i bought a few of these about 5 years ago , they work lovely , but it's sad that our Govs have both said "green" energy will give us cheap energy , so why are our electricity prices increasing all the time despite seeing that 99% of all UK energy companies are now 100% "green" . a simple quick search onto UK energy companies shows that 99% are now 100% green yet we're being forced to pay the world's highest electricity bills here . the same with Council Tax , in Spain , Portugal , France etc .... council / property Tax is about £200.00 a year , not a month , for a large 2 bed house . i think we're being made fools of here . this man has worked his whole life and shouldn't be worried about putting normal heating on . i use these tube heaters too .
Good choice. 60years ago my late uncle had 4 of them in his garage. Really took the edge off when he was working on the car. Very efficient. Good for reducing condensation. And you can safely leave them on all night. Good man.
You need to check your sums 80w is just under 2p per hour on a standard 24p per kWh rate and your rate is much higher. With two running, that’s more like 6p per hour so £10 per week for the same amount of heat as two 80w lightbulbs.
We use 12" tube heaters in the main bathroom and en-suite to stop the WC cistern and pan from freezing when we are away in winter, they work a treat and save us the hassle of draining everything down, as long as there are no power cuts!!!!!. Also we use a RING camera inside for security when we are away, but that needs an internet connection and subscription obviously. Table lamp and radio on a timer and motion sensor light(s) over the main door are effective and simple / cheap enough.
Hi when we go away we alwas get a timer plug and you can get it to come on in the evening so people will think you are still in your caravan hope you have a lovely weekend God's blessing to all your family x ❤
I got 2x 6 feet heaters that are 360w each, one for the bedroom one for living room in a one bed bungalow,uk made from Barnstaple in Devon we are tubular heaters. Absolutely brilliant.
Hi Ivan, I have tubular heaters, mine are longer than yours and a higher wattage. But mine are just on the window bottom to help with the cold from the windows and that is with me having double glazing. You are correct too that they are hot to touch. It's not cold yet just the slight drop in temperature so I will put mine on when it really does get cold
Loving the channel mate...we have our van in Skegness...no central heating tho....when do you move in to you small flat you mentioned ... sending much love Simon and Catherine xx❤
We also purchased an Eco Air DD1 Simple Blue MK3 Desiccant Dehumidifier Rotary Dial 7.5 L/Day 34 dB MK6 Blue £245.00 Amazon saves 40% on energy bills. They offer a similar item for £38.24 It’s ok for a small bedroom put it this way you get what you pay for. All the Best.
Hi Ivan are these safe to be left on for long periods of time and do they switch off when reached a certain tempture . Because we live in an old stone farm rented cottage which can get cold and damp over the winter period .
Sorry ivan 80 watt tube heaters total waste of money might as well light a candle or leave a light on. Like your optimism but unless your sat on them totally useless.
i hope it wont be to cold its been funny today its rained this afternoon i got caught in it i have been sweeping a drive abd round the back im still working away i work all year round it does help
Tubular heaters are great. I use one for my workshop, and it has a thermostat. Set low keeps damp and condensation away, especially in winter.

Electricity was dirt cheap 60 years ago, cheers Geoff.

CCTV Great idea Lights that go on and off using a timer are great. So is a ring door bell. Window alarms, and a radio set on a timer.
Thanks Ivan, I'm going to get one for the kitchen. Thank you for all the information.

hi great video, how much are you paying per kwh for electricity? cheers geoff.
I THINK THE LITTLE HEATERS WILL HELP, BUT I THINK YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OF WITH AN OIL FILLED HEATER, YOU CAN CONTROL THE HEAT BETTER.

What temperature are you happy at to be comfortable sitting around the van. ?
My mate has his van at 21 degrees but I am happy at 19 degrees
Good vid mate. Can you not install a multifuel burner? Lots of narrowboaters use them. I would imagine that properly installed it would be ok.
keep toastie 😃
Do you have any room thermometer I have the little magnetic ones. Handy to see at a glance.
@@ValHalla-iq9mo you know when you’re cold without a thermometer.
Hi mate these tube heaters at 80 watt are not good enough to heat any room unless really small less than 4x6 better to use halogen.
CCTV Security is fine if you have a neighbour who is willing to look after it whilst your away. An alarm a night can be annoying to neighbour's.
Switch your fire off and put a jumper on instead!
Need a carvan 4 about 10 k could i get one need it 4 few years. Could i get one 4 that
What happened to ur panel heaters ? Waste of money like i said ?

Anything left in that box pandora?😊
Fit Central heating mate absolute doddle in a caravan and cheap as chip's
i hope it wont be to cold its been funny today its rained this afternoon i got caught in it i have been sweeping a drive abd round the back im still working away i work all year round it does help
If you are going to heat electrically just get a thermostatic convector heater - about £20 from the likes of Home Bargains.
cctv...good. Alarm...whats the point? more a nuisance tbh. I got cctv.......excellent watching hedgehogs at night. lol.
1 pence a hour ? Don't think so. Cheapest and best is diesel heater and run it on heating oil
Yes thats what i do in the house.
Ivan you got them at a good price as they are rubbish. Pointless mate.
