Fun little detail: Doctor Strange mentions a "Situation with *Spider-Man* " at the beginning because he doesn't know who Peter Parker is, so he only knows that he met Spider Man.
Literally the first time he meets Peter Parker, Peter says “I’m Peter, by the way”. Did you watch Infinity War? It was a whole joke even present in the trailers for the film: “Oh we’re using our made up names? Then I’m Spider-Man.”
@@drawmelikeafrenchgirl If you watched No Way Home, you would know that Doctor Strange made everyone forget who Peter Parker is, but everyone knows about Spider Man. This included Doctor Strange, thus him calling it "A situation"
100% Elizabeth was the gold of this movie, she was so amazing I love the Carrie look on her she played her part so well, I hope we get more from her in the future, maybe in a future x men film
Definitely hope to see John Krasinski be the MCU Reed Richards. Still think he's perfect for the role. Same with Anson Mount as Black Bolt. The fact that they mention inhumans in this film was cool too.
I dont think he’s coming back I think they used that movie to kill those actors off but let viewers see them on screen. Also I dont think they will ever bring black bolt to the main mcu
The Inhumans comic book in the 70s was a top seller and was light years past the corny TV show. But to stretch Richard's to death after 2 previous shytty versions of Fantastic Four movie attempts....dont sound like a good way to introduce the master scientist to us before the new version of F4 comes out next year. No matter what universe.
I love the homage’s to both Evil Dead and Carrie in this movie. Also John Krasinski as Reed Richards. Reed Richards is one of the most important characters within The Marvel Multiverse. Also this movie shows just how scary powerful Wanda is
@@megamikethemovieman me personally it really depends on my mood. 28:05 In case people didn't remember, that was a throwback to the first Doctor Strange when Strange was fighting Kaecilius. Strange grabs the pot and aims it which causes Kaecilius to brace himself before he quips "You have no idea how to use that, do you?"
@@5pointview717 I believe this Christine was more knowledgeable than our Christine. With her Multiverse smarts and Illuminati access. She even knew what the pot's name was.
I like the fact that dreams are just a multiverse. It makes Tony's little rant about his dream at the beginning of infinity war about how him and Pepper had a kid and it seemed so real so much better because it means out there somewhere that is real and they got a happier ending.
Well of course there is a happier ending as statistically speaking (when you remove actor contracts) there should be far more universes where Tony either uses his first snap to make himself or the Ironman suit immune to the backlash or afterwards, the other Avengers realize, oh wait we have a time stone that could be used to restore Tony just like Thanos brought Vision back with it when Wanda destroyed him to destroy the stone he had.
To answer Joe's question about the black captain marvel. That was Maria Rambeau. She was the test pilot friend to Carol Danvers in the Captain Marvel movie. Her daughter is Monica Rambeau who showed up in Wandavision and gained powers herself passing through the barrier of the town wanda took over too many times. In the comics she has gone by the name photon and even carried the Captain Marvel name for a while
I was able to stay fully spoiler-free when going into this, and when Krasinski as Reed Richards is revealed and I FLIPPED. And when Patrick Stewart… aahhh…. Loved it. That was awesome.
Yup I don’t watch trailers or anything, wasn’t until after that I was told that Professor X was in the trailer! I would’ve been so mad if that got spoiled
The “Evil Strange”(one with the three eyes) isn’t the what if, what if strange’s Palmer died during the crush(the difference from regular universe was that Palmer went with him to the event and she was in the car during the crash) and he worked his way to trying to revive her. The evil strange said that he saw his Palmer get married and move on without him and he looked for a universe with he was with her instead, it didn’t work lol incursion happened.
Omg it Was so creepy when sinister strange said I will give you the dark cold for Christine Palmer, imagine of Doctor Strange said OK lol and left Christian Palmer and that really creepy scary sanctum
Yeah, kinda cringed at them thinking it's Supreme Strange, even if they don't remember much about What If it's pretty obvious. What If/Supreme Strange is several magnitudes of power stronger than ANYONE in this movie except maybe Scarlet Witch but he could've given even her a run for her money. He would've clapped MCU Strange in literal seconds. I mean FFS he literally deleted his entire universe lmao. Multiverse of Madness Strange was NOT the cause of his universes collapse.
