Princess is my favourite. I like classic ships, a laid back atmosphere, good food and drink, quiet places to relax and read, good pools, and a focus on travel.
Sounds like my kind of cruise. Have done Royal and NCL and they're not for me. Being on a floating amusement park full of kids is not my idea of a vacation.
You are spot on! My husband and I are in our 50s and we love the low-key vibe and beauty of Celebrity Cruises. We have done Carnival cruises and while fun, as you mentioned it is definitely more of a party ship, swinger pineapple signs on doors and all!
Thank you for the reviews. I’m 57 age wise, but attitude wise, I’m somewhere in my early 40s most of the time. My knees and back are somewhere between the age of 50-75. I have found that cruising is very subjective. I have sailed on Carnival, Princess, RC, HAL, and Celebrity, and enjoyed each cruise. I think that my overall mood once boarding the ship, usually sets the tone for the cruise. My very 1st cruise was on Carnival, and I had a blast. My most relaxing cruise was on HAL, it was to celebrate my retirement. The most adventurous was on Princess. The most scenic was Celebrity. I have yet to have a bad cruise.
I take care of my 93 year young mom 4 days a week and she likes to cruise on Celebrity once or twice a year and brings me with her. Last year we had a 14 passenger family reunion on Celebrity with cousins my age (58) and my 95 year young aunt and 82 year old uncle. We had such a great time and I can't think of anything we could complain about. I'm so happy you gave it a 10 since it's the only cruise line I have been on with the exception of my honeymoon on Carnival Destiny in 1998. We saw many young couples and singles on our last sailing. I was told Celebrity was only for elderly passengers and that was not true at all. Met many people in their 20's and 30's.
Celebrity is our favorite of the mainstream cruise lines - 27 cruises. We have also sailed on Carnival, NCL, Cunard, Princess, Royal Caribbean. We especially love the Celebrity Edge class ships. Don’t want to sail on a floating amusement park. We also love Viking for sailing in Europe.
I have only been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian, so I can’t speak to the rest of them. However, Carnival would have only gotten a 3 from me. Food is terrible, customer service is ok, the vibe on the ship, well I don’t drink and I think you would need to be drunk to appreciate it. Royal Caribbean would have gotten a 7 from me. They are nice. The food is good, but my daughter ordered from the steakhouse every night. It didn’t feel like a community to me. NCL is my favorite now. Their food is fantastic - even the complimentary venues. I have never had a bad meal on an NCL ship. The entertainment was far better than Carnival or Royal Caribbean. Customer service is top-notch. Carnival customer service was lousy at best. I will say I do enjoy the bigger ships from NCL. We went on the Sky this summer. While I had a great time, it just was not as fun as the Encore or Bliss. For now, I will only cruise with NCL. Someday, I hope to go on a luxury line like Oceania or Regent. But for just plain fun, I’ll choose Norwegian.
I don’t drink and always have a great time on Carnival 😁 But it is definitely a fun ship. If you don’t enjoy a constant party atmosphere, probably not for you. You need to like interaction 24/7. But when I get overwhelmed I find the chill spots or go on the balcony 😅
Please. Please sail on Holland American. Go on the Koningsdam, the Statedam or the Rotterdam. They have great staff, great entertainment and wonderful food!
I used to love Holland, just sailed Eurodam, the food was almost not even edible, service was appalling, I'm very sad for them, once a wonderful line. Too many cuts, overworked staff, everyone was miserable, such a shame.
Agree 100% on Celebrity and Disney!! Cannot wait to be on Celebrity again next year for my birthday!! Especially for their food!!! So happy you’re doing more videos on this channel!! ❤❤❤❤❤ My hubby and I still talk about their martinis - and for Disney, their service and shows, wow! And Mickey waffles….
My wife and I booked a celebrity cruise for our 16th wedding anniversary! We are staying in a signature suite in the retreat. Our honeymoon was on a disney cruise also.
