I just really like that it was Tobey who told Andrew that he was amazing, and that he was the one who stopped Tom from killing someone. He was such a dad to the other spiders it was great.
True! Its nice that Tobey treats Andrew just like Tom because they are both younger than him even if Andrew technically got older. Their chemistry was so enjoyable. I hope Andrew will be in another Spiderman movie like tasm3, cuz he deserves it

Andrew’s performance in this movie took me by surprise. He had such an on-screen presence with his comedy and charisma. The scene where he saves MJ was fantastic and truly brought his character full circle.
The joke “Peter 3” and his delivery were the absolute icing on the cake. He really eleveated it for me I went away stunned at home much I loved watching him as Spider-Man
But man the writers did Andrew Garfield's Spiderman a huge justice after he was deemed the worst by a lot of people - by giving him a lot of emotion and shining moments/comedy. Loved what they did - emphasizing the "Amazing" part. I was oozing a bit.
@@High-sewciety The main thing they have going for them is the chemistry between Andrew, Emma, and Denis Leary, the cinematography, James Horner’s and Hans Zimmers’ respective scores, and seeing new villains. If you noticed Tobey Spider-Man never let the other 2 Spider-Men beat themselves up. He’s was used to doubting himself, so he knows to give his younger multi version of himself confidence

I think this movie cemented my view of the different Spider-Man actors. Tom Holland might be the best blend of "Peter Parker" and "Spider-Man" but Andrew felt the closest to "Spider-Man". His need to ask Tobey about his webs, "I love you guys", "PETER THREEEE!" just gave me classic Spider-Man vibes. Tobey's wise but humble persona definitely felt more like modern Peter Parker.
This movie was honestly a treat. So much good chemistry and vindication for Andrew's Spider Man. Him saving MJ and Tobey telling him that he was amazing was something I didn't know I needed. It really was a treat to watch. Seeing Tobey act like the Older Brother for them all and be the one with the most wisdom and experience. Tom being the still young kid brother of the 3. It was perfect, really glad I went out and saw this movie.

Yessir! The entire movie was excellent, but that ending got to me the most. That bakery scene, moving into his own place, from everything to nothing, but he does what he does and still serves the neighborhood! Ultimate sacrifice, very Spider-Man like
The third act in general is absolutely amazing, but yeah the last scene where he moves into the shitty-ass apartment and makes his own suit was so amazing. We've seen Holland's character grow from "Iron-Man Jr" to the actual Spider-Man from the comics and yeah that was perfect.
duuuuuude I want more spider-man swings in the winter please HOLY SHIT. Him slippin n sliding through the snow loved it. So cool. Snow allows for a LOT of dope parkour moments which is so spider-man.
Ya that’s the biggest tragedy is I could always see a lot of great things in Andrew’s portrayal but aside from a couple isolated moments I don’t think the scripts written for those movies ever really supported him And I do appreciate how it does allow Andrew’s Spider-Msn to have some semblance of closure and just in general a lot of the characters in his universe that never got it
This film proves Andrew was never the problem, the movies themselves were. I always walked away from an amazing Spiderman movie satisfied with his performance and this movie not only cements that but elevates him His Spiderman was left in a dark place and never had his catharsis, this felt good
I'd say Sony was the one who fumbled the ball, fortunately Marvel got the ball and saved it. Sony got too involved and ultimately screwed up Spiderman 3 and the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies. Once Marvel got their hands on Spiderman they clearly knew how to use him.
Also Andrew had to do the I think universe 2 of spider-man the marvel one is 3 and allegedly because of the spell a universe kinda disappeared the 4th one until the end of the movie lol
I also liked him as spider-man. He felt like he could actually do parkor in real life or something. I was convinced enough as to view him as the new spider-man =). The movies as a whole wasn't "perfect" to put it nicely
Sandman is actually on Dr. Strange’s side. He just wants to press the button as soon as possible and doesn’t want to risk losing his chance to go back home because Spidey was taking unnecessary risks. That’s why he attacks Spider-Man at the end. He wanted to find the box and press the button.
Yeah but that contradicts his actions. The entire reason Tom Holland called Jonah J Jameson to livestream himself was so he could bait the other villains to the stature of liberty in fear that he would push the button. So all Sandman had to do was just either help Spiderman wipe out all the villains or just stayed home.
@@SuperMurray2009 but Iron Spider didn’t push the button. So Sandman just wanted it over with so he went to push it himself. You know, in order to get it over with before someone did something like put a bomb in it and blow it the hell up?
In Venom: let there be carnage post credits, venom was talking about billions of years of hive knowledge across universes, then they got transported and venom looked at Peter on tv and said "that guy". So that explains it for me.
Exactly. The symbiote knew Toby’s Peter Parker and happened to have traveled to Tom Hardy’s universe and was able to slip in when the spell broke free cause the symbiote knew Peter all along. Makes sense to me.