I feel like the dark strange at the destroyed world is the future version of our strange, because they both began in cristine's wedding but the dark version is obsessed with the "are you happy?" question
Whatever version of Strange it is, what it's definitely NOT is the What If Strange. That Strange (AKA Supreme Strange) is way stronger than everyone in this movie except maybe Scarlett Witch. He would've decimated MCU Strange in seconds.
It was hella lame when they could have gone full out, all movie we mostly get wanda shooting lasers and other generic stuff outside the horror sequences, and here we have AN EVIL STRANGE POWERED BY THE BOOK OF THE DAMNED and the FORMER SORCERER SUPREME and they just throw notes at each for a like 30 seconds? Really? They did magic hella lame, wanda can BEND REALITY, she turns mr fantastic into swiss cheese with a thought, and removes Blackbolts mouth, but suddenly she has a problem killing someone as measly as captain Carter?
@@scoutalejan8259 why? She literally wants nothing more than to get the book and is mercilessly slaughtering everyone, do you think she would bother wasting time to let strange get away?
3 scenes stayed in my head the most after the movie. Strange and America flying through universes, Scarlet Witch vs Illuminati, Strange vs Strange with magic music :)
I’m regards to 11:09 the “African American” lady who played Captain Marvel has been in Marvel movies before. Her name is Lashana Lynch, she played Maria Rambeau in the Captain Marvel movie.
I'm kinda surprised Vision isn't in this. Besides mentioning him getting killed by Thanos, he's just not there. I know Wanda cares about her kids but she loved Vision as well. Considering the kids are the exact same ones from WandaVision, no Vision in a multiverse movie like this just doesn't seem to make much sense. Like Vision could have been in that other universe Earth-838, just without the mind stone (given they found a way to remove it in there version of Infinity war). It would have been so impactful if both Wanda and Vision of that universe confronted the Scarlet Witch. Its disappointing they didn't even go that route or even provide anything on what happened to that Universe's Vision. Overall I thought the movie had a lot of cool moments. The Horror scenes were definitely the highlight. Strange was cool as well, and I didn't mind American Chavez. Also, I thought Loki or Syvlie would have been in this or mentioned, given this is called Multiverse of Madness and they talked about Incursions within the multiverse, we just had a series with a similar premise I think.
Agreed completely. I was shocked Vision basically ignored Wanda going nuts and slaughtering 100’s of people in this, despite having flown off at the end of Wandavision, with his old memories intact / restored ?
I think either they couldn't get Paul Bettany back in time, or Wanda knew that any alternate Vision would likely oppose her plan just like the Hex Vision she herself created ultimately turned against her. His presence would've overcomplicated things.
Wandavision ends with her kinda coming to terms with pietro and vision (more vision) but she was definitely not over her children because they were a fresh wound.
To think they ACTUALLY SHOWED THE LIVING TRIBUNAL(when traversing the multiverse for the first time) and CLEA (mid-credits), HELL YEAH! Also, since we do not see Scarlet Witch's body, I am still hoping for a Cthone reveal!
If we had an extra 10-15 minutes with Iron Cruise and Dr Strange for some of it fighting Wanda and another evil Dr Strange would have been an epic perfect film
The alternative Captain Marvel was Carol's friend and fellow pilot from the CM movie. I was also hoping we would see a universe where Stephen's sister was Doctor Strange and HE was the one who had died when they were children.
One thing that I loved about blackbolt is when he executes Doctor Strange. His voice got so loud in the theater speakers, I felt like I was taking blackbolts scream 😂 Really hope we get more Inhumans and blackbolt, I don't know much about them but they seem dope
One thing I loved about Blackbolt was how much of a fucking chump he was. A man trained all his life to never make a sound unless it was intentional kills himself because he's stupidly screamed when his mouth was gone. 10/10
@@VexdinLord So having a normal human reaction to something so unexpected and terrifying is being a chump? Can people make up your minds. One problem I have with the movie is that more than any other time in the MCU it feels like we skipped a whole film. Because we only ever see Mordo leave Strange at the end of his film and his first villainous act is in its mid-credit scene yet Strange brings up this history of animosity between the two that we've never seen or heard of in the MCU before this point. It legit feels like there was a whole second Dr. Strange movie where Mordo is the villain that we just never got to see and this is the supposed to be the third one because this is literally the first time the guy has been seen or mentioned in the MCU since the first Dr. Strange film.