@@cybrgeekhikes8260 Hoping you LOVE being a Retreat guest! Take advantage of Luminae for your meals if you are a foodie, including lunches. Only sailed with Retreat once on the Edge. It is hard to go back to regular cabins but money factors into making choices.
Interesting about MSC, I actually really loved them and found the customer service amazing, they cared for me when I got Norovirus (**Not from the ship**) they were great! And the food was great too.
I think one of the best things about cruising is that there is a ship/line/experience for just about anyone. I personally prefer smaller, quieter ships; and interesting itineraries are more important to me than go-carts. But it is so great that there are different ships that cater to young partiers and families and multigenerational groups as well as old fuddy-duddies like me. By the way, Ben, you are looking positively svelte!
When choosing my cruise I look for 3 things, itinerary, length of cruise, and cost. Entertainment and food are 4 and 5. I prefer longer cruises and unfortunately the top tier cruises, while not very affordable for the average cruiser, also don’t tend to do long cruises. Currently I go back and forth between NCL (because of the solo program) and Princess (itinerary). The three knocks against Princess are their shoreside customer service (call center), the crew appreciation dispersion, and the plus/ premium programs for non-drinkers.
Wow! One of the most informative & useful cruise videos ever! Will help 'newbies' to pick the best for them & so make sure they are not throwing away all that hard earned cash as you said. Glossy ads & brochures hide the fact that the cheapest may not be best because of all the things that maybe extra payment! So happy to see Celebrity were 10/10 we are looking forward to our first 'Edge' in April, can't wait! We have previously done Princess, MSC, Virgin, CMV & Ambassador & found all have been enjoyable & love the differences, we find some of the little, old ships surprisingly as good as the big showy ones (& it's easier to disembark in the ports!) Thank you & keep up the great work!🤩
For me P&O cruises provides the best value for money and one of the only cruise lines who provides flights in with the standard price. Best value for money for a 14 night Caribbean cruise by far!
Having sailed on RC, Princess, HAL, Oceania and Celebrity, and being a huge fan of Celebrity (especially their Edge Class ships), I was delighted to see you not only rated them the highest, but with a perfect score to boot. Their food, service and ships are definitely a cut above most of their competition!!!
@@kookaburralaughs1869 Some of their older ships are showing their age and are due for refurbishment soon. I would strongly recommend one of their Edge Class ships. I think you’ll be very pleased.
Have reached Platinum status on Princess (you need 5 cruises or 50 days; we have 6 cruises and 64 days now). Glad I stuck with them as they suit me just fine. Love the service and the cabins and the food and the classic feel of the ships. Seventh cruise booked for next year. A back to back so it'll be 14 days up to New England and Canada from New York.
You have been my cruise gurus since your early days, but I can’t believe the way you are going after NCL. I agree that the Epic is in a dreadful state, and the food options aren’t as good as they used to be. But there are newer ships with great dining options and cabins. If someone interrupts me on any of our 6 speciality meals next week, I will ask them politely to let us dine in peace and tell their manager that such behaviour from crew is reprehensible and unwelcome. We will then put in a complaint. We are soon doing our third cruise on Viking. Their food has gone downhill too. The pandemic continues to have an unwelcome effect on the cruise experience. I would rather never go on holiday again than go on Disney or Virgin (though their food looks great). Having the same servers following me round is my idea of hell! I do love your reviews apart from the recent emphasis on NCL. I would never have tried cruising if it hadn’t been for their freestyle concept. And at least you know you are at sea on their ships (apart from Epic). Royal ships look like shopping malls to me and feature way too much junk food. But we all have our own preferences.
I’ve only been on one cruise and it was a Disney Cruise. I absolutely loved it! My kids have begged to go again but it’s definitely a trip we have to save up for! Thank you for this video. It’s given me some ideas of other cruise lines to try!
i've seen a review about their newer ship "wish" and that it doesn't hold up to the expectations of those that cruised on the older ships and that the price is unreasonably expensive. so if you cruise on a disney ship again you might consider to choose one of the older ships, maybe you can also get a better deal there!
