Great video gentlemen! I’ve sailed on Queen Victoria and love the ship . I sail only on Cunard because I love the traditional style of the Art Deco design!! The incredible wood panelling, etched glass and polished metals. It harkens back to the Golden Age of transatlantic sea travel from the 1900’s thru the 1950’s. I'll be sailing in about 20 days on the Transatlantic Maiden Voyage of the Queen Anne. A Cunard Transatlantic Maiden Voyage has always been on my bucket list since I was a small kid . Made the booking long before the Queen Anne debuted last May . Was very shocked by the extreme contemporary modern look of her interiors! But I’m still going because I know it’s my only chance to be part of a Maiden Voyage . But a little bit of the fun will be lacking for me because of the modern vibes!🤷♂️🙁 What I want to talk about here is the fact that on my most recent cruise ( Queen Elizabeth - Alaskan cruise) I was unbelievably criticised for being over dressed ?!? It was a “ Smart Attire “ night . I was waiting in line for the Britannia Restaurant to open, and the couple in front of me ( who were dressed in my opinion like slobs on the way to the gym ) started criticising and making rude comments about my appearance!! I was just wearing a blue blazer with gray slacks and white shirt with a dark blue tie . I was slowly getting madder and madder and was about to tell them off , but the doors finally opened up and probably saved me from spending a night in the ship’s brig !😂🤷♂️ What do you guys think of this happening? It definitely put a unpleasant mark on my vacation !! If this starts being a normal occurrence, I probably will stop cruising altogether😮😒😡! I’m curious how you guys would have handled the situation?!? Queen Mary 2 will always be my favourite, with the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria tied in second place !! Guess you know where that leaves Queen Anne?!🤷♂️ But I’ll let you know if that changes after my time spent aboard! Maybe she’s better looking in person?!?
Thanks for the comment! 😃 Queen Anne is a departure from the other 3 queens but… is very much the style of QE2 a ship many have fond memories… and we do believe Cunard need to find ways to modernise while keeps by the service that is key to Cunard at heart… That said we love to dress up (as such) for dinner on Cunard it is part of the charm for us 😊 Sorry to hear about your QE experience it sounds awful 😞