Completely agree. I felt so lost in this movie. Like I had to remember events from Loki, WandaVision, Endgame, and Dr Strange 1 to understand what was happening then also get to know a new character. Then Wanda as the villain didn’t make much sense because vision is still alive (kinda)
He was supposed to be in this movie (the version of Mordo of the first movie) but they cut his scenes, he was supposed to have a scene with Wanda the beginning of the film, the scene is that he tries to stop her and has a fight with her but Wanda kills him by cutting his head off.
Blackbolt is my favorite character of all time, literally have multiple tattoos of him in the comics, his brief screen time was awesome and despite him dying, I am so excited to see if they bring the Inhumans into Earth 616 fully. Literally, just seeing him, I can overlook anything bad in the movie, call me biased...
There was an inhumans tv show that was supposed to be in the mcu but it bombed so it got cancelled after one season. The actor who played black bolt in the show also played him in this movie though which is cool.
The music scene was interesting. I feel like it's something I would have an issue with but I liked it. I liked how it was actually tied into the music it was just quite cool. I rationalized it as it was easy for him to cast those spells because of the music sheets/instruments around him.
I died laughing when Joe stopped Joe and said, no, it’s not Professor X, it was Sir Patrick Steward. If you’ve seen their Picard reviews you know why that moment was hilarious!
I loved seeing Professor X, but apparently Patrick Steward got very old the last few years. It really shows. He does not act anymore because I fear he can't. It's so sad to seem him like that.
@@SurataV It’s sad but true. I’m glad we got to see him in the role again, but if they use the character in future films, I hope they use James McAvoy instead, or just recast the role.
Wanda's realisation wasn't about the fact that she'd never hurt anyone - it was about the fact that she could not, in that moment, bring herself to call herself a mother to these children; the realisation that she was not a mother and had never been one. A moment of clarity in her clouded delusion.
When they introduced the dreamwalking spell, I thought the twist they were going for would be that 616 Wanda wasn’t actually 616 Wanda, but possessed by another Wanda from elsewhere in the multiverse.
If it gives you peace, I think he was trying to free that Wanda from the witche’s control. But wasn’t able to in time before she got him. But in a straight up death battle. Charles would have been able to hold his own way longer
Anyone notice the Terminator 1 reference? When Wanda is chasing after Dr. Strange and the others underground. It mirrored the scenes from when the T-800 was chasing Sarah Connor, like how Wanda was limping and how her eyes were lit red. Also she was crushed to death, like the T - 800. Gotta give Sam Raimi or whoever thought of that credit.
@@Haze194 ikr she could of also force grabbed them, also strange didn't do shit when he saw her behind him lmao, but the only explanation I could think of is that in her mind she knew there was no stopping her and that she wants to inspire fear in them, especially stargirl
The roughly 5 minutes of screentime we got of John Krasinski as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic was legitimately better than all 3 of the live-action Fantastic Four movies combined.
I still really liked it, but by no means is it a masterpiece. I'm curious about the original script where nightmare was the main villain. I think it was a huge mistake to not have some kind of big bad pulling her strings(nightmare, mephisto, Shuma gorath, or cathone ) all would have been awesome to see. Imagine Sam Remy directing terrifying nightmares throughout the movie leading Wanda to do all the messed up things she did. And imagine a rated R full on trippy horror (without the campy normal MCU tone). It was still great but fuck.... It could be soooooo much better
I was mad at first seeing Wanda as a full villain, but after seeing how fucking badass and terrifying she was, I was all in. I loved how she just wrecked the Illuminati. I would say she’s the most scary, complex, and sympathetic MCU villain to date. As a mother myself, my heart still broke for her in the end. I LOVED the Evil Dead vibe some of the scenes had. My ONLY gripe is that we had Bruce Campbell, but we didn’t get a goddamn Ash Williams cameo. It’s even canon in the comics! It was a missed opportunity IMO. Other than that, I loved it. 9/10 for me. I would love to see a directors cut since they apparently cut out a good 40 minutes
Nahhh, Wanda was really cool but Thanos is still the best villain for me, every villain want to help himself, his family, his people or is just evil, Thanos wanted what is best for every living thing in our universe, and that's what makes him the most unique for me.
It's no longer Wanda though remember, the Darkhold had changed her completely and amplified her sorrow. Vision (even the new duplicated White Vision) not having magic capabilities wouldn't have been able to detect her in her own pocket reality apply orchard.
