If you are going through the trouble of adding oil to the cylinder you should use a non synthetic oil for brake in or it won't break in. Champion recommends running the generator for 5 hours with under 50 per sent load and then changing the oil to synthetic oil. Champion makes the same generator and you can't tell the difference between the two. I have the Champion and the only difference is mine is the dual fuel.
