I think that these will be very competitive then as well. The Micro Planars used the the Treble section does make these quite special.

Hi, very good review. I want to ask something. I've had a Falcon Ultra for under $300, a Studio4 for under $500, an SA6 MK2 for under $750 and a U4S for under $1,500. Am I missing something if I don't buy this Dusk?
I think what the Dusk can offer you is a new way of Treble rendering. It is similar to that of an EST where it is just effortless. So that can be quite interesting.

Of I did listen to the N3Ultra for quite a while recently.
It has the glorious tube sound where it is organic and a little more mid centric. I rather like it except tht this sort of sound isn't as versatile as I'd like but for voices it is divine.

also how much better is the dusk compare to ea1000?
It is more relaxed in the upper mids compared to the Tanchjim with a tighter bass response.
I would say that the EA1000 is slightly weaker compared to the dusk as I feel that the Dusk renders music more effortlessly compared to it as well.

How about recommending three or four alternative cables worthy of this product. And also some ear tips. Would Devinus Velvet's be superior to what's in the box?
And comparisons? How does it compare to Kiwi Ears Quintet? Gizaudio Chopin? Blessing 2?
Moondrop Variations? Truthear Novas?
Finally, is this really the category killer in the $300 range some reviewers have claimed it to be?
Oh I have some cable that just came in! Depending on my mode, I like the Vortex Cable Minera with the Dusk if I want clarity to be the priority. Occasionally I swap them out with the Vortex Cable Alida which has a warmer charecter and gives more body.
In terms of eartips, I think the Divinus Velvets would be an upgrade but I personally like the Azla Earfit Lights on these as they preserve a lot of the effortless high-end energy.
@@SuperChonk Thank you. I'm seriously considering the Dusk as a splurge. I don't think I'd like the DSP cable, but between Timmy's EQ to get the Default DSP via analog PEQ and your tips regarding cable and eat tips, I might find them to be just about right. Thanks again.
with moondrop claiming the Dusk's significant channel imbalance is within acceptable perimeters and passes their QC, I don't think a gamble buy should be a blind buy.
Apparently crin ask them to improve QC processes so this shouldn't happen as much going forward.
@@hpwrotethis did moondrop confirm? e.g., if crin tells them to improve QC, then tells us that before moondrop confirms, then crin is tricking us to buy it. i could get screwed if moondrop actually didnt confirm.
moondrop has to officially acknowledge defect and exchange/refund all units. if moondrop didn't do that at the time crin told us that message, then crin is essentially tricking us to keep buying.
so, most important for me is whether moondrop said anything because if it's only crin, then it's a trap. only moondrop's statement is important cause anything else will screw us over.

Seems like something I would love and could be a great iem for most, although for the price the analog cable sucks
Yeah the issue with the DSP cable is that the Type C port on its own does not provide enough juice for the Dusk. I found it to be serviceable if not a little muted in dynamics and loved it more when using a proper dongle or dap.
Excited for DaVinci, Dusk kinda got me feeling meh.
I tried both personally Dusk edges out Davinci just slightly for me.
@@SuperChonk Interesting! Can't wait for DaVinci to come out so I can decide which to get. Recently got Origins and looking forwards to a hybrid set in midfi endgame.
@@deparoo You won't go wrong with either. The Davinci sports a suppressed 2k/3k as well. Both Dusk and Davinci will be quite different/relaxed compared to the Origin :)

Dusk is the undisputed sub $800 king (or queen , due to the waifu art 🤣) Beats the Hype 4, the Hype 10, Meteor, Volare, 7hz Aurora and the Variations. It can even compete with sets above $800. Just pray that you won't get shafted from the QC lottery 😅
What are the QC issues noted so far in dusk?