Using Illuminati as X-Force was a hell of a shocking yet hilarious moment, especially since they really downplayed the threat of Scarlet Witch like it was totally manageable. (Unlike X-Force did with Cable)
A seasoned Prof. X like in this movie wouldve and shouldve 100% put up a better fight than that. I can see S Witch winning for the sake of the plot but I agree they've should've battled.

One thing that I noticed that was interesting is that each Dr Strange used a different color magic. The Strange from the intro used blue and used some Ice Magic. The Sinister Strange(?) used Purple Magic, and of course our OG Strange uses the Orange Magic. I don't remember if the Doctor Strange killed by Black Bolt was even show doing Magic.
I believe its to do with the source of power. Sinister Strange uses purple magic the same as Agatha Harkness because both of their powers stems from the Darkhold. Im not sure why Defender Strange's powers are blue but it could just be because he's using more defensive spells hence his name
It pisses me off how neutered Dr. Strange is in the MCU. I am not even referring to the "Classic" version who is basically on-par with the classic beyonders, but the current version who even (temporaryly) attained God-level strength! Also, I hoped that Dr. Strange would get the power of the Vashanti's, one of his OG sources of strength in the comics.

Why do you want to see her say “no more mutants?” That ship has sailed. Hey aren’t going to introduce mutants just to have Wanda will them away immediately. You’ll be waiting at least 10 more years
They mean at least something along the lines of that. The biggest speculative request is that she does the reverse and says, "Let there be mutants." or something similar.
My biggest problem with this is how the smartest human ever(Reed)...who knows about wanda and her powers... decides its smart to tell Wanda about and how to stop Black Bolt...
Ultimate Strange knew he had to die because he took it upon himself to be corrupted by the darkhold enough to beat their Thanos. But needed to be killed to prevent the darkhold from taking over. In doing all that, he caused some other universes to collapse and also would have needed to be held accountable for that.
I thought the musical fight was my favorite part. It was so creative. And mostly because I recognized some of the songs used. I for sure heard Bach's Toccata and Fugue which is so fitting for a horror element. And maybe even some Mahler. It was GREAT.
Also a fun note: The Brazier Christine uses is a fun callback to the first movie, when Strange is fighting Kaecilius for the first time and grabs the same Brazier, which freaks Kaecilius out, following with: "You dont know how to use it do you?". The Brazier moment in MoM shows exactly why he freaked out when Strange grabbed it initially.
I guess ya'll missed it but when they introduced Professor X they played the 80s cartoon XMen theme song as he rolled onto the stage. This movie was awesome.
I never realized how strong black bolt's suit was. I mean obviously they made it that way so it wouldn't be full on gore, but still, it contained the power of his scream.
An important part about Clea's character other then the fact that she married Strange is that she is the Niece of Dormammu and is in line to rule the Dark Dimension.
I love the little horror elements in this, thanks Raimi. When I was younger reading my uncles old comic collection OG Strange had horror elements in it, it is great to come back to that in this movie :P
That Strange V Strange fight was one of my favs, though I get why people would say it went on too long. I study EEG, however, and a FREQUENT comparison brought up when discussing oscillations of waves is either fans clapping in a stadium or an orchestra playing in concert; discordant notes in either setting create a jumbled mess of noise, but intentional timing between notes projects much more amplitude or cohesion in the sound to either create structure shaking vibrations (a stadium clapping in unison) or a Beethoven symphony (when an orchestra plays a piece in timed succession). That duel of notes was exactly this and I loved it, especially that final note throwing everything into chaos.
I thought it should have been longer with original music, one darker vibes, the other more beautiful sounding and pleasant, big crescendo. It was kinda uninspired musically, there fo power dropped the ball for sure. The fact that it happened was awesome and super creative, love the moment just not the actual music
@@heythere6983 For sure the music should have been played up way more. Even after I picked up on the oscillation vibes it took me a moment to realize the music within the attacks was separate from the score.
My biggest problem with the film is Wanda's motivation. After what happened in Wandavision this feels like a character involution. I mean, in Wandavision she already had what she's looking for in this movie and she ended it all because it wasn't real and she didn't want to hurt innocent people... just to go full murderer slasher style in this movie. And then at the end she has a change of heart AGAIN. It feels inconsistent. It feels like Wanda and America, exist not as characters but as plot devices. There's a ton of cool moments and visually impressive scenes, but the story feels like an excuse to go from one to another, when it should be the other way
Exactly!!! The resolution to the interdimensional threat was Dr. Strange telling America YOU CAN DO IT and than Wanda seeing her kids get scared of her. Really Stupid
It was explicitly explained in the movie and in Wandavision. She got hold of The Darkhold during Wandavision after she defeated Agnes. The book basically corrupts everything it comes into contact with.
