEAR WHICH STRING YOU'RE ON, recording it well for our eyes; I THANK YOU!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hey man, thanks. I was able to follow this lesson so easily and I don't even have my guitar with me at the moment. Can't wait to try these exercises tomorrow! Your video is ten years old and still relevant 👍🎸😊
I've been sort of half-assed finger picking for years. I can do patterns and sort of do melodies, but I have no thumb independence. These are GREAT exercises. Thanks so much!!
Watch TV while you alternate just your thumb no chord. After 3-5 days you'll be trying to think about how to stop it when you need to or your money back.
This gent knows how to teach and play. Start a site, im sure students will pay $$$ for lessons like this. I would gladly pay for an in depth VERY slow approach to the entire song at the beginning. Thanks for sharing!
Steller video bro, It is just what I needed. Ive been playing guitar for 20 years and am taking on the delta blues and this will be very useful to my quest! woop woop!
A tip of the hat to you, Watcher...thanks for a really excellent and very helpful video - great techniques, broken down into simple, logical, progressive steps. Been playing a long time, and there's a lot I can learn and grow on from this. Mille mercis!
I seen a lot of fingerpicking videos out there and I gotta say yours taught me a lot and the exercises are the best I've seen yet thank you for taking your time to show people how to play God bless
i like how he actualy slowed it down an presented it in pieces...i figured out 2 styles on my own from scratch..but it sure dont hurt to add another..i find most videos they go way too fast for some one just learning it like me.thanx alot
This is a fantastic piece of teaching for me. I never knew how to set up a nice picking pattern that also makes its own rythm. I need to really practice this every day and get it right. Thank you for this!
I'm mediocre at fingerstyle and alternate thumb base plucking, and in all the tutorials I've come across none have covered this fingerpicking practice, it's very useful an a little tricky at first. So thank you for posting. Btw, I'm a terrible strummer an I really need to move up the neck as I'm boring everyone with same ole chords lol
well i started practicing on this my acoustic practiced for about 15 minutes then about an hour and a half later i find myself going insane on my electric guitar improving solos lol i get so sidetracked
damn that guitar neck looks like fatlighter of course i would almost hurt someone if they lit it and it aint even mine anyways that is one of the most beautiful fretboard wood i have ever seen
Absolutely the best I've seen on U tube. Thanks for this great lesson. Terry.
One of the best finger picking lessons that I've seen. Thanks!!

wow you make that look easy, and it sure sounds awesome!!!
I'm going to practice this. I have problems with my brain when it comes to using my thumb base line and my other fingers going solo notes
Mike Porter yo are not alone my friend. It's so sweet I can't give up though.
Ditto my friend
I am finding it challenging as well, but it can be done! keep it up !
the problems begin when you add to those patterns slides, hammer-on, pull-off or mini bending while you change note on high strings...
These are awesome exercises! Thank you
This a great lesson. Thank you!
Excellent advice, gonna give it a shot. Thank you.
