- There is a lot to like about the ARRMA Senton 4x4 truck! It comes in at an amazing pricepoint for a 1/10th scale 4WD short course truck and I'm blown away by the thought they put into assembling it in a consumer-friendly way that makes it really easy to work on. In this video I'll unbox the truck, but also show you how to take out the Power Module and early remove the Differential! I wouldn't do that with most cars...but ARRMA made is so simple that I had to show you. Hope you enjoy the video.

Just got into RC's at the ripe age of 39. Bought the big rock last week, Senton this week.
A great starter truck for younger people getting into the hobby. They have kept it very simple with cleaver design.

I agree! I really want to get the new Kraton. I had that in my sights..but got the Losi DBXL-E instead...that was a mistake.

Bro Tony, First off fantastic informative overview!! Secondly over the past years I haven't given arrma much of a consideration for purchase. Just the other day I received the new tower catalog and I thought their rigs seemed to be coming along with styling and price point. But Buddy it takes alot to impress me in the design and innovation category and I am thuroughly impressed with this rig front to back!! Some people might not care about these details but I love it there was obviously some smart guys who gave a crap when they were developing this one!! I'm going to look at these rigs with a whole new perspective and I seriously think I'm going to have to add one to the collection!! Really enjoyed the video nice work man!!!
Thanks Rich! I'm 100% with you on this. I honestly wouldn't dream of taking most cars apart during an unboxing...but when I saw how little it took on the box, I had to try it. What a dream. Traxxas put this kid of thought into the X-maxx. It was super easy to fix my diff in the X-maxx as well. I do wish they were more upfront about the ESC specs and max battery power you can use. I'm just going to jump to using 3s with this and replace things as needed. :)
+CCxRC well im late to tell you this but it only takes 2s not 3 but i seen some things about the esc on 3s but idk

finally got my first Arrma!
Interesting, dont think it will catch on as a racer because of the plastic turnbuckles, but I like the idea of taking the diff out with only 4 screws. The only problem I can see happening is if the screws loosen up. Will the diff start grinding? SHould be a good little basher though I bought the arrma fury when it first was introduced to the market. Still running it now, only replaced 1 part and its on a 9turn brushless motor with a 3s lipo.
Something tells me that racers aren't the target market for ARRMA 😀 Definitely feel like a basher company. It will be interesting to see how well the diff housing works and if it loosens like you mention and how the center drive shaft holds up. I guess if they are cheap to replace...It'll be worth it for the ease of use.

Awesome! Congrats on the new truck...and welcome to the hobby. Typically what I do is use the wrench to tighten it down all the way and the loosen it 1/8 - 1/4 a turn. Usually is a safe place to start.
CCxRC what is the point of adjusting it? Can you accidentally throw off the adjustment by spinning the tires as you admire it
For the hundred or so you save vs a more costly RC you can get some upgrades..,I like this RC.

Tony is the Senton as good as the DHK Zombie 8e (own 1) ? I the Senton upgradable
to run on 3S - 4S Lipos? Looking for another RC Truck/Truggy to run when the other is
down for repairs! Maybe a Vkar Bison V2 or JLB 21101? Love My Zombie & only paid
$238 4 years ago so what 1/8 or 1/10 scale 4x4 Truck/Truggy would get if you only

Is there a center driveshaft upgrade for this or can a beefier driveshaft be used from another arrma be used brushless if need be.
When you removed the drive shaft from the vehicle, Is transformed into 2wd?

I tried pulling out the 12 turn and I can't as hard as I pull can you help me figure out please. I've been pulling that tab that says pull and it is just stuck

just a fast question, is this truck (like most RC short course truck's) have a high center of gravity? i realy wanna know, it JUST came up in my mind???????
In what way? I would say that they typically seem to have a low center of gravity. Some of the Slash are set higher for bashing ground clearance, but they make a low COG chassis upgrade for them. This didn’t want to roll.

The spur gets dirt in it easily causing it to get torn up quickly. The servo get rocks jammed between the servo horn and chassis locking up the steering way too easy, need to clear the rocks out every 5 minutes. The plastic diff input shafts breaks way too easy. The driveshaft broke from melting in half due to a twig that was rubbing on it. All 4 shocks leak out oil from new. Stock servo sucks.

It has independent suspension and the steering and throttle are both proportional, so it will drive faster the more you push it.

After sending me a new driveshaft and shocks seals Arrma said that they no longer will send me new parts without shipping the truck to them to inspect on my dime.
Ja Lee do you have a local rc store? I bought my arrma cus the old guys said it was a tank and better than traxxas. Also cus they had each and every part I could ever need in stock and a 2 year warranty
