You should only ever attempt this in a rental car. Even if you make it through, you could get some water in the transmission which will destroy it prematurely later on.
I had a Ford Focus mk3 and know air intake is located as high as possible, right under the hood. And filter air box has some sort of drainage port. But why Ford Transit have a less robust intake, despite being higher?
With the amount of water that has recently leaked into my Mk3 Ford Focus, through poor design and cheap rubber seals, then driving through that flood couldn't have added to the problem.
Fiat 500 same car as mine you can get away with going through floods as the air filter intake is on top of the engine and the engine is quite far off the ground but i would not risk mine in that way lol
