I’m waiting on my 17 year old Troy bilt with Honda motor to give up. I really like your Wolfe ridge. Trying to decide what to go with next. Thanks for the video. I enjoy them all!
Both of you guys did a fantastic job. It currently takes me 1-1/2 to 2 hours to,split a half cord, that is stacking in the truck as well.. So another channel I can watch and drool 🤤 over the Wolfe Ridge.. About 5 months away till I get mine..😁👍
Hi John. Jose is a good friend and hard worker. We were intentionally going hard to see how quickly we could split a face cord. After watching the finished video I realized we couldn’t keep that pace all day long. Typically we have no trouble doing a cord per hour. Thanks for watching!
Hey Dick! Great job both of you running that splitter an filling up that IBC tote! Definitely some challenges with splitting some of that wood, but nevertheless you folks plowed right through! Definitely a good 1/3 cord for sure Dick, Agreed! Thanks for having us to the yard! Cheers! Andrew from NB :)
Great video Dick! I have the exact same pro 28c as you, with the magnum pkg, auto cycle and electric start. What a combination!! I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and have 85 hours logged on the splitter so far. Most have been by myself, but what a difference with one or two other people! You simply can't go wrong with Wolfe Ridge. Keep on movin'! Obie from Ohio.
Thanks for watching Bill! I love my 28C. I bought a 28 Pro in February of 2020, sold it in November 2021 for more than I paid for it, and bought the Pro 28C at the same time. I wanted the auto cycle and the speed of the 28C over the 28 Pro. It’s all the splitter I’ll ever need. With 2 or 3 people I can really crank out the wood!
Nice video, the splitter works great. I read your comment to Mike at Out Doors With The Morgans about him inspiring you to do a channel. After finding your channel named Old Guy Firewood I decided to make my own. Thanks a lot of fun.
Thanks for the comments! I’m having a lot of fun with it also. My biggest problem is finding time to make videos. I want to get to where I’m doing one per week. I’ll check out your channel… good luck!
Just found you and subbed. Good vid and look forward to following your channel. I started my channel in January. And just bought a wolf ridge 28 pro this weekend at the frenzy. Nebraska WoodSTR
Thanks for the comments! I’m envious you made it to the Frenzy… a little too far for me. I’m going to try to get to the Paul Bunyan show in October. I really appreciate you subscribing. I’ll be looking at your channel also. “Keep moving”!
You are absolutely correct Dana. With the Wolfe Ridge splitter it’s even better with three… one keeping rounds on the lift, one running the splitter, and one taking the splits off the table and stacking. If I’m working alone it’s much slower.
Thanks for watching Tommy. Jose loves working and while he is a friend I pay him well for his hard work. We had already cut 14 lawns before we made this video. It was the end of the day for both of us!
@@oldguyfirewood Thanks , Dick I have been watching all of them I can. I love messing with firewood. I grew up heating with it and now I don’t need to do it, but it helps with my heating bills and gives me something to do in the winter. I think it great how you can do so much at your age. Big fan!
It does have the magnum package. I did extensive research and narrowed it down to Wolfe Ridge and Eastonmade. Made in the USA and a dealer a little over an hour away made the decision easy.
One person can do a cord an hour easily, especially if not stacking at the same time. Two people could push two cords an hour. It all depends on how you want to run your firewood operation and your personal preference. No right or wrong way to run the splitter.

Thanks for watching Rick. I love my Wolfe Ridge. Made in the USA, great customer service, and a growing dealer network.
Nice machine. New here. You shrink and the wood shrinks 80 degrees splitting weather. Great job
Haha! you are absolutely correct my friend. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!

@@oldguyfirewood : I have no doubt I will be happy.. I am sure in a way Chris is tired of answering questions from me at this point..🤣🤣
you have a very good helper you worked him hard . i look at wood as cords per man hour . good show john

Very nice splitter Wolfridge makes a good one Chris is good people God bless
Thanks for watching John. Wolfe Ridge does make a great splitter, and yes, Chris Wolfe is a great guy 👍

The Wolfe Ridge splitter really needs at least two people to be most efficient. It is a very powerful machine.
Great looking operation Dick, thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks for watching Chris.

Hello from Piqua Ohio. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed!
Great job guys! That splitter is a beast!
Thanks for the comments Chris. I’m totally pleased with Wolfe Ridge. It really takes 2 or 3 people to maximize it’s output. Thanks for watching!
Y’all made quick work of all those rounds , nice job !!
Hey Del… good to hear from you. Having a second person makes a huge difference.

Great Video Dick! 13 Minutes is impressive for 1/3 of a cord. I’m running close to an hour plus with my box store splitter and that’s before stacking.
Thanks for watching Brent. The key is having help to keep the splitter loaded.
Nice job men, those rounds look to be perfect size for the 6 way wedge!
Thanks for the comments TC. Those rounds ranged from 8-16 inches. You’re right, they were a good size for the 6 way.

Well done Gentlemen
Thanks Harry! Hope you subscribed and watched some of my other videos. I really appreciate you watching.
Looks like you have the magnum package on that splitter. Any particular reason you chose Wolfe Ridge?
It does have the magnum package. I did extensive research and narrowed it down to Wolfe Ridge and Eastonmade. Made in the USA and a dealer a little over an hour away made the decision easy.
@@oldguyfirewood, is a 156mi drive from my door to Wolfe Ridge! Almost neighbors with them. LOL
👍👍
Thanks Bill and thanks for watching!
I am really starting to like the 28C. With the ole Countyline 25T it’s hours per cord, not cord per hour…
You’re absolutely right!
Nice splitting teamwork! Easily a cord an hour. 👍
Two men and that splitter could easily do a cord an hour. Thanks for watching!

What part of Nc? I’m from Winston Salem!
Hi. Thanks for watching. I’m north of Durham.
What size were these rounds?? Still working with single, 4 way and 6way. Have a Safe Day
Thanks for the comments David. They ranged 8-16 inches. I think we could have done just as good with the 4 way. That’s the one I use most of the time.
