Superbly covered guys! As you know we too love this area! We actually camped on that site many moons ago! Can’t believe we only just discovered the stone circle the last time we were there, what a hidden gem! Gorgeous views! Great video guys! UA-cam Keswick running theme this week 👍😂 have a great week ❤️
Thanks guys! If you end up going to the same place as us next week I will start getting paranoid! 😂😂😂 The stone circle is amazing - David went on the Mountain Goat your last week and it stopped there so he has learnt so much more now too! The tour is highly recommended by the way! He loved it! See you next weekend 😜😜😜 Rachel & David
Hi Leisure bit Thankyou for your Lake District videos, we are planning on visiting this area in June with our dogs and motorhome so your info including Roxy is just right for us.
We love the lakes - so many places to visit and the scenery is breathtaking in parts. It’s always useful to know where you can take a dog, the walks & facilities 💕 Rachel & David
Lovely to have a look round the farm. 8 months we were pretty much next door and we never went for a nosey 😂 Was a brilliant night in the bar with you three 🥰 This video made me miss keswick! Hopefully we can catch up again 😊💜xx
Ah but it was on your doorstep & you were busy 😂 Pringles will never be the same again. Or Luke warm out of date fosters - delicious! I bet your next place will be just as epic ❤❤❤
Thank you - it’s a nice site and great it’s open all year too - always expect some rain in the Lakes don’t you 🌧️ Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to comment - appreciated All the best, David & Rachel 👍
I love the way that you do a video with tons of info for everyone in it. Have driven through Keswick many times but never stopped. Next time will definitely visit Booths! Xx
If ever there was a shop designed for you then Booths is it! 😂 it might be just me but it seems really posh and has things in that you can’t get any where else - it’s dangerous to venture in as you always come back out with a bag full of things you never knew you needed or wanted! Love it 💕💕 Rachel & David 💕💕
Hi David and Rachel another lovely video definitely need to go up to the Lake District again it’s been some years now and have only seen Windermere Ambleside and hawkshead so loads more to explore! It looks a place you can do as little or much as you want and that scenery is stunning! So glad to see you all had a wonderful time and looks like Roxy did as well
Thank you Daniel Little Roxy always has a good time! The Lake District is simply stunning and you are right you can do as much or as little at you want. I think you need a return visit Rachel & David
Stunning views from the site And it looks really lovely. Can’t believe how much sites have gone up in price generally (especially out of main season). Love a good chocolate shop 😉Keswick looks gorgeous. Lots to see and do. Hope we get to visit it one day. Have heard of Booths. Sounds like the Harrods of the food world. Like the way you both did different things. Nice walk with Roxy. Stone circle was quite impressive. You definitely earned that coffee and cake. Nice meeting up with UA-camrs 😉. I want to visit that vegan/veggie hotel 🤣. What a really nice place to visit.
Thank you - Keswick is always quite pricy - I do like how the site is open all year too and the 360 views are lovely when the weather is kind - Booths is great all be it you can spend a fortune! Lots of places to explore - we’re back in Keswick all be it at another site in a couple of weeks from last week 🤔😀 All the best, David & Rachel ❤️
Hiya David Rachel and Roxy another great vlog especially in our part of the world It was totally different on Monday 13 November roads flooded water pouring off the fells massive water falls on Dunmail Raise flooding at Thirlmere to Ambelside we went to Hayes garden center but didn't stay long in case we couldn't get back home Keep up the good work Malcolm and Sheila from a Sunny Workington on Tuesday the 14th
Hi Malcolm & Sheila we were actually near Wigton last Wednesday. We went to visit my dad (Rachel) and we went to the White Heather & Kirkbride Airport. I love that place! You did right not staying at the garden centre mind. The flooding has been horrendous! Take care Rachel & David
The Lakes are one of our favorite places David & Rachel. We stayed at Castlerigg Hall on the other side of the road a few years ago and had a fab time. By the way, the pitches looked a bit close to each other, we’d prefer a little more space. Looks like you’re having a good time touring Cumbria. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Thank you - the lakes is great isn’t it. We stayed at Castlerigg Hall last year and it was nice. Thanks very much for the comment - really appreciated. All the very best, David & Rachel 👍
Thanks guys. Great vlog. It's worth mentioning that, if you want to go from the site to the stone circle, you can't get a MH or camper from Nest Brow along Castle Lane (the most direct route from the South)( I saw someone try to do this!!!!) You'll have to go down into Keswick and then back up again on Eleventrees. However, once you're there, there's free parking alongside the road with enough room for a MH. Funny but it rained when I was there. Oh yeah - it's the Lake District! 😂
We once went to the lakes and it didn’t rain! Honestly. Just once mind 😂😂 No way did a MH try and go down that road??!! Imagine that! You would need to reverse all the way back wouldn’t you? Great tip re the stone circle! Glad we aren’t in the lakes today with this awful weather
Nice looking site and facilities. I'm sure that we went to that chocolate shop as it looked familiar and its a few years since we went to Keswick. Nice boat trip to and a busy bee Rachel with the bus trip too but shows how easy you can get about. Lake district and views are just great. Looks as if you had a bit of rain but you made the best of it.
Thanks Tim - yes the chocolate shop is famous and has been there for all the time I can remember - always nice to have a look isn’t it 😀 The bus service is very handy and at the moment with the capped single fares is great! Yes we got some rain but as you say made the most of it as you have too - it almost always rains in the Lakes doesn’t it but that’s why it’s so green I guess 😀 All the very best, David & Rachel 👍
I’m getting the hang of the bus now Tim. I go on google maps and select public transport and it tells me where and when to get the bus - and even when to get off! Even I can’t go wrong 😂😂 which is a miracle! I love the Lake District. ❤ Did you see Chatsworth Christmas lights? I really want to go but no availability on site 😢
@@Rachel-il5pr we did look at going but Rachel's not going to make the walk there and back and the gardens too so looking at options at the moment. Lakes are wonderful for sure. Hopefully we can catch up again soon 🤞
So who wanted a quite afternoon and suggested splitting up😂😂 Rachel that walk around Keswick was like me being back at work, think I have just about visited every commercial property there and you missed King Kong🦍😂. David great walk, love Bass, our daughter used to sail there. I know it was your BIG birthday week but site was still a little pricey out of season low to mid 20s would be nearer the mark but looked a good site, not sure I would want to be there in school holidays. Cheers K.
Ah I saw Kong a few times but every time I walked past him there were tourists hanging off him taking photos so I gave him a swerve - this time 😂😂😂 We liked the site & the views - and trust me Karlos this birthday was not only big bug also loooooong! Went on for weeks! 😂😂😂 Rachel & David
Thank you for your VLOG. My wife and I had a super stay on the Castlerigg Hall site, following your VLOG on that site. So, I just wondered your thoughts as to how the 2 compare Hall vs Farm?
Great question Alan and we did talk about that between ourselves. The conclusion was we preferred Castlerigg Hall overall. Farm is nice, good facilities and stunning Mountain View’s but the Hall has so much more with having the cafe, huge shop etc and if you get certain pitches the views over the lake is unbeatable. Farm is slightly cheaper though Did you enjoy it? Rachel & David 💕
@@LeisureBitYes we very much enjoyed Castlerigg Hall. Your recommendation, together with the path down to Keswick were top notch. We also used the 555 bus to get back "home". :)

Thank you x
You’re welcome pleased you enjoyed it.

Only ever been to Keswick town so will venture a bit further next time. Thank you for this. Take care Gill