I love the implication of everyone forgetting Peter Parker, it's almost like a total refresh. He's making his own suit now, and he can finally grow into his own outside of Tony Stark's shadow, which has been my biggest criticism of Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

For the confusion over why venom was sucked in, in the comics they made it that symbiotes are a hive mind that can share information and memories through the multiverse so Tom Hardy’s venom could know about Peter Parker from spiderman 3
Yup. And the spell didn’t take the Symbiotes.. it was taking people “humans”. So when venom shares some of his knowledge with Eddie, it yanked Eddie and Venom was pulled for the ride. So at the end, it sent back Eddie and venom because he’s in Eddie. But the symbiote isn’t really being moved, just Eddie. So if venom dropped a piece, it didn’t have to leave. It wasn’t in Eddie.
I love the scene when the battle is over and Tom is thanking the 2 other Spider-Men for all of their help. It felt so real because Tom wouldn’t be where he is today with his success without Tobey and Andrew paving the way for him. One of my favorite scenes
The Home Trilogy is MCU's Spider-Man's origin story. He had mentors, had family, but due to his irresponsible decisions (not hiding his identity that well, giving Beck the glasses, messing up Strange's spell and preventing him from sending the villains back), he hurt not only his friends, but also caused the death of his Aunt May. The death of a close family member/responsibility speech is an absolute point and cannot be changed. It's a constant in most universes. Peter learned in this trilogy how to handle his responsibilities as Spider-Man. I'm curious what the College Trilogy will be like.
I wonder if they’ll bring may back somehow. That mephisto thing could still happen lol albeit with different conditions since Peter and mj aren’t a thing anymore
Well I mean you could literally say that about any of the characters and their stories... in any of the marvel movies... they all start somewhere in a characters history and end somewhere in a characters history, an origin story is just that
@@Gc20570 I have some bad news for you people...at the wrap up of this entire MCU phenomenon everybody is going to come back, trust me, they'll make it happen...remember my words.
Watching this movie made me feel like a excited little boy again, growing up with the animated series and watching the Tobey Maguire movies. And of course Andrew Garfield bringing back his funny charismatic Spider-Man was a joy to see again and giving him his own redemption was so beautiful and emotional. The scene of them on the Statue of Liberty talking with each other about themselves and what happened in their own movies while their all in their OG suits has got to be my favorite scene in the whole movie, love them together, they’re such bros!
We all knew Tobey and Andrew were gonna be in this even when Disney kept trying to tell us otherwise. However, the way they treated them is phenomenal. I never was a fan of Andrew’s Spiderman but this movie really made me love him and say “maybe Andrew is my fave Spiderman”. This movie proves Garfield would be an amazing Spider-Man(no pun intended) under good writers.
Ive been hearing this very niche group of Spiderman fans claim The Amazing Spiderman is the best and most realistic Spiderman. Hot Take but ive been hearing it alot more lately since this movies release.
Maybe it’s because I find him to be the best actor out of the three but he’s the perfect Spider-Man to me. His mannerisms are so perfect for the character, even down to the way he looks when the suit is on him.
I actually rewatched the end credits for Venom 2 and Venom says that the symbiotes as a race share a hive mind across all universes. So the Symbiotes know about Peter Parker and the spell was specifically every person, so when Venom shared a bit of his knowledge with Eddy, he learned about Peter Parker being Spider-Man
Garfield's redemption scene really got to me too. He needed that win, as he had been carrying that weight for some time now. He felt like the least adequate of the 3 of them. It made me also think about where each of the 3 Peter's are in their lives. Tobey is the oldest and has lived through his sacrifices and finally adjusted to them, while Andrew is still at a low point and hasn't been able to recover yet. Tom is only at the beginning with the sacrifices he has to make.
My favorite part is when Tom’s Peter is punching him in the face and his face reverts back to scared Norman but after the next punch he’s back to green goblin

