- The Tea Party is like an "epilogue".
Here you have it: the final fight between Battler and Beatrice. It is a high exchange of Red and Blue and Battler tries his best to solve all the games 1 - 4.

There are plenty of flowers which mean "truth" in Japanese flower language, so the fact that the author decided to use forget-me-not is very telling 🥲
God, Battler's blue truths are so stupid at times. But it's possible.

Well this time he was just trying to throw anything at Beatrice until he gets it right. I don't think he's so stupid to the point of talking about small bombs and believing it.
Battler's win condition is to prove that the murders are humanly possible, so he doesn't have to find the actual culprit. Any ridiculous theory is alright, as long as it's humanly possible.
actually, a lot of things he said turned out to be disturbingly close to the truth

Wow, so much stuff I never noticed when initially playing this. Like the fact that Battler mentions there possibly being someone who goes by multiple names. It's funny how it's simultaneously misdirection while also throwing the truth in your face.
edit: Oh man, also the thing about the weather in the meta-garden resembling Beatrice's emotions + it raining
When Beatrice speaks of toying with the pieces, she suggest Battler could find a way turn Ange into scrap meat, and says she listen to suggestions. Spoilers:

Also the part where it was about Kanon's identity and someone else carrying or inheriting it, and that one being displayed as being extremely effective and causing Beato massive pain. If you don't get it, it seems like a minor detail - but if you do get it, then that's a paaainful moment, and you know exactly why that one hit her hard.
Haha, the part at 34:32 ("my Golden Witch, Beatrice"), Battler letting his true feelings slip in.
The sad part is, Beatrice notices. you see it as her face gets soft just before she starts laughing like a maniac.

Battler indirectly creates The Endless Witch, BEATRICE when he describes his ideal woman to Shannon. Yasuda, the human behind Shannon combines this information with the legend of the forest Kinzo screams about, and the Gospel House's religious teaching, as well as the servant ghost stories.
Chick Beatrice, the one BATTLER creates is a copy of BEATRICE but when Yasuda first made the version that would be Battler's ideal. This version hasn't waited a thousand years (six years) for Battler to return to Rokkenjima, and hasn't recognized the "furniture" problem (genital dysfunction) of Yasuda. She also hasn't been combined with the Endless Witch Backstory yet. We see that happen in Episode 6.

She wanted Battler to beat her so that he would remember who she was and her story. And what had happened between them. All of this torture that she was inflicting on him was to make him remember.
She didn't want to defeat Battler.
Actually didn't she use less red and accept battlers stupid theories TO make him arrive at the solution later
@@mehmetalireyhan8436 BEATRICE explains in several inner monologues during and before this battle that because Battler isn't figuring out what the culprit wants him to figure out, she is giving up. So she fights just enough to get him to murder her. She doesn't want to entertain LAMBDADELTA anymore, and has lost her Certainity.
BEATRICE want him to figure it out sooner. It is why she drops the sin question this Episode.
@@Fragmentsinfractals488 but didn't she say several times that she takes this battle seriously and has to fight multiple times i mean she does want him to find out but at the same time wants to prevent him because if not this would not be a true fight I remember her saying that also she does want him to remember but not by outright telling him because if she told him about detectives authority and the importance of the riddle after part 1 this would end a lot sooner altough it won't make him remember (sorry for bad English)
Its quite funny how lucky Battler is here actually, had they introduced the Knox commandments before Chiru his theories would have crumbled immediately in the EP4 tea party
Lucky? he was so dumb by this point. Maybe if the Knox rules would appear before, they could remember him that the story it's a mystery, and could have avoided to lose Beato.
It's been years since I read this episode, but was listening to the OST on my iPod and I wanted to rewatch this scene.....The goosebumps, the feels, the ADRENALINE!
Everything was so damn good. I cannot wait for this to fully be on Steam. I want to re read everything again!

I finished EP4 yesterday. This Tea Party was easily my favourite part up until now. And that music at the end... just beautiful!

It is because Shannon's body is still alive and in front of the detective, or Shannon is physically dead and therefore cannot continue to fake Kanon's corpse.
It also symbolically shows Kanon's love with Jessica is weaker and less developed than Shannon's with George. Therefore, Kanon tends to end up ephemeral more often.

Man, magic has always looked all powerful because they had monopoly on suspension of disbelief. The instant the trick side got ahold of suspension of disbelief too they do start to shoot out absolutely ridiculous claim huh? Especially the mini bombs.
Beatrice refers to it as a summoning technique. Filling gaps with X, or something else. It doesn't really solve much, but iin the realm of the catbox, it "works".

I think the answer to the "final mystery" in terms of "who killed Battler if he's the only one on the island" is the bombs hidden under the island. The ones that seal Rokkenjima as a catbox, that "Beatrice" rigged to explode at the end of the murders.
As for "final mystery" meaning "Who is Beatrice?", well...
If you've read through the whole story, it should be very obvious who that is.

I think that is pretty much it yea. Battler has brain damage and probably read the message bottles which conflict with actual memories and a made up story and I think that is what the games represent in the real world, as he solves the games, it's him realizing that wasn't a real memory. There is a real story of a brain damage case where someone was shot in the face and interrogated by police and he said he was shot with arrows. It reminded me of the Chiesters.

1 - I read about that the anime sucks and stuff, but I really find impressive that they condensed this into 10 minutes. Like imagine you had to condense this into 10 minutes.
Of course probably a better anime adaptation would requires making this more than 10min.
2 - 39:40 and 39:50 devil's proof you are without peer.
After wondering what happened to Ange on the island for hours, reading "Ushiromiya Ange (Died in 1998)" at 01:12:48 hit differently...

Ok blue is the color of truth but I think that there was an oversight or maybe Hanakotoba (Japanese language of flower) is different, but even then shouldn't be the Chrysanthemums? It may even be that Ryukishi found a forced interpretation to use blue (color of truth) at all costs.
