Thanks for another lovely video. I can never unsee that herons tongue🤣😂 Paddle boarding is one of my favourite things but the next time I pass a heron I will definitely be averting my eyes😂 Respect for boating through that weather!
Loved this video as it is very much homeland to me. Lived my first year of married life next to the canal watching the waterfolk drive by. Many moons ago now.
Lovely filming and editing as always. I can’t help but watch all of that rain pouring off the boat and think ‘surely there’s a way to capture that in a gutter type system and divert it to your tanks’ to save you having to stop for water so often. It’s England after all, where the rain is plentiful!!
The Heron!!!! Eagle eye Andrew spots a bike in need of rescue 🛟 but is able to resist the temptation. I think the rescue of the swan and toad made up for it. Beautiful cinematography Wolverton mural was very creative. The Limford moorings looked beautiful. Kris your voiceover is perfect as usual. Braunston 33, 35, 40. You are hard core wet boaters!! 😊🤗 Kathy
I just love your videos , what you capture is just beautiful, love the sound of the rain must sound nice in the boat and with the fire 🔥 going nice and cozy after being so wet from the rain 🌧️, can’t wait for the next video 📚💕📚
Oh bless you both well soaked lovely camera work as always 😘 and the heron stalker 😅Seriously you both deserve a slice of cake 🎂 and a nice cup of tea ❤
Haha! I will never look at a heron the same way again😂😂. We have the same ones in the USA. Enjoyed watching all the fall rain since it is 110F here today 😅. Great work beautiful film❤️
Right now the Mississippi Delta is very hot and dry. Seeing this makes me feel cooler 😂. Thank you for sharing this, but I’m not into bird tongues either 😂😜😆
The rain added to the beauty. Lurvely cinematography. You had a taste of how it was for the commercial boaters. Such is the contrast, I'd really like to see a recreation of commercial boating for one week a year - no speed limits, boats driven hard for 12+ hours a day. In the war I read that they had a one way system in/out of Birmingham.
Brrr, it might not have been cold but it sure looked like it, that’s when you want a nice long hot shower or bath but….i guess getting the stove going to dry you out comes in handy. Great save on Mr. Toad👍🏼 he must have been exhausted, looked it anyway as he lay sprawled with all four appendages out. 😂 Happy cruising in I’m sure better weather now. 🙋🏼♀️
An excellent Vlog - some of your shots were gorgeous and your story was very watchable. I am just about to embark on a 59 mile, 12 day cruise on Kestrel (62ft narrowboat) and I am hoping that my cameras and me are able to do justice to our trip with a UA-cam video! You get a sub from me.
A hot strong wind means wild fires in Australia. I never like wind that is hot, especially when it is a strong wind. Turns out they mean trouble on the way in the UK as well, but in your case they say a storm is on the horizon. Neither sound like great options. Looked like a long day, hopefully your moving home was warm and cosy when you got inside.
Birds are weird, but they're basically modern dinosaurs, so there's that. I'll take a heron with its floppy rat tail tongue over a Canadian goose every day of the year though - those guys have hooks on their tongues and will attack you without warning.
I love the way Andrew films you, Kris. A very loving gaze.
Lucky man
❤ I see this too - beautiful relationship 💞😍😍
the heron's tongue, how I love the stuff you come up with, just keep it up!!! Thanks!!!
The swan at the end like 'what's her problem. Just a bit of o' weather.'
Totally 😂😂😂
Thanks for another lovely video.

In fairness, we’ve got a solid dose of the reality of boating here, still loved it though. The slo-mo rain was very pleasant (to watch).
Thank you! ☔️☔️☔️

That black raincoat really suits you, Kris.
Thanks! I’ve certainly got a lot of wear out of it in the last year 🤪
Good work rescuing the toad they live on land really
Like the way that you video the interesting bits of the gardens you pass. Nice easy going vibe again. Thank you.

That would be very cool! I wouldn’t last a day 😂

Aww come on , you’re locked and loaded now. And think of the wildlife you’ve saved along the way. 8 down 61 (?) more to go. ❤

Sometimes it may be a bad place to stop . Yes wide beam boats are only on the canals that are wide .
Weather is just a bit wet .Well a lot wetter there at that time. Well a lot of narrow boats stop and then move on when the sun is out.
Mr toad is safe at least. Good cruise you two. I just went through harecastle tunnel solo, I didn’t like it much
Wow, that’s very impressive! Are you heading somewhere specific, or just cruising casually?
