Subhan’Allah. I’m currently finding it difficult to address certain matters with my parents and family as a whole and do feel like giving up a lot of the time. It feels lonely and overwhelming. O Allah, guide our children in reverence and obedience to You, Your Messenger (peace be upon him), and us as parents (when we are commanded to please You). Make them the coolness of our eyes. O Allah, save my children from debt. Make them givers, not takers. O Allah, strengthen them in their religion so much that they never suffer from doubt. O Allah guide them to enjoy our company, obey us and befriend us in their youth. O Allah, do not allow any negative attitudes to enter the lives of our children. O Allah, help them to love, value and respect each other with good communication always between them. O Allah, grant them piety.
With regards,does a man also have not to obey his wive whatever she speaks or whatever she complains wrongly about ? What i often see is that most of our respectable imaams,muftis and our great scholars saying is that to be good and obey wife but never comment if man has to advise his wife also when she is wrong as in case of parents when they say something that you sense as wrong.Do we only have lecture parents if you sense something that is wrong and isnt it equally applicable to wife also when she is wrong? I am sorry to say it but i never saw any of our great religious imaam or muftis or scholars talking clearly about this topic as to how to balance a sort of relationships with wife and parents without favoring any side for something wrong and be fair enough.How do we justify if parents are being maltreated? I have lot of instance where i came across where wife or husband or sometimes both physically beating parents but this goes under carpet and nobody talks about it & what sharah law is applicable in this matter.There is a fitna now a days in most of the families becoz many people lack clarity in tthis matter about how do we need to maintain a sort of balance in relationship and be honest enough and fair enough to avoid conflicts & it almost always happens that there is one one sided favortism and that's husband going wife's side even when she is wrong.We are ignoring dealing with something that needs a fair judgement & justicce by trying to justify it by selectively choosing selective hadith or verses of Quran to justify what is unjustified.With due respect,plz shed light on this matter in a broader,much clearer way so that a kind of proper balance is maintained instead of just justifying that only wife is above all & justify her for everything becoz this is spoiling youth as they dont have proper clarity and proper understanding on this matter misusing this concept and most often this becomes a justification for them to side with wife everytime even when she speaks something or acts in a way that is not normal as per islamic teachings and that spoils not only peace in many homes but this creates a kind of hatred,animosities even among siblings or parents and at times even such relationships come to an end.This is happening now a days in many parts of world and is not something that shoud be avoided but a proper deen is taught so that people know justice,fairness in our social system.
Mashallah I needed this video… but sheikh please can you give me advice… I don’t want to be committing shirk but my parents follow other religion and they make me join in on their traditions and I really don’t want to it makes me feel awful and I don’t believe any of it but I don’t want to be disrespectful to them… what do I do am I committing sin by sitting through the rituals they perform (I don’t participate but they have begged me to join by sitting with them while they do why they do) I can’t explain how upsetting this is for me… please tell me if you have any guidance inshallah

He is talking about the case when your mom is doing wrong. You should try to advise her patiently and never give up on her. When you were a small baby and you were crying and annoying her, she did not give up on you.

Try to make them stop and be respectful and patient with them. Don't fall into the trap of wanting them to enter hellfire.