But what was the point of Tobey getting stabbed after though? Only for them to kinda just ignore it. I thought they were teasing a Tobey death but the Spider-Men just laugh it off like nothing.
@@McBurn86 Yeah, although I do believe he can survive that, he survives from explosions in close contacts and other injuries, they are superhumans. I think the point of that stab is to show peter(tom) matured, by not getting swayed by emotions and didn't try to kill him.

Seeing Matt Murdock in the MCU just warmed my heart so much. I absolutely love Dare Devils run on Netflix, it made me so sad when it was cancelled right after season 3 released. The Netflix Verse has so much humanity to it, to be fair they have alot more time with these characters to truly develop and take their time but even the types of morals and stories they tell are done so well, so mature like the same Matt that fought Frank Castle on that roof top, and everything is helping Spiderman, I honestly felt like Tom Holland should be bowing to him but of course that's not how it works, hands down the biggest surprise, the theater lit up ! It was so great seeing him and it hasn't been so many years to the point where he looks old or whatnot, him catching the brick absolutely flawless. Season 3 of Daredevil was phenomenal it was completely amazing from start to finish, broke my heart when they cancelled all the shows (expect Iron Fist) but damn this had me smiling from cheek to cheek.
I was honestly more excited to know that in a way, this confirms that the Punisher and Luke Cage can now come into the MCU as well. Matt catching the brick and Tom realizing he's a super human too was fantastically delivered. Tom knows there's more to Matt but doesn't overpush it, knowing people like May and Happy will look at him differently instead of focusing on the case they're fighting with him.
The duality between Toby’s final fight with goblin, and toms is I think underrated. How toby frozen an realized what he was doing back in 2002 and having to help tom realize that he won’t win if he kills goblin is truly a master class scene
Although it also does maybe prove Tom ain't to be fu**ed with, he got hit full speed with a bullet train at 200 MPH, he stopped a ship from sinking, he has taken unholy amounts of damage and fell through entire floors.. and he absolutely destroyed Green Goblin who essentially was the same age and strength (script wise) as in the first Spider-Man film. Tom wiped the floor with him when Tobey struggled.. is that because Tom in that moment wanted him dead and that was the difference? Possibly. But in terms of feats of strength and durability, I don't think anyone can question Tom has been given those moments more than Tobey and Andrew. Perhaps his spider that bit him was more potent than even Andrew and Tobey's. Idk.. it would be nice to get some clarification on whether he is actually stronger or if the Nanotech Suit gives him added durability and strength as well.
@@JayNSG0 Tom got his ass handed to him by the goblin too, tobey whooped goblins ass in the final fight too, he was moments from beating him to death before Norman begged for him to stop lol

Tobey Spiderman stopping Holland Spiderman from killing Green Goblin is more significant than people realise. Green Goblin dying from his own glider blade is basically what puts all the events in Spiderman 2 and 3 into motion including Harry's death so for him to have a chance to stop it, again even stopping him from being killed with the glider is like coming full circle for his character. I feel like that's Tobey's equivalent moment to Garfield saving MJ after failing to save Gwen.