Yeah America felt more like a plot device rather than an actual character. And Wanda's heel turn was something that should have developed as the movie progressed.
@@talentlessartist7929 barely. She could also redo Westview wich would be a lot easier than this. And it's kinda of bad excuse for changing a character's personality and motivation.
I love when movies/games do creative things with music. I liked the music fight, but I personally thought it was out of place. After the horror scenes we just had, they throw in a funny/cool music fight? I wish it was at the beginning of the movie instead of at that point. And one thing I kinda hated was how Scarlet Witch is defeated. It's pretty much a Wonder Woman 84 ending (which was so stupid). I was hoping for some Wanda vs Wanda action but nope.
I actually enjoyed the music fight a lot. I take your point about it being of a lower scale than that before or after, but a breather isn't necessarily a bad thing. But in terms of them choosing to use music notes, I saw it more as good Strange grasping at whatever he had to use as a weapon, and evil Strange trying to make a point by using that weapon back at him. It was basically a battle of the egos.
It was actually super creative! I'm surprised they dismissed it. the music in the notes of the battle were embedded in the score. You can hear the 3D audio changing positions in the cinema. Truly something ripped out of a doctor strange comic made into a 3D sequence. Its such a small fight but displays how trippy and awesome doctor strange is as a character.
I like the movie but the storyline just seems kinda silly. Wanda was part of the Avengers and fought alongside Dr Strange against Thanos twice. Now she just goes out and kills hundreds of sorcerors to find some kids thats not even hers? It makes no sense. Way to ruin a good character Marvel.
She was forced to kill Vision for what she thinks is no reason. She's been losing sanity ever since. Then WandaVision happens, she's already evil there. She loses her kids, gets corrupted by Darkhold. Now she's completely unhinged.
To be fair, surely it would have been easier for Wanda to just get pregnant instead of invading a bunch of different realities. Would have been alot less hassle
Pregnant to who?? Vision, as far as she knows, is completely gone and even then: Vis is an Android so she can't have real children with him. And this was explored in the comics: she goes insane when Mephisto shows up and absorbs her kids back into him no?
The music fight was probably the best part of the movie for me! Alex is dead wrong here, it was very innovative and one of the more creative moments in the film!!
Angry Joe you got it right with the 9 man! There is way to much cool stuff going not to mention how well shot this was along with Danny Elfman score not sure what people didn’t like
I think the film works a little better as the equivalent of a TV movie, finishing the ending to tv series, in this case WandaVision. Not necessarily the ending I’d have gone for, but I still loved the film so I can’t really complain. The Illuminati scene is entertaining just for how full of themselves most of the members are. I think a lot of fans are gonna hate it though for Reed alone.
I agree. It’s messed up because this is a DR STRANGE sequel. This movie ties up Wandavision and What if…. If someone watched this right after Dr. Strange 1 they’d be like WTF?!?!

I wish we could have gotten some sort of variant of Iron Man, preferably the one played by Tom Cruise suggested by old rumors, would have been awesome but cruel if Wanda crushed him inside of his greatest creation!
But the truth is that was always the most sensible logical thing to do... Wanda is unstoppable and this power is on the same level if not worst than the infinity gauntlet... So even chancing wanda getting her hands on it is absurdly irrisponsible, we see it in the first scene of the movie that her death in the grand calculous is justified And choosing the many over the few is arguably one of the biggest foundations of messing with the multiverse... Hence The whole of The Watchers character
I still can't fathom why the movie didn't explore wanda's fall into the darkness and starts killing people indiscriminately when her character development is literally against killing people, especially during civil war. I get that the darkhold corrupts the mind and eventually made her do all those things, but I'd like to see why and how she succumbed to it instead of her being a villain right away. Because when my friends watched it, they told me that they can't sympathize with wanda because the movie never got a chance to explain how she went crazy Edit: i get that she wants the kids, but we know wanda wouldn't go as far as to kill people without having her to reflect on it, which she never did throughout the movie
This is exactly what my problem was. They had a whole show based upon her tryna have a family, in the end finally accepts what she can't have. But, now they based a whole movie on her tryna get to kids in a diff universe. Kills a whole bunch of ppl and STILL ends up alone/dead? Like idk man, there was a lot going on
Completely agreed, she resolved her grief and accepted responsibility at the end of Wandavision but one cutscene of her reading the darkhold as justification for her bonkers is just really poor story telling
The thing I liked about the music fight was in the original Doctor Strange started with Strange and the surgeon team doing some classical music trivia game and it throws back to that concept in a way.
