I like the stand build and it makes me want to retro fit some drawers. After seeing how simple it looks, my hardest part is starting. Thanks for the inspo.

i'm sure an experienced maker like you can easily build some sort of clamp/holder for that dust collection hose, so you don't have to hold it with your hand the whole time

Interesting video and a nice design on the stand. I want to hear how the 1/8" bottoms work out after a couple of years of use. Thank you for sharing.

i've used 1/8" baltic birch for years, it lasts.

I'm surprised you didn't make a clamp with a rod to onto the stand to hold that hose while you are sanding those tops the lathe.

Slow down in your builds than it would even better. I know it is just shop furniture but they can be nice made too, and you have the tools to make forexample simple joints as a half lap joint, that is fast and more sturdy, well i f you see my workshop and i make furniture on order, my cabinets are made of osb lol so it was made in a time when my budget was small, but than again i don't have a youtube channel.enough of that! but i am so glad for the build video, a perfect one for beginners to build a simple frame annex show off the tool. but a little advice: please do not not stand with a open jacket at your lathe, big accidents are known for happening, take a nice old sweather for when it is cold. no critic but just some advice that comes from a good heart. we like to see more nice videos from you! good job both of you!

Ditch the CNC a turn them from start to finish on the lathe.

Yep fair enough, I use to be a professional woodturner, I would turn out tops in five minutes from start to finish@@darbinorvar

Nice video, but there's something that bothers me a lot. Please, don't wear long sleeve clothes when operating a lathe, it's dangerous... and you are keeping your arm too close to that spinning part.