@@bobhotpocket1875 Doc is a bitch in the comics too and in Spider-Man 2 as well. The difference between Doc and the rest of the villains outside of Sandman is that he actually redeemed himself in 2 and Otto was never evil to begin with, he was just being controlled by the arms. It was fitting for him to be the good guy here especially with the scene with Tobey.
When Tobey showed up, that was one of the best moments and when he tried to stop Tom from killing Green Goblin, that was such a good moment, no words, just that look
Tobey knows what avenging and forgiving someone is more than anybody else because of all the experiences he had throughout spiderman 3. Tobey Maguire stopping Tom Holland couldn’t felt any more appropriate.
Completely agree, until that pointless death fake out. Goblin stabs him and it's all dramatic... and then its just okay he's still good, no biggie. It really undercuts that moment of him stopping Tom for me. Like either commit to it and kill him or just don't do it at all. That's the one and only thing I actively dislike in the movie.
Can we just talk for a minute about the fight choreography, especially when the Green Goblin was smashing spiderman through the floors of the building? Was incredible.

I was so excited to see Tobey and it was absolutely incredible to see him again.. but I gotta say. Andrew Garfield. Wow. I felt that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfields end for Spider-Man were so well wrapped up and redeemed without feeling like Tom Holland was overshadowed at all! Definitely my 2021 movie of the year, and my new favorite MCU movie of all time!
The way they introduced Andrew and Tobey into the film was so good. They have Andrew come in, be a wise ass, dressed in his suit, he's Spider-Man, he takes the hype. Then, once the hype has left, they have Tobey come in, slow, calm, he's Peter Parker, it's a humble entrance. They hit you with the one two. The duality of Spider-Man. It was probably the best moment in the whole film.
You know what I liked about this movie? -there was a lot at stake. -just simply the Multiverse being involved and Dr Strange. -there almost was no highschool bullshit involved (which I like ). -Ofcourse Tobey and Andrew too. -brutal fight scenes.
For Tom Hardy’s Venom, the reason why he was pulled in was bc in Venom 2, Venom says in the post credit scene that he has knowledge from the symbionts hive mind that spans across universes meaning that Tobey Maguire’s Venom’ s knowledge of Spider-Man being Peter Parker is known to all symbiotes including Hardy’s Venom
Peter’s choice to finally go through that selfless act of having everyone forget him is the lesson. When Strange tells him the results he just simply replies “I know”. He understands now that with great power comes great responsibility
Overall theme of this movie just feels like Redemption. They had to redeem Tobey bc the 3rd movie was met w/ so much backlash, they had to redeem Andrew bc his entire stint as Spidey was met w criticism. They even had to redeem tom bc his best performances as Spidey werent in Hoco or FFH. And they redeemed all 3 beautifully to me
I loved it especially andrew, he didn't have the proper conclusion as the others have in his movies but they were committed into making it right and I appreciate that so much.
Tobey's spiderman used cartoony villains with realistic heroes. This is why Andrew's spiderman is disliked. Because Andrew's spiderman is a cartoony villain with realistic martyrs. Tom's spiderman is confused like the rest of the world because of the alien threats from outer space and the multidimensional existences. Tobey's spiderman and Tom's spider is allowed to be flawed characters. Andrew's spiderman do not show any understanding about what's right or wrong, he's spiderman and that he is spiderman and is kind of a blank page on a paper. It show the difference between a good actor and a bad actor. Andrew is acting as himself and it is seen.
I like to think that even though dr strange THINKS spiderman caused him to mess up the spell. It was actually the same moment Loki killed Kang and unlocked the multiverse. The multiverse did not exist until the end of the Loki series

