To be fair, I was 17 when I started university (December birthday) and I was flirting with 20-23 year olds in my classes. Probably shouldn’t have been but it didn’t seem like an age gap because we were both in our first year at school
@@maijashea that may have been the case but I feel like once the older people you were flirting with knew your age, they should have most definitely done something - be that distance themselves or make it clear that that was not okay. The minor is never the one to blame in the situation no matter who instigated it, it’s the adults responsibility to make sure things like that don’t happen.

It's okay to call things what they are - racist, misogynist, etc. There's no need to use euphemistic language like "offensive" or "inappropriate." That language doesn't accurately reflect the gravity of the prejudices it describes
You also have consider whose feelings you're protecting with said euphemisms. It's an attempt to not upset or incite bigots but if you're gonna speak up for what's right you have to follow all the way through

I agree but at the same time you have to realize that saying those things might blind the bigot beyond reason. An easy example of what I'm trying to say is flat earthers. If you're trying to make an argument that the Earth is round or at least the flat earther should consider their position, you don't start out with "the Earth is round and you are ignorant for not knowing this." It's true, and gets the point across, but as soon as they hear that they're gonna block you out and not listen to anything else you have to say
Similarly if you start by calling a bigot offensive they're going to question you and try and prove you wrong, but that opening is how you win

Hey Kurtis, as someone who has been a part of VHS collecting for a long time, please be aware that tapes should not be worth more than $1 or $2. There are some legitimately rare tapes out there that deserve their worth, but any other tape you find you should not be paying more than $2, especially Disney tapes. The people out there selling these things as "rare" are really destroying the community and those actually in the community do not support this. Sorry for the long comment! I'm not trying to be gatekeepy or anything, but this is a big problem with VHS collecting and I just want you to be aware for future reference. I love you

I went to school for kinesiology! It’s basically the study of movement, for lack of a better word. My major was called exercise science. I’m a clinical exercise physiologist, I’ve worked in cardiac rehab helping people recover after having a heart attack or heart surgery etc., and now I work in a fitness facility for people aged 50 and older who have a wide range of health issues and training ages.
Basically, I could help your dad with his bad back and his golf swing.

My family had a copy of the "phallic" little mermaid cover when we were younger. I don't think it was ever ~banned~ but (that I know of) it was recalled. I might be wrong though because I'm from England so it might have been a different situation in different areas of the world. I'm kinda sad we got rid of our copy