100% agree people have very different opinions. Loved this video. When you do cruise Holland America, I would suggest Alaska and make sure it goes to Glacier Bay National Park! Also, one of their newer ships. Thank you for your review.
I personally think that msc is a very good cruise line (in terms of price-performance ratio) and the food and entertainment on the large and new ships can easily keep up with others and the parties are awesome
I 100% agree. I have been on two cruises MSC Seashore and Royals Sympathy of the Seas the price was more then double on ROYAL would rather go on MSC and cruise more each year
As always great video. I don’t agree with the MSC review though. The food could indeed be better, but their customer service and onboard staff are amazing. I have only sailed with MSC (3 cruises: 1 x Euribia / 2 x World Europa) so can’t compare to other cruiselines, but when comparing them to any hotel, restaurant, amusementpark, etc. the friendliness of the MSC staff is second to none. The onboard staff are amazing. I do hope you guys will revisit them in the future. In april ‘25 i’m sailing on the celebrity Apex (Barcelona to Southampton), so really excited to compare. Off course when considering the price difference expectations are high.
MSC Yacht Club is a completely different and better experience than outside YC. Private pool, hot tubs, sun deck, restaurant, breakfast/lunch buffet, lounge with snacks, and extraordinary service. Solid 10/10.
Definitely think this video needed to be made, well done with lots of info and concise at the same time. It would have saved me a bunch of time when I was first researching cruises to go. Going on my first cruise in Nov 2025 on the Star Princess, cant wait!
Awesome review and overview guide. Thanks for putting this together. You guys are very credible people to do this because of your heavy cruise travel experiences.
Love this compare and contrast video! My first cruise was this past May on the VV Valiant Lady. I loved it so much I came home and booked 3 more VV cruises for 2025! It felt so right I have no need to try the others (at least in the foreseeable future). I appreciate your great score and obvious pleasure with Virgin. What a marvelous video...thank you! 🙂
Very informative. We have done several Royal Caribbean cruises and 1 Disney. We may have been unlucky but found Disney food very hit and miss.we did have a sandwich also which had frozen lettuce which put us off the quick service food .We are going back to royal Caribbean and hoping to try celebrity in future
We are doing our first Virgin Voyage cruise in December 2024. Resilient Lady from San Juan, PR to the windward island and back. Going with friends we have cruised with before, and who have much more cruising experience that we do. We are really looking forward to this first experience with this cruise line.
I’ve been on 8 cruise lines and this is my order from best to worst 1. Princess 2. Cunard 3. Royal Caribbean 4. P&O 5. Celebrity Cruises 6. Ambassador 7. Norwegian Cruises 8. MSC Cruises
I'm a regular traveller on Cunard and I've always found their service and food to be excellent. Also a lot of services are included onboard which are an extra charge on other cruise lines. Interestingly I have found Queen Anne to be a disappointment overall while this channel seems to prefer her to the other ships. I think they're too harsh as they prefer a more casual party like cruise. And if you're thinking I'm old because I travel on Cunard I am 25 years old.
Personally, i find MSC to offer a better product (in relation to the price) than the other lines. You get the best private island on the market, super cheap drink packages, they may upgrade you for free if you get a guaranteed rate room, food options aren't terrible, and you can easily get a 7 day cruise for less than $500-600 easily
@@brantthompson199exactly. If you want the best food and drinks, go spend 2-3 times more on another line that takes you to the same destinations with much more expensive drinks packages and options
We've sailed twice with MSC, and agree with you. Our 1st cruise was from Cape Town to Walvis Bay on the Sinfonia in 2018, and then a 7 day Med cruise on Fantasia in March this year. We enjoyed the Sinfonia and had no complaints, but the Fantasia cruise was fantastic. I tried not to get too excited, after reading so many poor reviews, but we had such a wonderful experience. And we were pleasantly surprised by the food too.
