Why? There’s still a small amount of fuel still left in the carb bowl that will still gel up even though its allowed to run until it dies. Been there done that
Turn on the economy mode, pull the trigger on your blower and see if it goes to high idle or if it can run 800 watts at idle like my Honda 2000i. I just bought a Firman 2000w and it won't run my wifes 800 watt curling iron/dryer w/O review up and it's NOT quiet.😡. Gonna send it back, spend more and buy another Honda.😕
Enamel Larry I’ll give that a try this weekend. I already hit around 1550w with a hairdryer, without the overload light coming on. Tomorrow I can change the oil and run a full load test.
Mine won't stay running off eco mode for more than 5 minutes at 4850rpm. Runs fine with eco on. Tested for 1 hour with a 1350w resistive load (heater), it is down to 110v @ 4400rpm. 600w loads, it is good at 120v @ 3500rpm. Totals 6.5hr with 3 oil change and using magnetic dripstick. With eco off, running 4850 rpm, it will not start my 5 gallon compressor. May be sending it back.

Please sir!!! Break it in and test the load of 1900 -2350 watts. I’ve seen reviews that said it only put out 1500 watts before it overload.