What made that moment better though was clearly most of the audience in my theater had never seen or heard of Daredevil so not many people reacted but I’m sure it got them curious.
I was touched by the treatment they gave to Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. It brought closure to how they left the character at the end of Amazing Spider-Man 2 but it also felt like it brought closure to Garfield himself, who was fired by Sony. I thought they did a really good job with him. Also, excellent acting from Garfield in the emotional moments. Also great to see Tobey Maguire again, he's still the definitive Spider-Man for me - I think he inhabited the Peter Parker role better than Holland. For me, the best moment of the film was near the beginning when we see Matt Murdock as Parker's lawyer - FINALLY, Disney is recognising the Netflix characters, and Daredevil was mindblowingly brilliant - too good for them to reboot or recast. I'm hoping this leaves the door open to the rest of the Daredevil cast returning, maybe for another series of Daredevil, as well as seeing more from Luke Cage, Iron Fist etc. I went to see it with a friend who asked me what was going on with the back-cracking scene. My answer to her was two words "Bro moment". That's what it was. It was important to see all these characters who brought something different to the role on screen looking out for each other. The thing about Peter wanting to save all the villains puts him in a interesting position and is a very Spider-Man thing to do. He ultimately succeeds but at great personal cost. Which again is part and parcel with the character.
Is it though? Like I loved in the first movie when he sacrifices his life to save Vulture, but in this movie, he puts his friends and family (and possibly his entire world) in an extreme risk just for a chance to save 5 villains There’s a large ethical difference between sacrificing yourself to save a murderer and placing other people in danger to save the life of a murderer.

Agreed. I think it would be awesome if Andrew returns again but this time he’s basically Tom Holland’s Peter/Spider-Man all grown up. Still, I say Andrew is my favorite Spider-Man out of all of them
I'd love to see more from all three of them. I doubt Sony would be willing to take that big of a financial risk, considering that the Andrew and Tobey movies wouldn't have the financial or creative support that they get for the Tom movies from Marvel, but it would still be cool as hell.
Apparently they might appear in the secret wars movie that marvel is planning to do, if you dont know the story arc, its basically different incarnations of superheroes fighting for their universe. Or a full spiderverse movie with miles included.
This movie was amazing. I can say that everyone who hated Tom holland about how he feels like “iron man jr”, would love him in this movie. He mature into his spider man.

Andrew Garfield absolutely stole the show. The meta commentary on how bad his movies were by himself was so great and I’m so happy tobey and him discussed how “amazing” he was. So fucking wholesome. So fucking spiderman. Edit: I just assume willem dafoe will kill any role he has and of course he was the best, I bring up Andrew because that was the biggest surprise in a movie FULL of characters. Subtle things like throwing his arms up saying “guess I’m spiderman 3🤷♂️” was so perfect with his goofy ass face he made.
I'm very happy they didn't overdo it with the TASM Meta commentary though, as these movies also have a fanbase & respecting us as well, was a very appreciated move from Marvel.

