Do not block a cleared cave because they can be a safehouse in an emergency, enemies won't follow you inside, easy access to mushrooms, you can build inside and your shelter from the weather
Downloaded valheim the day it came to Xbox. At first I thought, “well, graphics aren’t the best, so I don’t know if I’ll be that into it.” It’s the only thing I think about now. All the tasks I have in life are done just so I can get back to my base. I’m completely obsessed with it.
Level 4 copper mace is the same damage as a level 1 iron mace. Stopping at level 2 is not a good idea. Why does it seem like the comments have better info than the video?
In the time spent upgrading a bronze weapon to level 4 you could’ve mined enough iron to make an iron weapon and upgraded it to level 2. You can completely skip bronze and many people go straight to iron.
@@MediocreMilton considering how rare crypts can be, & how annoying exploring the swamps can be, I'd rather get the bronze than just hope to find iron.

hey there nice content. for the atgeir to stunlock trolls, you can actually keep them stunlocked forever if you want for the stun animation to end, you can just heavy attack them and do it again. if you get the timing right, you wont lose any health
You know, I went out, and made an atgeir. I don't know if my skill with it was too low, or my timing was off - but that troll just kicked my butt! 🤣😂🤣 But ouch! First death in a very long time. And 2nd, & 3rd... 😭
Pro tip, mod the game after you've run through it on vanilla. I got to mistlands and decided to Mos. Been a blast so far. I'm playing solo but could only imagine the fun with friends.
The Serpent Scale Shield is a strong tower shield with pierce resistance, which stacks with the Root Harnesk pierce resistance, and it is a much lighter weight and has the lowest movement reduction of any tower shield in the game currently. I still use it in Mistlands with the Root Harnesk for max pierce resistance in combination with Fenris armour components (hot swapping the chest for increased movement) and a Padded Armour Helmet which doesn't reduce movement speed. You can even hot swap the Fenris helm and chest to gain the full set bonuses for fire resistance and movement speed with 2 hot key presses. The combination of these items makes handling the Mistlands far easier than in fully upgraded padded armour and black metal tower shield, the serpent scale shield is the only tower shield I would consider using pretty much anywhere.
One tip I wish ANYONE told me. If you’re on console, there’s a chance (idk how large) that when the game goes to “auto-save”, it crashes and backs you out. And when ya rejoin, your entire world is gone. Still have map progress, still have my character and inventory. But lost about 70 hours of grinding and apparently NOTHING can be done except cheating at this point.
idk how well console is at accessing backups, but I was able to recover up until my last autosave thru cloud backups on PC, may be worth checking into! 30 minutes lost is certainly better than 70 hours
@@claytonmcdorman6057 I’m on pc, it was my homie on console who was the host and lost everything. And trust…we tried the backups :/ still nothing. Restarted game, his console, and even tried waiting it out. When that happens turn your Xbox off immediately. After you restart the console clear the memory files for the game under 'manage game'. The three line button when game is selected. Try launching the game again and that should fix it. If you just try to restart the game without clearing console memory it will corrupt all of your backups.

@@Caige- It's not so easy as that. From my understanding, they had the problem initially on launch, it happened to me, but I had backups thankfully. Since that, which was probably a year and a half ago, I've seen in the notes for the updates that it was fixed for PC. Since it just released on console, and they never really had time to test the cross play compatibility, I'd assume this is a new thing again. If you really are a new player, I'll inform you that when they make these kinds of updates they often put them out on the public test branch for at least a week, usually 2 before they make it go live, this they weren't able to do that with. Just logically speaking how do you opt in for the test branch of a game, on console, that isn't on the console's store for you to look at to get the test branch? Often times for PC the crash was caused by some old mods or outdated drivers, but some of them were completely random and couldn't be fixed, such as what happened to us. The other thing is, everyone up until recently has been on PC, where it's easy to make backups and cheat things in if you need, so there hasn't REALLY been a big need to fix this. Though as far as I was aware, that issue was fixed, and it looks like it's resurfacing again.

@@MediocreMilton later on that does change a bit. the real waste of resources is bronze armor and weapons. just max out the flint spear, stagbreaker troll armor, and go to the ocean to get an abyssal razor to handle the swamps until enough iron is secured. Bonus points if you find a good sea serpent spawn that's near enough to short to make dragging them there to kill a cakewalk, because the Serpent Tower Shield can carry one into the plains(arguably Mistlands, depending on what you're fighting there)