I recently went on MSC MERIVIGILIA FOR the 7 night stay out of brooklyn to the Bahamas and i will say i had an absolute blast. The food was great, if u dont like the buffet go to the main dinning. Breakfast is super repetitive, but they have more options for dinner. The water slides/ ropes course is super fun. The jacuzzi is warm and the bubbles are feral lol. There was something to do every hour: Trivia, games, karaoke, Broadway shows, comedy shows, the jewelry stores gave out a free charm every night to complete ur bracelet. My main complaint was the gym is super tiny, so if ur a workout manic maybe idk. And the PRICE IS UNBEATABLE. We paid 1080 for 2 people in an interior which is very spacious btw, gratituity and the drink package included. For a 7 night stay thats really unbeatable. Also the staff for the most part was absolutely amazing. We paid a 100$ deposit while on the cruise for our next stay and if u pay onboard they give u a bunch of perks- greater flexibility, an onboard credit, and a best price guarantee. Cant wait to sail with them again.
We are sailing from that port and likely doing yhe same itinerary and i cant wait! We got 2 rooms (with drink and internet package) and for less than the price of a balcony room (just the room!! Nothing else) with Royal, and we love Royal.
I agree this is a very good cruise to go on! You can't beat the prices it's half what other cruise lines are charging out of the same NYC area ports. I ate the main dinning room all week and just went to the buffet for pizza snacks and hamburgers at nite.
Thank you so much for this. I am currently looking around for my first cruise and this was quite helpful in narrowing down which cruise lines I'd be interested in.
This is a great amount of information, thanks so much! We will be on the Celebrity Beyond in just 16 days (10/27/2024) and can’t wait. I’m saving this video for future cruises since we do love to cruise 😊
My only problem with Celebrity is that it was my first cruise, and it set the bar really high. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was fantastic (even in the buffet) and the staff were superb. I got to know several of them on a first name basis, and they were just wonderful. My second was on the Princess Majestic, and I gave that a 5/10 because the food was meh, too many children in the adults only areas and the staff were blase about the complaints. HOWEVER, I love the medallion, and it was nice to be able to keep track of my parents (who are in their 80s), and my father got a kick out of ordering something to be delivered to him. "I don't know how they found me, but they did!"
Really interesting video…. Have to agree, celebrity is my fave line too…even their older ships are lovely and the staff and service are second to none.
Can’t wait for our Transatlantic cruise next spring on the new Celebrity Ascent to Rome. Splurged on the following cruise to Istanbul & Greek islands also! Sky Suite, here we come! And Retreat extras. 😊
You will need to sail with Holland America and add them into the ranking. We are Celebrity Elite but actually felt Holland America does a great job for Alaska especially in combination with land tours to Denali. Access to Glacier Bay and having a naturalist on board was great on our HAL Noordam cruise last year. Better than our Celebrity inside passage cruise.
So close to clicking the “book now” button on a family balcony to Bermuda on Norwegian Aqua for 2026. Our Bermuda trip on Disney got sent to Mexico due to Hurricane Lee in 2023.
Thanks, David. I hope you'll take a look at Holland America before long. I've been interested in taking a sea trip for the first time, and I'm wondering if HA has the sort of atmosphere I'm looking for (relaxed, quiet, with enrichment).
I'm with you on Celebrity, exceptional cruise line. The Edge is awesome, especially when cruising in the Retreat! We've been in the Retreat on the Edge, Reflection, and Eclipse. The Edge class is on a different level! Our son didn't like it at all. He was 10 and after spending 30 minutes in the kids club and asked that he never sail Celebrity again 🤣
@@jeannecrawford6324 He ended up having a great time with us in the excursions. However, that didn't leave my wife and I any time to sit and have a drink. Lesson learned!
We love the Retreat experience as well. But Sky Suites are just getting too expensive for us, so we may go back to our faves of Viking and Oceania. Small ships, no kids!
Celebrity is absolutely my favorite! I’m on the Summit right now in the Caribbean. My ONLY gripe with Celebrity is the Edge Class ships and the Infinite Verandas. It’s a terrible design and my veranda is really important to me. I’d love to sail Edge Class again, but I’m sticking to the Millenium and Solstice Class. At least I still have a great variety of itineraries with those.