While Raimi’s trilogy still holds up super well, it is *incredibly* campy. So I get the decision to streamline both of them a bit to fit with the vibe of the film.
One thing I haven't seen anyone address, when Tobey and Andrew were telling Tom about their losses, I really felt the emotion from Andrew Garfield when he was talking about the aftermath of Gwen Stacey's death and how after awhile he was so filled with rage that he stopped pulling his punches. I would love a darker Spiderman story. I know they tried it with Spider Man 3, but I would have loved an entire Spider Man movie dedicated to it and I fee we lost out with Andrew not getting a third movie, because I feel like the emotion he would have brought to that would have been second to none.
Explanation: Tom Hardy was pulled in because in the Venom 2 post-credit, Venom shows Tom "80-billion light years of hive knowledge across universes". So he technically did know due to the hive knowledge. And also the symbiotic venom can travel across universes and the symbiote ITSELF is not a person that was zapped back to their own universe as it broke off of Eddie Brock.
He didn't actually show him the hive knowledge, they were pulled into mcu as he was about to, venom says something like "that wasn't me" just after. One of the other channels i saw thinks that the "knowledge from across the multiverse" includes toby's venom and that is why he was pulled over... but who knows
People really don’t seem to understand this venom immediately says “ that wasn’t me”. So many people missed that I thought I was watching a version re-edited for clarity or something.
@Fish Boy What he learns in the MCU is irrelevant. Electro would have needed to know in Amazing Spiderman 2 to be brought into the MCU by the spell. I don't recall this ever happening.
I noticed this on my second watch: When Peter’s senses warn him about Goblin, you can see Aunt May in the background burning White Sage. My family does this sometimes and it’s supposed to ward off negative energy or some people say evil spirits. Pretty cool detail that they did that at the same time Goblin comes out.
That's a cool little detail. I love how Goblin is treated like a force of evil that comes and goes. He truly is the demon that haunts Spiderman in all the universes.
The most emotional part of the movie that made me CRY was Andrew saving MJ. That scene was so special and he needed that closure so much 🥺🥺 I felt so sad for trauma filled Andrew’s Spider-Man
if you recall, venom gives eddy "a taste" of the symbiote hive mind in their post credit scene of venom 2. "80 million light years of hive knowledge, across universes." immediately after this, they get dragged into the mcu. the symbiote hive mind must have had knowledge of spider man and shared it in this moment. venom doesnt fully understand it, but instinctively is shown obsessing over peter. he FEELS a need to find spider man. although they get whisked away in the end, the symbiote instinctively must have left a piece (or child) behind in this universe in order to bond with spiderman.
I love that Osborn said the line “you know I’m something of a scientist myself” Scriptwriters acknowledge the memes there Also, missed opportunity to put in Mr Ditkovich as Peter’s land lord at the end. It would have been perfect
Doc Oc: "You're all grown up. How are you?" Peter: "I'm good, still trying to be better" Me watching them, shedding a tear: "Yes, we are.. doing our best to be better Doc.."
Willam defoes performance was amazing. Him and Tom’s first fight scene was perfectly done. Gave me majors vibes from the fights in the first Spider-Man. Very grounded and powerful. All the punches and hits could be felt through the screen
That first fight was incredible. When Tom’s Spidey keeps punching him desperately in the face and Goblins’s looking up at him laughing with that maniacal grin. Shit was terrifying. Dafoe put his whole foot in that role🦶
This was the strongest Green Goblin I've seen. He felt terribly menacing, especially that he picked up were the other villains couldn't and was on the verge of winning
You missed the best part of him saving MJ, he does like a dry cry after he realizes she is fine, finally forgiving himself, was pure chef's kiss. They really nailed the arcs for all three of the Spiderman. Tobey gets to save Tom from becoming the monster he became, amazing.
I'm honestly shocked that they perfectly made arcs for absolutely all of the heroes and villains in this film. That's a huge accomplishment in film making right? Not even Endgame did character arcs this well. Tom finally became his own man, escaping the image of Tony and becoming the true "friendly neighborhood Spiderman." Andrew redeemed his former mistake, a mistake that led him down a dark path where he (based on that one line about not pulling his punches anymore) came insanely close to making mistakes he couldn't redeem or forgive himself for. And as you said, Tobey saved Tom from becoming the "villian" he himself became later on in his story. Obviously every villain has their own arc but.. there's a lot of them so it'd be a really long comment if I kept this trend up.
It's a very Spider-Man thing to do, but it's also potentially very stupid lol. It's excusable for his character, but if you were to pick a side, you could argue that Doctor Strange's plan was the more sensible one... Then again, he could have probably compromised with Peter and just helped speed up the process while preventing the villains getting so out of hand... I dunno... But yeah, I don't think they meant it didn't make sense for the character, just that it was generally a bad idea.
@@KitsyX Well it's easy to say oh well I'd side with Strange but if you were actually put in the position of whether someone lived or died it would be alot harder than you seem to think it would be. Again Peter isn't saying this on a whim, he knows he has the techonolgy to help them and prooves as such later. Whenever there's been another choice to subdue a villian peter has always taken that option and never once considered killing them. Beck's death was his own fault Peter had no intention of killing him and likely would've had him arrested like Vulture instead. And remember he's still a high school kid who's been under enormous pressure and now he's being asked to break his moral code and let people he knows can be cured die. One of the core elements to spiderman is that he screws up, but then learns from it and grows from that mistake.
The funny thing is, it fucking works in the end so I don't know what they're complaining about, yeah Aunt May died but her ideology was correct and it ended up working, but of course Alex and AJ will call anything stupid if doesn't coincide with their own morals, good thing this isn't "Angry-Joe: No Way Home."
Venom said something about having hive knowledge that spanned across universes, maybe he shares memories with alternate versions of venom and that's why he knows who Peter is. He could be linked to versions of him and that's why he left part of himself in the MCU.
Am I the only person that really disliked the Venom films? I felt no enjoyment finding out that Venom was gonna be MCU because I simply find Tom Hardy's Venom insufferable.
In his defense, I think strange was kinda like “ you’ve been through enough “ and based on his conversation with Wong, he’s done this before with no problems. So it was light work until Peter kept adding on.
Exactly, maybe it narratively could have been executed just a bit better, but I think they’re a little too ruffled up about it. We understand that to Strange, this isn’t a big deal, and that he DEFINITELY wants to immediately fix the issue as soon as it arises, and we also understand Peter and May’s much more human and mortal perspective on things. I think it’s all fine.
@@corporatestatusbrah I disagree. Everything that dude said in this comment was made explicitly clear in the movie. I totally understood why strange was helping peter
@@adamcameron485 so because Peter kept changing the people he wanted to know it goofed the spell and puts the plot into motion. If you want to have that service as a plot cool, but it’s just bad writing. If this was a younger version of Strange and he didn’t know fully what was going on it works, but holding that Peter messed up the spell is just lazy. If you can look past the multiple amounts of plot holes and writing flaws cool, but don’t act like what’s setting the plot in motion is good writing.
@@corporatestatusbrah I don't think this is a great set up to explain why the multiverse stuff happens, but I totally disagree about strange's motivations not making sense. The dude above reiterated what the movie did. The film was very clear about why he did it. He clearly didn't realize the potential harm that could come with the spell, and it has to do with the lack of existing knowledge on the spell. The film was very clear about that. Using that spell would not need to come from strange's inexperience. Also, strange hasn't been a sorcerer very long. I don't know if you saw dr strange, but he became sorcerer supreme very quickly, lol
I think that Sandman was just done with waiting for Peter to heal everyone and just wanted to push the button before anything else went wrong. He’s the only one who would survive and he doesn’t know this Peter so he doesn’t trust him enough to wait it out. The only weird thing is him not helping at the apartment but it might be that he saw things going wrong and he just decided to say fuck it and look for the cube.

