Fun fact about road construction. Civil engineers try to ensure the amount of ground they need to remove is equal to the amount they need to fill in, to reduce costs. So, while it might not be realistic for a freeway, cutting into the terrain is a common practice.
I think what you guys should add to the city would be like a railway system that runs around/through the city and stuff, maybe like a subway system or a commuter type thing. Honestly it would be cool to just have a railway system in general.
If you're curious, there's a server called WolvHaven where we're also building a detailed city, but most of us are transit enthusiasts too so we're building a super detailed subway system/commuter rail, fit with station signage a modelled trains!!
PLEASE put a huge port with a big spanning cargo harbor full of containers and ships and DEFINITELY a cruise terminal. That would be really cool. Oh and an airport.
Another idea I have is you guys to build a *elevated light rail transit system* or a *subway line* like seen on most countries taking inspiration on some of the lines those countries have like Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, China, India, etc.
You should build a few campgrounds like one up in the mountains and one by the river And maybe like a theme park maybe on a boardwalk or just near the ocean because that would be awesome
8:09 this type of bridge is called a cable stayed bridge and is very common when the span been crossed requires multiple towers as a suspension bridge would not be able to hold all the force through the main cable whereas as cable stayed bridge does not have a main cable meaning that the load is distributed more evenly across the cables but in both the majority of the forces goes into the towers but there are many major differences between the two types of bridge.
Honestly, i gotta say, this is one of the best bubba flubba videos I've ever seen, awesome, just awesome, keep going with this city, can't wait to see the rest of the amazing series
This video came like a blessing, i was trying to find city building series everywhere on UA-cam but couldn't find anything interesting, I'm very excited for this series, the camerawork and commentary is amazing, keep it up guys!
I think this is really cool, seeing bubba building something that not in real life. But it feels real. I can’t wait for the first ip adress for this server!
adding onto the trains n’ stuff, i really wish for there to have a underground subway system like new york city. The subway system is what makes cities connected.
As a OG Minecraft player. It makes me feel nostalgic while this video is playing. I used to play Minecraft with my childhood friends and build cities while it's survival. I miss those day. 🤍
Hello colleague! I am glad that the construction of cities in Minecraft is gaining a lot of views. I'm building a Russian city in Minecraft myself, it's also cool. Good luck!
So good I have to subscribe. I love modern building and also city building. I hope to one day create my own city like this! Btw you should make a train station with a clock tower.
I would love to join in and do more residential areas, as I have no idea how world edit works, but alas, I am far too busy to even find time to play for fun. Maybe if the project's still going on in a month when I've moved, I'll be able to consider joining. For now, I'll just observe!
You should add some power plants/ factories to the city outskirts. That way the city could have electricity. Also, a really good detail would be that have construction sites in the suburbs, like more they're building more houses. Or in office buildings have ads for offices. They just add a little bit of life.
Definitely needs some type of shopping aspect where u can see the real world products in game and aswell as being able to purchase it and getting it delivered to your home
There's a guy called Alpine1 that goes into the more logistical and city planning aspects of this exact thing if you're interested. Very cool build though!
You should research about European cities(especially Amsterdam) because they tend to feel more homey and alive. With a lot of public spaces in the suburbs and alike.
ITS AMAZING! 1000000000/10 stars, the map kind of looks like San Francisco! Is that just me? I don’t know, but your build is fantastic! I like the attention to detail with all the Freeways and all that groovy stuff! Amazing work, and a good rest of your day!
I love the progress so far, you guys are making it look very professional and realistic so far! I'd like to offer some suggestions: -Please don't forget about public transport and bike infrastructure! Remember the walkability! People do not want ONLY car lanes in their cities and it makes them very bland and ugly. Pedestrian and bike infrastructure offer a lot more potential to add greenery and art than car infrastructure, so be mindful of that! -Are you going down the 'modern, American city' road where the city is only a few centuries old and planned out, or are you going to add a historic downtown like European cities have? I recommend the latter, because historic centers are usually the prettiest part of a city
You should work on the worldbuilding of this place aswell. Like, is this city in its own world or is it on Earth. And if it's on Earth what country would it belong to? Or would it be it's own country like a city state. Idk, I feel like there's a lot of potential with what you could do worldbuilding wise.
I need to explain it more in the next episode lol, but it take si spits toon from a bunch of cities, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, LA, New York, and a few others
I’m also building a city in Minecraft since 2017, it’s far from being finished but the progress is pretty impressive. It’s based on Chicago/Miami with skyscrapers from LA. LA Skyscrapers are easier to reproduce that’s why.
I don't play Minecraft or normally watch these videos, but the initial map that was created is amazing. First thought that came to mind is you could use that as a tool to teach geology.
4:26 Thank you for mentioning my country, I had been on the bridge and it’s pretty awesome! You can also do a tour and walk on the bridge and I haven’t done it *yet* but I plan too!🇦🇺🇦🇺
I live on the far east coast of Virginia near Norfolk and out here we have bridge tunnels that go under water to connect some peninsulas (we have a lot of shipyard) but it's not very common I think it would be cool to include if you can find room for it. Should be a neat project. Look into it!
I've not seen anything like this before. Incredible and overwhelming. The bridges are cool, and the traffic lights. Wow, that really blew my mind. They are really cool too. Thanks for posting.
I think that bro you are the master of this craft I am also very very interested in making these cities in minecraft I learnt so much things from you please keep uploading more videos on building so that I could learn more things from you 😊
You should add lands that we can use to build houses, and you can offer paid lands for larger lands and for commercial lands, and have a currency, there's a functioning city now!
a few thinks i think you should add 1. nascar racetrack 2. car mod or something like that to bring it alive 3. subway or above ground rail network 4. library
i saw this vid and instantly applied to be on the team, this has some real potential. Look forward from hearing from you and seeing how this progresses (whether that be as a builder or as a viewer)

"Idk how realistic a sunken freeway is". Welcome to the Netherlands, where 20% of the country is "sunken". Btw cool build, I would love to see everything when it's finished.
You should really consider building the Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA!! I feel it would be super neat to see it in your new city or as an independent build. It's super fun looking with a lot of character/ shapes to it and would be fun to figure out how to open the roof of it.
Man I was just a guy looking for pro builders building something big, but then I saw this and was AMAZED, at your amazing work and this is actually the biggest build that I have ever seen a UA-camr ever build! I am subbing liking, and adding you to favorites, I am very excited how it will turn out, and good luck with the great work!

I thought of this too as I was going through the video, glad someone agrees with me.
i agree
@@theroastpig3437 If you want i can help build a massive railyard for you
If he does add a subway one of them could go between the peninsulas underwater and bring you to the other side.

I hope you get in!
Wishing you luck!

I’m interested in architecture, do you have any tips?
As an engineer I HATE architects all they do is DRAW stuff instead of BUILD IT
You should have a minimap in the corner showing where in the city you are at the moment

Oh and an airport.
That and trains/subways would be awesome

I just applied, hopefully I can bolster the city's sewage system via the creation of a wastewater treatment facility :D

4:39 tbh the whole map terrain looks like sydney aswell haha

I hope you guys detail the interiors of all the houses and buildings. It would take a long time but it would be really cool.
