Amazing job, Phil! 👍 Have you ever considered adding a folding fork attachment to the loader? It could provide even more versatility and convenience in handling silage. 🚜🍃🌾
Jay Phil, I found putting up silage with the Shovel a fantastic job, At the time walkman and headphones on, nice and calm., Sunroof open, doors open, tee shirt and shorts. What more could one ask for. Away in your own world. Though I did swap from time to time for a few loads with my brother who was also a dab hand at putting it up. So we got the odd run to the field, sometimes so as you could judge for yourself what is to come in or see what is left, Sometimes those drawing may not be the best judge of what is left. At the time I was on a Volvo BM loader. Lovely thing to drive. Low centre of gravity. Damm hard to even come close to turn it over. Lovely for packing (Rolling). I always had a sharp incline in the pit and near level on top until the end where I needed accurate measurements of what was left. But main reason was shorter push up and if you ever fell behind for whatever reason, very easy to knock a few loads twoards the front and lengthen the pit, never get in a jam then that way. Great video. Nice pit of stuff. Lovely shape at the end. Not sure if I hate the insta 360 or just take it or leave it. Not enamored by it. I see Gerry 6420 also uses it sparingly. Seems distorted and out of focus results. Like a bad fisheye lens and all the extra work in post processing and the price. A few remote located Go pro knock off's in a few places may do a better job. I know... Batteries and charge, but you can't win them all. Keep up the good work. Love the silage season.👍
Great video better weather for you as well.Hope your Hayfever is better that’s what I think you have.Going to sit down to watch our favourite farmers in the World 🌎.So so good luck.😅😅😅😅
Goodman phil, sum detail in that pit, uncle ian taught u well, very important job on the pit, great that you have all the help for the season, alot working getting done, keep videos coming
Great pit work, not the most craic or glamour job but the most important one. Also fair play to liv, ive been noticing the video descriptions recently. She should get a creative writing award 😂
Eh Phil Too many of the Finnigans and the Stewards beef ,make any man sleepy ,esp with the weather you’re getting, I think that the Kiwi Aussi way of light lunch and Dinner in the evening might work better What’s Rory’s opinion ?? We had a Kiwi lad from Hamilton working in 79 and one day in summer hand weeding sugar beet we lay on the head land after a big feed of spuds n beef + Dessert cooked by my Kiwi wife who is an excellent cook and I think we were found sleeping some time later Keep up the good work
What is it about us farmers that we have such a taboo about wearing sunshades / glasses & sunblock. There'd be no need for cataract surgery if shades were worn Happy Holiday 😊
On pit pit/clamp was my job from 15years old to my early 20’s… that was nearly 25 years ago….It has all changed in that time but at the same time it hasn’t…. CAT 910 pound for pound one of the best machines for its time
Sound is been drowned by machine sometimes and sometimes its hard to hear what you are saying, I was just thinking about how "Kates Agg" her sound seems to come from small mikes on her collor and is normally very clear, Have a look.

Rake man Eric did a cracking job with rowing up the man on the rake is key to no lumps and keep the job going
Fair dues to Bro 👍🏻
You need the sunnies this weather Phil weather is absolutely cracking! Your silage season seems like your flying!

Mighty weather altogether for the silage making, another great video on the channel 👍👍👍

Would your father not take a camera in harvester or go on the pit let you get some footage in it
Cracking job on that pit Phil. Not glamourous, not exciting, but definitely the most important job
Great job Phil👍

Nice well made pit well done Phil
Is that what you call a Irish hydraulic door on Livs trailer Phil good video enjoyed it
Good video Phil
Good video
Would you do bit on grass, like when it is at its best for cutting, when its gone to seed.. basically what to look for, whats good and whats not
That's one handy way of closeing a tail door 🤣. Noting worse than having to get out of the cab after each load
I see the Farmer has a Krone Round Pack Baler in the shed . Great baler 👌

Yes Cat 910/920 or Volvo L50 or L70. 4 great machines. CAT higher up Volvo lower to ground. Them were the days.
Your doing a great job there Phil.Keep up the good work.
Great job Phil👍Do you think you would ever get a folding fork for the loader?
Do you ever get to work the harvester?
no never
Hope your head cold is better...Patrick 135.....Ztr 8111
Good video Phil keep it up
How is the hay in may going
Would the silage at the back of the pit be ok or would the farmer not be better emptying the pit before starting fresh.
Tidy pit that Phil 👌
Not the most exciting but the most important part of making silage
Great video, no harm to finish in daylight… see how you’re doing on the finish.

If leftover silage there again next year just spread it across the floor and fill the pit over it