@@marias902 We love the Celebrity Suite, it's the sweet spot in opinion. I enjoy the extra room and my wife loves the lounger on the balcony, especially for Alaska cruises.
Love your content! The production of this content is fabulous and Ben is such a great personality to head up the show that has my daughters saying “stooning” every time we watch your superb content…love the channel!
We've been cruising on NCL for years. We enjoy the buffet as well as complimentary restaurants, the shows are impressive, and the stateroom is comfortable and well maintained.
We have done 10-12 cruises, mostly on Carnival and RCL. Celebrity was far from perfect the only time we sailed on them a little over a year ago - service was very good (except for one lunch) and the ship was nice but the food was inconsistent, very good some nights and just Ok on others in the dining room and the buffet was also kind of hit or miss - the shows / entertainment were not great at times. We do have sailings planned for Celebrity and Princess next year - hope it is closer to what others seem to experience.
We sailed the wish for our first ever cruise. My dad is not a disney fan but he fell in love with cruiseing with disney. We are looking to go on treasure but not until 2028 we want to do alaska next. We are between royal carribean due to the solarium, celebrity, star princess.
Ben, you look great! Thanks for such a well-done video! I admit, I only sail Celebrity (20+ cruises now), but after seeing the other cruise lines on this vid, I realize I'm not missing anything. Celebrity just does everything (well almost ) right. And for a solo cruiser such as myself, it's big enough that you can do your own thing, but small enough to see the same people if you want to socialize. The crew are all wonderful and remember me and my preferences. And thank you for your comment about the Infinite Veranda. It's an absolutely awful idea and design. I use my veranda too much to pay for the privilege of being in a room with a big window that opens. That's why I've only sailed Edge Class once - the regular verandas they have (50-ish total) sell out right away. Celebrity really screwed up on that (for me). You guys are amazing! Love your vids! On the Celebrity Summit right now and she's gorgeous!
Spot on with your ratings..Have sailed NCL the most but in last few times have notice a bad change in everything from the food to customer service.. Celebrity is our favorite for food entertainment you can't beat them..we also like the newer ships at RCL Icon and Wonder of the Seas..Very large but beautiful..other than the specialty dining the food was average.. Thanks hope to see you and David on a cruise soon..
I really liked your reviews on the various cruise lines and felt you were right on with most of them. The only error I saw was with Carnival. The Serenity Deck is for adults 21 years of age and older. There is no additional charge for going to the Serenity Deck. Other than that, you were perfect. As usual. Thanks!
I love relaxed, Quiet, not many kids, I go for a holiday not to party or noise, must be getting old I guess. We have mainly cruised on Norwegian, cruised on Coral Princess an older ship, but enjoyed it the food was good, not one bad meal. Loved Prima NCL but not so much the Viva, it has gone down since we cruised on Prima. Going to go with Celebrity or Princess next time overseas. Will never cruise with Royal Caribbean or Carnival. Ben you are looking healthier and seems you have lost weight, good on you.
The Celebrity Infinity cabins have their place. In warm climates like the Caribbean or Mediterranean we prefer standard balconies. For cooler temperatures like the Baltic or North Sea we prefer the Infinity.
