Zeekr 007 Driven - If James Bond Drove Chinese, He'd Drive This

  • James Bond doesn't drive a Chinese car, but if he did, he'd probably drive the Zeekr 007.
Sleek, full of tech, and stealthy quiet, the 007 offers all the qualities Bond might want in a car, at a price that even a budget-deficient MI5 could afford. It'll even outsprint all of his Aston Martins so far.
    Fancy a Chinese, Bond?

@jhelotes5627 That sounds more like a statement of fact than opinion. Added to which if the car gets bashed, then how long are you going to have to wait for repair panels, glass and all the other replacement gizmos that'll go wrong & that make this car look like a fun fair bumper car.? Of course, having been funded by Zeekr to make a puff piece about the 007, you'd expect nothing less than what you got here. And I also wonder if the Zeekr can be remotely deactivated by our friends, the CCP, if they fancied so to do? Massive tariffs will be charged on Chinese EVs because the CCP heavily subsidises their manufacture. As for resale values then you're likely as not to lose your shirt to boot. Didn't find any Teslas that ran into a truck or highway divider killing their occupants on autopilot? Plenty of EVs have caught fire (though no Zeekrs incidentally), and one brand has more videos than most (BYD, though some of those fires were actually hybrids, not EVs) yet even they supply batteries to Tesla and even Toyota, so you see where I'm going with this? China sells far more EVs than any country per year, there will be a higher representation of their fires online, they also run far more cars with autonomous features so again, you'll see more of them failing online, but you'll find plenty of European cars struggling with the "child detection test" and other similar videos online.

James Bond would drive a Nigerian made truck before he'd drive a Chinese car.

I think I'd be terrified of a car which, by your account, incorporates [or will] at least 35 electronic features. BTW, I'm no Luddite and do appreciate your presentation formatting and love of the auto - [now, why did I sell my go-anywhere, totally reliable and super-comfortable Renault 16TS?]

Well I mean I love my original Mini which had a grand total of 6 switches inside, but this is clearly a car for the 21st century. I'm not sure the Mini was for anything after the 18th century.

The clam shell is a copy of the Lucid EV. Not liking it. Everything else is really awesome.