The fact that they mentioned Incursions already had me hyped for Secret Wars in the future. But seeing how Disney/Marvel is going along with their Disney+ and delays of future films, has me worried that Phase 4 is gonna be a mess. And after seeing MOM it was a mess. Fun to watch! But a Mess. So much was mentioned from the comics and what had already happened, that it got my hopes up.
Maybe I'll like it more on rewatch but the initial reaction is a 6-7/10... The plot felt very convenient in parts, the CGI was bad in some spots, it felt like the action and especially Strange's powers were way weaker in this movie and I strongly disliked the acting from America.
I agree with Alex earlier on the non spoiler review, the tone was a bit confusing. It couldn't keep it consistently. The other is with Reed Richards, one of the smartest man alive just told Wanda, a current threat, the source of power of Black Bolt which got him killed. Don't get me wrong they would've died regardless but even in battle you don't tell the enemy what you or your allies are capable of that's just a dumb strategy. That was some anime writing men. But I'll put it that Reed doesn't prefer violence and tried his best to do it peacefully by trying to intimidate Wanda enough for her to back off and it backfired quite horribly.
In their universe they don’t know of scarlet witch or what she’s capable of. The council focuses on strange as the bad guy. So it makes sense that mentioning bolt’s power wouldn’t be perceived to be a danger. Scarlet was clearly OP in that scene but I think rightfully so.
I thought the movie made it very clear they under estimated the danger from their own experience with strange and Wanda. a. Thinking strange was the biggest threat making them not listen to reason and b. Thinking Wanda would be reasoned with or not capable of defeating them because they was clearly ill-informed of how powerful she is with the darkhold
Yeah, but we can all agree the movie was awesome. Hope they bring back the Illuminati though, that Black Bolt costume looked great and was pleasantly surprised they brought back the guy who played him in Inhumans despite that show being ummm, well it wasn't a great show.
So many moments in this movie made me go 👀. My absolute favorite moment was when Strange, while dream-walking in the corpse of his doppelgänger from another universe, channels THE SOULS OF THE DAMNED to fly across the stark-white void of Wundergor towards Wanda.
I agree with Alex, let Raimi be Raimi. I think that's what I was also missing from the movie. But be warned: When Raimi is Raimi you get the dance sequence in Spiderman 3
Besides the battle scenes, might favor part was when Strange and Chavez falling through the difference universes, they kinda teased Namor with the "ocean world"
People just need to remember cuz you see those characters get folded doesn’t mean they are perma dead. They were all just variants of the actual characters (like reed richards) the F4 film is still coming for people that forgot
Funny how he mentioned the Deadites :D Anyway, I was surprise they didn't went the route of the villain being a mystery until its revealed to be Scarlet Witch from another universe, which was great.
I am surprised you didn't mention that win the post credit scene when that portal is opened, the effects are the same one from the first Dr. Strange movie where he went to the realm of Dormmau (I think that was the name)
I wish there was more multiverse stuff. More alternate characters. Perhaps the movie was over hyped in that sense, as there were SO many rumours and some of them sounded badass. It's the multiverse of madness after all. Go ALL out! I want cameos and alternate heroes/villains everywhere. The ones we got were cool but not enough for me personally. It's still a great movie though.
@@mickeymouse7726 I agree. I liken MoM to Civil War: it has all those fun fan service moments for fans, but it straight up is about Steven Strange and his struggles.
Maybe I've just been watching too much Rick and Morty, but if the multiverse is infinite, why would Wanda choose a universe where she was still alive? Just find a universe where the boys are there, but the Wanda of that Universe recently got killed and just slide in to take her place. That plan is at least marginally less evil!
Remember she can only see alternate universes where she exists when she sleeps. And she can't visit them safely without America Chavez's powers. So, if there does exists such a universe where she is dead, she needs those powers to find it.
Exactly. I don’t buy the Wanda is evil narrative of this movie. Like there has not been enough time to develop that character change. Last time we saw her she sacrificed the existence of her children to save innocent lives. To go from that to her murdering everyone for the kids doesn’t add up.