I don’t know why you are giving 4.5 for P&O, we took our first ever cruise with them recently and they are absolutely amazing in every way! everything you said about them simply isn’t correct! They were brilliant on every level ❤🚢
Hey Ben. Sailed the Seascape last November. Definitely a gorgeous ship. The entertainment was ok. Customer service was ok. Some bartenders catered to premium drink package holders and yacht club passengers. Thank goodness no big issues. Found the themed parties like white night, Caribbean night were fun. We had an Aurea cabin and the assigned dining room had hot and tasty food. I was quite surprised. The kids splash area had a big pirate 🏴☠️ ship with slides and bridges. Was a fantastic area and the kids loved the camp. That they are spot on. Never sailed P&O. Don’t know if I would fly after that review. Wonder if they embark on America. Like the comfort of Norwegian. Think all the cruise lines now nickel and dime. No longer the all inclusive experience like back in the 90’s. It was Norwegians interior cabin that was very cramped. Been sailing balconies since. I’ve never sailed Cunard but my mum loved Cunard. Like Carnival. Too my surprise, I enjoy escargot the best on their ships. They sail Alaska as well. Saw the Spirit there. Princess was my 1st cruise in 1978 at 12 yrs of age. All I remember is I thought I was on the Love Boat 😂. 24 hr cafe sounds great. Beautiful ships. Like Royal. Their shows and kids splash areas are great. I’ve only been on Oasis class but jumping on the Odyssey with friends in December for our anniversaries and 1st Quantum Ultra. Will be sailing Virgin for the 1st in March. Looking forward to my 1st Disney booked. Left the best for last. Celebrity. My 2nd cruise as an adult no parents in 1992 and it was amazing then and amazing now. Was on the Edge to Alaska in July. Might be on the Excel next November. Great food and service. And the biggest bathrooms especially the shower in comparison to other standard cabins on comparable lines. Very fair review Ben. Thanks so much. You and David have an amazing weekend. 🤗.
If I get a chance to cruise right now I am leaning toward Virgin, especially since it doesn't seem to be just for the younger adults. What appeals to be are the smaller ships, no rides, no kids, interesting fun shows, and the all inclusive vibe. Maybe someday it will be in the budget. :-)
Absolutely Love Celebrity Cruises. They are our first choice! We've been with them for lots of years. We are spoiled by the Suite Life but it is worth every penny. Love the perks with both the suites and their loyalty program.
Excellent overview video. Been on RC and NCL ships and you are spot on. After several cruises with those lines, we prefer to step up to Princess or Celebrity. No kids, waterslides or belly flop contests!
I always find your videos so informative and helpful! Thanks so much! ☺️ A HUGE amount of work must go into each of your videos and I absolutely appreciate all that you do. 💞
Been on the MSC Virtuosa twice, great food especially in the speciality restaurants, great service and great shows, i recommend you visit a carousel show - really none of the issues you stated
Amazing video. Informative. Well put together. All the info I needed. I particularly like that you talked about who is this cruise meant for. I think I’m gonna subscribe to you.
This is a very honest, unbiased, fair minded well thought out review. I agree with you guys up and down. Maybe split the Premium Lines from the Retail Lines. Excellent!!!!
Love your broadcasts. We did Celebrity Millennium around Japan earlier this year. The food is as outstanding, the staff wonderful, even on this old ship. Incidentally, you look amazing Ben! Possibly the good old Ozempic? No judgement, it does the job and helps your health. Xx
Watching from Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹... Nice Video! Thank you for the honest review and content... Been 2x on board MSC & 2X with Royal Caribbean...We loved Royal Caribbean because of its modern technology, nice entertainments, very clean , good customer service and delicious foods... Just got off from ODYSSEY OF THE SEAS 6 weeks ago... We enjoyed our trip and planning for our next Caribbean Cruise by 2025... Thanks! ..
We have yet to try Celebrity, but probably will at some point. We were on the Disney Dream earlier this past February (2024). Caribbean cruise, winter get-away with our entire/extended family. It was fabulous, be love Disney World even as adults, and having our grand-daughters along (ages 5, 11, and 27) made it extra special. Don’t know that we would book a Disney cruise just for us, but we would certainly select DCL well ahead of ANY cruise line that is catering to younger adult cruises looking for a floating party.
Our first celebrity cruise was to the Galapagos and Machu Pichu 45 people, so that was hard to judge. Our next one is 22 day (2 different 11 day b to b) around the Great Barrier Reef then down to NZ. Going in January and we can't wait!!!!! We are platinum on NCL and agree with your assessment on NCL.