Sandman is actually on Dr. Strange’s side. He just wants to press the button as soon as possible and doesn’t want to risk losing his chance to go back home because Spidey was taking unnecessary risks. That’s why he attacks Spider-Man at the end. He wanted to find the box and press the button.

Yup. This is the explanation
Yup. And the spell didn’t take the Symbiotes.. it was taking people “humans”. So when venom shares some of his knowledge with Eddie, it yanked Eddie and Venom was pulled for the ride. It made me also think about where each of the 3 Peter's are in their lives. Tobey is the oldest and has lived through his sacrifices and finally adjusted to them, while Andrew is still at a low point and hasn't been able to recover yet. Tom is only at the beginning with the sacrifices he has to make.

I'm so mad people gloss over that. I was completely shocked at seeing him in the film and I got extremely excited.

Andrew didn’t do much but have his easily foreshadowed saving of MJ. Tom is the best
I didn't like The Amazing Spiderman especially Andrew's portrayal of Peter Parker. But in this though, Andrew's Spiderman and Peter Parker was great.

Right. And in the Venom post credit, he also says “This guy” and licks the tv screen showing Spider-Man like he knows him.
Movie implies he was in the bar the entire trip, lol.
Still we want Tom hardy as eddie Brock
I'll have to copy your comment and paste it everywhere people are confused about venom knowing peter. You genius!
Which means if he came across Garfield’s Spiderman…
Peter’s choice to finally go through that selfless act of having everyone forget him is the lesson. When Strange tells him the results he just simply replies “I know”. He understands now that with great power comes great responsibility
And with great fk ups, comes great amnesia lol

They even had to redeem tom bc his best performances as Spidey werent in Hoco or FFH. And they redeemed all 3 beautifully to me
There was nothing wrong with the 3rd movie

It's the first time I've ever seen something like this, multiple actors portraying the same character being shown together.