@@DanandRickinthebasement She sacrificed her fake children to save innocent lives that she was threatening to begin with. How much more literally evil do you need Wanda to be before you admit that she was evil?
Octopus eye got pull out. Bruce Campbell cameo. Patrick Stewart reprise his role of Professor X in the yellow hoverchair from the 90's X-Men cartoon. Scarlet Witch came out of the mirror. The music notes. Zombies. And a post credit scene.
Loved it was also hoping to see more Mordo. I think they just cut his story. I expected him to be the main villain in the sequel. Well Dr. Strange does like an offhand comment on Mordo to agitate 838 Mordo, the way he mentions it. It sounds they already dealt with Mordo in their Universe. Concerning Christine, I feel she pretty much became a Dr. Strange expert. That's how she knew about that mystic arrofact. She even envented the magic lock cuffs and what not. Love the Campbell cameo, classic call back to Evil Dead too. Definitely need another rewatch.
The way Wanda pulled a fucking Omni Man was amazing. I also really how the scene went. I think it was more a commentary of the superhero movie genre and the MCU as a hole. When the Illuminati entered the frame they were posing, looking heroic and cocky. Even with Black Bolts arm crossed and smirk. It basically threw all of that out of the window. Wanda didnt want to talk or hold back, she just wanted to kill anyone in her way. People look at this scene as wasting the characters but I really loved that scene, and Black Bolts death was so brutal, super brutal for a pg-13 movie, really pushing it.
I wish that was Shuma Gorath. That was something that looked like, but wasn't Shuma Gorath. Shuma Gorath is a cosmic level threat. Incredibly powerful psychic and telekinetic on top of being immortal.
@@greggtheegg1976 I think they do but didn't probably want the hassle of double-checking things. They still use "Shuma" elsewhere. Probably a bureaucracy thing
The best way I can describe this movie is, “what if the evil dead met the MCU” because the entire time I watched the movie I just kept thinking the evil dead the horror aspects of 1, the comedic bits of 2 and evil of darkness, and we even get a cameo of ash himself Bruce Campbell also had an evil book that will corrupt you the longer you hold onto it over all the more it felt like evil dead the more I found myself enjoying it more then if it was just a marvel movie. Idk I think this is one of those movies that it really feels very much like the director, which is great since MCU movies have started to feel very by the numbers the issue I found it the multiverse part, idk we kinda only visit 4 one is super long the other is a blink and you miss it and the last one is dealing with dark strange. But very much lacking the whole multiverse bit maybe just doctor strange and the evils of the darkhold (?) something idk it was good overall glad sam got to put his big into a MCU movie
Usually agree with Alex but I think his opinion on the music fight contradicts what he says about Sam Raimi. He wanted the movie to be more like a Sam Raimi film but the music fight was the most Raimi like scene. Just seems like he thinks he wanted more Raimi but actually didn’t.
I thought John Krasinski as Reed Richards was hilarious because people have been fancasting him for years, and they finally got what they wanted only for him to be killed off 2 minutes later
America being able to control her powers so completely at the end ripped me out of the movie, how tf did she know where Wanda's alternate family lived? How did she know where to find strange. God it was stupid.
The biggest question that I have for Marvel is, why did they release Wandavision and Dr. Strange so far apart? Wouldn't it have made more sense for Wandavision to have Boba Fett's release slot on Disney +? I didn't remember Strange was even involved or knew about Wanda and that town.
it was Covid related, Strange was meant to appear in the end credits of Wandavision (timings didn't work out) and DS2:MoM was supposed to come out earlier

@ 11:19, Blackagar Boltagon was a neat li'l Easter Egg for us fans who sat through Inhumans. And for the select few of us who actually went to the IMAX premiere of the first two episodes in theaters. There were a bunch of neat li'l cameos and references for the diehard fans. Not only do we get to see Anson Mount reprising his role as Black Bolt from The ABC series Inhumans, but we also get the Darkhold. Which originally appeared in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Runaways. But it did have a slightly different design/origin than the one from WandaVision.
We have seen references in the films from these forgotten shorts and series before though. James D'Arcy appeared in Avengers: Endgame, reprising his role of Edwin Jarvis from the ABC series Agent Carter. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings references the Marvel One-Shot All Hail The King. The Roxxon Energy Corporation, which was featured in the films Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and Iron Man 3; made appearances in the Marvel One-Shot A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer, the ABC series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, the Netflix series Daredevil, the Freeform series Cloak & Dagger, the Hulu series Helstrom, and the Disney+ series Loki. And of course, the 2 most popular/obvious ones: Vincent D'Onofrio reprising his role of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin from the Netflix series Daredevil in the Disney+ series Hawkeye and Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil from the Netflix series Daredevil and The Defenders in Spider-Man: No Way Home..

