i have a 2t motorcycle. i try to standby it with more 2t oil, it still goes bad. the settings still clog up. now I will observe the ATF oil now. but I think it is the perfect receipt for it to not destroy the carbs.
Thanks for updating your previous video on this subject! Great technique I will start using on snowblowers and generators. One comment I do have about your production values - you might consider adjusting your volume levels to make them all the same, but louder than the last segment in this video. It’s kind of a pain having to constantly adjust the volume as you switch from one segment to the next and then fill in with some music which is much louder. Other than that, great job!
I like fuel filters that are clear so you can see if there is a bunch of junk in there. No reason any small engine should not have one. Also keep a spare around, because when you need the genset, you don't want the filter plugging up
I just installed a fuel filter like you suggested. Thanks. Also, I couldn't find a transmission bottle with the special top on it so I used a 5 cc/5 ml little syringe to squirt the trans fluid into the carburetor.
When you need to put a fuel filter or remove a hose that is stuck use some w d40 or something to lubricate the hose it will loosen it up and u can get by with the old hard hoses for testing purposes great videos
I have learned I can acquire more practical knowledge from a backyard mechanic than from a tech grad. Those little tips are from experience, not from a classroom. All I run is Non-Ethanol fuel in everything. I have bring it in 55gal drums to fill my tank but the headache is worth it. Just a suggestion: I would have sprayed a B.G. or sea foam product in the carb intake before I tightened the new fuel line and added a heavy dose to the fuel before I tried to start it. It has paid off for me. Looking forward to another video from you sir!
I do that with marine grade two stroke oil, does same thing, I use ethanol premium grade fuel. Can’t get non ethanol in Detroit metro area. I’ve seen non ethanol north of here.
if I knew for sure I was going to use it in the next 2-3 months I wouldn't worry about it. but usually you never know when you are going to need your generator. I might need mine next week, or it may not need it until 5 years from now.
2-Cycle engine oil, in the Carb will keep it clean and the Prime Button from hardening.
Ive watched both of these videos on the long term storage. Great information. Thanks!
That ATF makes sense has more detergent gonna use it this time, putting lawn mower and warm weather equipment up.
Don’t forget a head lamp handy. I swear I did this to my generator when you did the first vid 3 pulls smoke fart boom. Thanks
I ware a cap light all the time, as a life time mechanic it’s just handy 😮
I can listen to you all day, great job and thanks for sharing your wisdom

nice. as long as you get some in the fuel bowl it will be fine. good idea using a syringe.
Another one in the books! Thanks again for the content.
I plan on putting a three way valve on the fuel line with a filter. That way I can drain off the old gas.
I agree, seems screen in tank valve will stop up every time with a full tank 😢😢😢
Very good info. Watched your earlier ATF video and just did that to my generator, looking forward to an easy start next time. Thanks!
Marvel mystery oil works also a d its make to go in gas/diesel
Thanks for helping us with the videos, continued blessings, and you have my warmest regards !!
Great !! thanks

Awesome
Great content, you are definitely right on about , you have to burn what you can find in a hurricane situation.

When disassembling, take lots of pictures.
Thanks again. Great video. I will try that on an old mower I don't use in a while, like 4 years.
Thanks for the video. I am new to generators. Since I rarely use mine, I need to know how to put it away, ready for the next use.
great thanks for your knowledge will do this for winter
Do you do anything with Harbor Freight predator generators?
Awesome video, man. The ATF makes total sense. Now let’s get some footage of that black hardbody in the background. Haha
it's definitely happening at some point
Thank you sooo much for the super ideas Ill be using them on all my small engines as I understand what you didworks on 4 strokes, what about 2 strokes
Could you use this on those big ass generators the newer ones or long as it's a small engine I'm good?
I do that with marine grade two stroke oil, does same thing, I use ethanol premium grade fuel. Can’t get non ethanol in Detroit metro area. I’ve seen non ethanol north of here.
Can this technique be used on two-stroke engines like chainsaws etc?
Damn when i picked mine up after ida i used synthetic atf because it's all i could find i guess imma find out if it's ok
Do you have any alternative suggestions if I don't have a gear oil dispensing tip?
No corn gas folks. Please listen 😊
Has to do with none of the small engine shops don't want to touch generators for some reason.
I work on them all the time,
Just other day 😊
Great video , would you do this after every use ? Or for short term or long term or all the above ?
if I knew for sure I was going to use it in the next 2-3 months I wouldn't worry about it. but usually you never know when you are going to need your generator. I might need mine next week, or it may not need it until 5 years from now.
I've got a Generac generator with bad start battery, traded for a new chainsaw. I need to get it running BEFORE TSHTF.
People just don’t understand that they have to take care of equipment and service it often 😢😢😢
a link to the fuel line
I put a link in the description for a 25' ft roll. that's what I can find on Amazon. you can buy it by the foot at your local auto part stores.