We've done over 45 cruises on all cruise lines rated on your video (except Disney & Virgin) and we've just returned from our best cruise ever and that was on NCL Escape.......the food, entertainment (including the excellent 'Choir of men show'), service etc were all amazing. Couldn't fault anything. Moreover we got a great deal to sail 10 days around Italy, France, Malta & Spain. We really think NCL should be in the top 5! They really are good value for money. Yes we loved the 2 cruises we did on Celebrity but recently has just got too expensive. Good video though and waiting for your experience on HAL, Marella & river cruises like TUI & Viking
I have to agree with you when it comes to MSC Cruise Line. I have taken two cruises with MSC in the last four years. The food was okay, but hit or miss at times. I never went to any of the shows, so I can not comment on that. I definitely agree that the prices were considerably cheaper than other cruise lines i looked into. For me, while the food could be better, I was happy with it considering the price for the cruise. My last cruise was an 11 day cruise that started in Spain and ended in Germany. It was probably the best trip I have experienced. For the price, I am quite happy with MSC Cruise Line.
All cruise lines older ships show wear, and have less to offer! Your list is really comes to each person's taste, desires, and ability to afford! It also comes down to a person's own experiences on a cruise line! I think you explained that well, what's right for one isn't right for another! With the 10 lines you offered, likely no one would agree totally with anyone else!-)) I will agree with you on 1 thing, Carnivals Excel class is really something, we like it far more than the other cruise lines larger classes!
This was so fantastic. A lot of people have sailed on one or two lines, but wouldn’t have sailed on enough to know the difference with the others. I wondered where Holland America was in your ranking though?
Have sailed on royal Caribbean, Holland America, Norwegianand Carnival many repeat bookings over 30 years. Just booked a week medical continuing education program on Celebrity’s Alaska cruise July 2025. After your review I can’t wait. Agree that the food has been an issue lately across many brands.
Princess is my favourite. I like classic ships, a laid back atmosphere, good food and drink, quiet places to relax and read, good pools, and a focus on travel.
Absolutely!
Sounds like my kind of cruise. Have done Royal and NCL and they're not for me. Being on a floating amusement park full of kids is not my idea of a vacation.
unfortunately, it seems as if Princess is lately losing more and more of the qualities you just mentioned
I agree
Me too!

Please. Please sail on Holland American. Go on the Koningsdam, the Statedam or the Rotterdam. They have great staff, great entertainment and wonderful food!
Agreed. Holland America has been around for 150 years and one of the best cruises we went on. The food quality was a surprise.
HAL is the best!
I used to love Holland, just sailed Eurodam, the food was almost not even edible, service was appalling, I'm very sad for them, once a wonderful line. Too many cuts, overworked staff, everyone was miserable, such a shame.
Surprised you didn’t even mention Holland America. They are terrific!
@@rodchris8630Ben mentioned them at the end. He couldn’t rate them as he hasn’t sailed HAL yet
We've also only had wonderful experiences with MSC
Sailed Celebrity Beyond in July. In a word, WONDERFUL!
Definitely! thankyou :)
Looking great Ben!!!
Ok I am going to try Celebrity now, I have been watching them, we are NCL fans but want to change, will definitely be going on Celebrity next.
Thankyou
This was very informative, and you have a very relaxing voice, Ben. 😊
Thank you!
I only sail HAL. They're the perfect line for me. Can't wait to go on Koningsdam to Alaska next summer.
🆒 😊 I've heard a lot "nobody does Alaska like Holland America"
Southern Alaska is beautiful,.worked for a summer there
I’ve only been on one cruise and it was a Disney Cruise.
We were on the Celebration on 10/13/24 and didn't enjoy it as well as some of the older ships! Cabin was smaller buffet was a train reck!
100% agree people have very different opinions. Loved this video. When you do cruise Holland America, I would suggest Alaska and make sure it goes to Glacier Bay National Park! Also, one of their newer ships. Thank you for your review.
This is essential watching. Excellent comparison. Thank you 😊 Ben, you’re looking svelte here. Ready for your closeup!