Well yea cause I watched it in 4dx
That first fight was incredible. When Tom’s Spidey keeps punching him desperately in the face and Goblins’s looking up at him laughing with that maniacal grin. Shit was terrifying. Dafoe put his whole foot in that role🦶
This was the strongest Green Goblin I've seen. He felt terribly menacing, especially that he picked up were the other villains couldn't and was on the verge of winning
About as strong as captain america
He origin is like captain America, made with super solider serum from oscorp in SM1
@@almalone3282 he's stronger than captain America. Spider man is stronger than captain America lol.
@@anthonyduran6387 comics yea but not mcu

You missed the best part of him saving MJ, he does like a dry cry after he realizes she is fine, finally forgiving himself, was pure chef's kiss. They really nailed the arcs for all three of the Spiderman. Tobey gets to save Tom from becoming the monster he became, amazing.
I'm honestly shocked that they perfectly made arcs for absolutely all of the heroes and villains in this film. That's a huge accomplishment in film making right? Not even Endgame did character arcs this well.
Tom finally became his own man, escaping the image of Tony and becoming the true "friendly neighborhood Spiderman."
Andrew redeemed his former mistake, a mistake that led him down a dark path where he (based on that one line about not pulling his punches anymore) came insanely close to making mistakes he couldn't redeem or forgive himself for.
And as you said, Tobey saved Tom from becoming the "villian" he himself became later on in his story.
Obviously every villain has their own arc but.. there's a lot of them so it'd be a really long comment if I kept this trend up.
I generally enjoyed this movie and it warmed my heart when I saw Andrew and Tobey. It was as if I was revisiting my childhood! I hope they make more!
Peter rehabilitating the villains is literally the most Spider-Man thing ever, don't see what the problem is
Your talking to the guy who thought Superman was potrayed well in man of steel so no shock he has a problem with that.
Right
Venom said something about having hive knowledge that spanned across universes, maybe he shares memories with alternate versions of venom and that's why he knows who Peter is. He could be linked to versions of him and that's why he left part of himself in the MCU.
yup when he explains part of the venom history to Eddie he tells them that all the venoms share memories thats outside of space time
Venom: The End flashbacks oh boy..
Hype aside I am glad they are keeping that.
Am I the only person that really disliked the Venom films? I felt no enjoyment finding out that Venom was gonna be MCU because I simply find Tom Hardy's Venom insufferable.
@@SuperMurray2009 Its the only way they can do the black suit storyline without rebooting Venom again
@@shaylus_4158 No. That is not the only way. Did you forget Topher Grace was Venom in Spiderman 3?
In his defense, I think strange was kinda like “ you’ve been through enough “ and based on his conversation with Wong, he’s done this before with no problems. So it was light work until Peter kept adding on.
Exactly, maybe it narratively could have been executed just a bit better, but I think they’re a little too ruffled up about it. We understand that to Strange, this isn’t a big deal, and that he DEFINITELY wants to immediately fix the issue as soon as it arises, and we also understand Peter and May’s much more human and mortal perspective on things. I think it’s all fine.
Don't think you can try and justify it, it's just bad writing.
I dont know how I'll watch another spiderman film without all three of them together! The chemistry was perfect! Left me wanting more!
I love how they worked in the Spider-Man pointing meme. "Hey Peter!" *All three look up and point at each other* Had me laughing so hard 🤣
Also they kinda had the great power in Amazing Spider-Man but they did it in a really strange way
Yeah I didn't catch that on the first viewing lol. Funny scene
It was also in the credit animation
Absolutely loved the chemistry between Andrew and Tobey it felt so natural, it was so damn satisfying to watch them together
Also, Garfield’s spiderman was done justice (finally)
I believe that after the Loki series happened the universes in the multiverse started to drift closer to each other. A memory wipe spell that earlier was pretty easy/safe to do became very risky.
Tobey’s performance was so good. Brought so much joy for me to see him in the OG Spider-Man suit. He started it all, so glad to see this movie doing Justice to him
