Also,if you're being followed by the greydwarf gangs with shaman, brute,a ton of grey dwarves, jump on a burial chamber. They won't reach you and you can shoot them down with a bow

No one talks about the water in beginner tips. If you hear the waves it's the ocean. If you don't you are on a lake.

I think you deal more damage when hitting the top of ores because the damage drops off based on distance and generally speaking, being on top minimizes the distance. You can test this out by chopping trees while standing close vs far away

1:01 dang, you almost got squished by that tree.
Thanks for the tips. I'm on a recent playthrough and it's good to see recent videos to help newbies like me.

Concerning tip #8, trees have health like anything else. You exert a certain amount of damage per swing, so targeting 2 tree will take ~twice as long as hitting them individually.

Chopping two trees at the same time does have its benefits:
      1. Less overkill: hitting two trees at the same time will indeed spread your damage. Therefore, the damage on one tree is lower compared to if you were just chopping one tree. This is beneficial since with lower damage, you are less likely to do way too much damage on a tree, while it would have also been felled with less damage. So hitting two trees at the same time is in fact better or at least just as good as hitting every tree by itself.
      2. Axe durability: Every axe has a certain amount of hits in them before they need to be repaired. For this, the game simply checks if the swing hit anything, and if it did, it will count as a hit. For durability sake, it does not check how many targets were hit. So if you always hit two trees at the same time, you can collect double the wood per repair of your axe.

@@chtyldubreux5950 Your second point is incorrect. If I hit 1 tree 5 times to fell it, or if I hit 2 trees 10 times to fell them, the end result is 2 trees felled for 10 swings total. You're not saving anything on repair or durability. And whether you hit for 1 point or 50 points, a hit is a hit generating a repair. Both of your points are invalid.

According to the wiki for Valheim's damage mechanics, if a player hits two targets with the same swing, each target takes 66.7% of the rolled damage. This would mean that it would take slightly less than twice as long since you're not halving the damage, you're only reducing it by 1 third against each tree.
Let's say you deal an average of 20 damage per swing against a single tree and a tree has 100 hit points. This means it will take 5 swings to fell it on its own. Now, let's say you are swinging at two at once. You now deal an average of 13.34 damage to each tree (20 x 0.667), meaning you need to swing 7-8 times depending on your damage rolls (100 divided by 13.34 is approximately 7.5), which is certainly less than 10. It's not a huge reduction, but it is worth it stamina-wise and durability-wise since you only lose durability on a hit (not PER hit, but when you hit) and you only lose stamina per swing.
TL;DR, you always get more TOTAL damage from hitting multiple targets, trees included, so you save time and effort hitting more things with the same swing.

Sleeping also adds an xp bonus. Same goes for rested buff, which is something a new player (or all players) should always have running! That will increase stamina and health regain. If you are cold, wet and outside at night - then you are at high risk of dying...

Sleeping doesn't add xp bonus. The rested buff gives an xp-gain bonus! Sleeping is just one way to get the rested buff, nothing more.

6:51 "Can't place campfire on wood"
There are some tricks which allow you to actually do this:
    1. (Raise the ground and) place the campfire on the ground and build a wooden floor piece underneath the fire. Now lower the ground and you have a campfire on a wooden floor piece.
For structures really high in the air where raising the ground is not an option anymore:
    2. Build a iron metal bar, build a stone floor tile on top of it. As long as the iron is connected all the way to the ground, the stone should be stable. Now build a campfire on that stone floor tile. Now build a wooden floor tile on top of the stone tile, but underneath the campfire. Now you can even delete the stone floor tile, as long as the wooden tile has structural integrity.
    Or the easiest option:
    3. Buy the firepit iron from Hildir. This item can be placed on wooden floor tiles and will give you the same functionality as a campfire. Note that this item cannot be teleported.

    "Make sure to repair first!"
If you decide to make an instructive Valheim video, please do your research first. Having to repair structures to get the full building cost back is a MYTH! Even at half HP, if you deconstruct it you will get all the original materials back.