You put so much work into this video! 🎉 It’s fantastic.
I like how it seems to hurt you to give ships a low rating. Thank you for this review! Very helpful! ❤
Thank you so much!
Thank you my Fav Gentlemens' very informative, now I want to go on a Disney Cruise.
I’ve been on 8 cruise lines and this is my order from best to worst
1. Princess
2. Cunard
3. Royal Caribbean
4. P&O
5. Celebrity Cruises
6. Ambassador
7. Norwegian Cruises
😮 I'm surprised
Personally, i find MSC to offer a better product (in relation to the price) than the other lines. You get the best private island on the market, super cheap drink packages, they may upgrade you for free if you get a guaranteed rate room, food options aren't terrible, and you can easily get a 7 day cruise for less than $500-600 easily
Overall I tend to agree with you. Not the best food or service in the industry, but for what you get for the price it’s hard to beat.
@@brantthompson199exactly. If you want the best food and drinks, go spend 2-3 times more on another line that takes you to the same destinations with much more expensive drinks packages and options
Haven't tried them yet. Only been on two cruises so far. But The Weekend Cruisers Brandon seems time them.
They're great value but soooo chaotic
Thank you! Looking to book in may!!!
Same - also looking at Viking and HAL and would love to see where they’d fit into this ranking.
This was very informative. Thanks!
I agree with your son!
Your videos always make me smile! Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
Love your content! The production of this content is fabulous and Ben is such a great personality to head up the show that has my daughters saying “stooning” every time we watch your superb content…love the channel!
SPOT ON!! Awesome and fair assessment!
Great review! I am an unrepentant Royal Caribbean loyalist, but Celebrity sounds like something I'd love to experience.
Loved Princess. ❤
Thank you for this thorough review!
Loved this video! Thank you!
Thank you Guys for this woderful and fully informational video! Really appreciate it. Liked and Subscribed!
Ambassador are such good value for money with mid size, friendly ships and fantastic itineraries IMHO!
Also, the shows on Ambassador are AMAZING!! Dancers and singers are top notch! West end standard shows!!
I don’t know why you are giving 4.5 for P&O, we took our first ever cruise with them recently and they are absolutely amazing in every way! everything you said about them simply isn’t correct! They were brilliant on every level ❤🚢
The Coral Princess was fabulous.
I love your channel!
Thankyou for watching :)
Yeah I agree after this review I’m really excited to go on Virgin in the future.
We want to try Virgin as well!
Absolutely Love Celebrity Cruises. They are our first choice! We've been with them for lots of years. We are spoiled by the Suite Life but it is worth every penny. Love the perks with both the suites and their loyalty program.
What a great video! Very helpful. Keep up the good work!
Spot on about the top 2 -- Celebrity and Disney.
My wife and I are planning our first cruise, so this was extremely helpful!!’
Very informative! Thanks
Thank you so much!
My wife and I really enjoyed this video!
We have a Celebrity cruise booked for Jan 2026 and cant wait to try them!
Great video. Very helpful. We have cruised several times on Holland, but will try Celebrity next!
I really love the hammocks on the virgin balconies. Best place to have a relaxed read. The layout of the rooms can feel a bit odd and small at times.
Xx
Great video. I will check out Celebrity - may be a good fit for us - thanks!
Where would your stay on MSC Explora rate on the ranking scale?
Thanks so much for this info!! You guys are amazing, and I look forward to your vids every Sunday evening. Ben you are looking wonderful!! 💞
Appreciate all that hard work and you are REALLYYYY REALLLY LOVELY 🥰
Yesh ncl is great
I have to agree with you when it comes to MSC Cruise Line.
With the 10 lines you offered, likely no one would agree totally with anyone else!-))
I will agree with you on 1 thing, Carnivals Excel class is really something,
we like it far more than the other cruise lines larger classes!
Our top 3 are Holland, Celebrity, and Princess.
Nicely done. Just fyi… the Carnival Serenity deck for adults only is free of charge.