How was Vision or Quicksilver not in this movie? All that trauma and she just wanted to still some fake kids she made up in another universe?
I think either they couldn't get Paul Bettany back in time, or Wanda knew that any alternate Vision would likely oppose her plan just like the Hex Vision she herself created ultimately turned against her. His presence would've overcomplicated things.
That soul stone combined with that advanced A.I. probably made him realize something we don't know.
Wandavision ends with her kinda coming to terms with pietro and vision (more vision) but she was definitely not over her children because they were a fresh wound.

Nahhh, Wanda was really cool but Thanos is still the best villain for me, every villain want to help himself, his family, his people or is just evil, Thanos wanted what is best for every living thing in our universe, and that's what makes him the most unique for me.
Fuck no they made her character go a full 180
I agree about ash williams that would of been epic. Maybe they don't have the rights?
It's no longer Wanda though remember, the Darkhold had changed her completely and amplified her sorrow. Vision (even the new duplicated White Vision) not having magic capabilities wouldn't have been able to detect her in her own pocket reality apply orchard.
"Mother" her kids were her imagination, LMAO. Imagine going on a murder spree because of some daydream you had.

This movie was fantastic... When Zombie Strange had controlled the skeletons and they turned into a dark cape and then he flew... that was Savage!

Yeah I heard the opening motif from the Toccata too. I thought that was clever. The rest I didn't fully get in all the confusion. Lol

@@heythere6983
For sure the music should have been played up way more.
The dark hold corrupted her. They did address this.
The film is called multiverse of MADNESS, not multiverse of horror
the music fight came from reshoots so makese sense that you felt it was out of place, personally i liked it
I like the movie but the storyline just seems kinda silly.

Dude strange is like she is coming and is going to kill you. They all laugh it off. It was truly madness
It’s kinda like the comics tho right? Aren’t they always messing up anyways

People sleeping on the fact that Wong said to kill the girl at the end of the movie 🤣 "it's the only way!"
I forgot about that 😭😭
Hahaha, yeah. In the context of the film, the audience overlooks it. I guess the Sorcerer Supreme needs to make the tough calls, lol.
But the truth is that was always the most sensible logical thing to do... Wanda is unstoppable and this power is on the same level if not worst than the infinity gauntlet...
So even chancing wanda getting her hands on it is absurdly irrisponsible, we see it in the first scene of the movie that her death in the grand calculous is justified
And choosing the many over the few is arguably one of the biggest foundations of messing with the multiverse... Hence The whole of The Watchers character
Well...in the grand calculus of the multiverse her sacrifice would save trillions
Because when my friends watched it, they told me that they can't sympathize with wanda because the movie never got a chance to explain how she went crazy
Edit: i get that she wants the kids, but we know wanda wouldn't go as far as to kill people without having her to reflect on it, which she never did throughout the movie
her pysche got broken in wandavision, then the darkhold got in her head turning her full villain.
You gotta watch her show WandaVision
This is the same Wanda who put an entire town through torture to be happy with her husband. The people of the town even said they were in great pain.
Yep
Agreed
Reeds very smart but really arrogant. It’s his downfall.
Tell me you need to be spoonfed obvious reasons for a character's actions, without telling me lmfao
Besides the battle scenes, might favor part was when Strange and Chavez falling through the difference universes, they kinda teased Namor with the "ocean world"
How is that a Namor reference? He's not from an ocean world.

Maybe I've just been watching too much Rick and Morty, but if the multiverse is infinite, why would Wanda choose a universe where she was still alive? The way Wanda pulled a fucking Omni Man was amazing. I also really how the scene went. I think it was more a commentary of the superhero movie genre and the MCU as a hole. When the Illuminati entered the frame they were posing, looking heroic and cocky. Even with Black Bolts arm crossed and smirk. It basically threw all of that out of the window. Wanda didnt want to talk or hold back, she just wanted to kill anyone in her way.
The Captain Marvel in illuminate was Monica Rambou from the first Captain Marvel film she was also the new 007 in No Time To Die
