Chu 2 kicks ass. Changed cable and spinfit tips. For $18.99.. love it!!
Although moondrop is notorious for their qc issues, I had the og chu and it was built like a tank. For the most affordable good IEM in the market(at the time) it was definitely great. (I still had the fkn filter problem so yeah even though it was built like a tank it wasn't functional for long)
Should have been called JIU 2 at this point considering the moment you swap cable the tuning becomes completely different. If there is a preset to allow you to go back to the original chu 2 tuning then that should have been the default because this could be misleading to a lot of people who aren't sure what DSP is. Execute it in a similar manner to the May if we're keeping the Chu 2 name where its the original tuning along with a recommended EQ preset.

Does the Chu 2 DSP come with spring tips? That used to be the best selling point…pay $10 extra to get an IEM with your tips
It doesn't. Regular tips.
The main appeal of the OG Chu IMO, we're the Spring Tips. It was $13 back then so basically, you were only paying an addition $7 for the IEMs themselves..
So kinda disappointed when the Chu 2 arrived being more expensive but did not perform as well as the OG and didn't have any Spring Tips either.
@@Jp_116 Yeah, but spring tips as good as they are, aren't for everyone. I have a few in my case, but haven't used them in a while. Chu I and II are great budget iems, regardless. I'd buy them again.

We had the Chu then the Chu Chu and now the Chu DSP (pronounced "disp")
Yeah, I was a bit confused when my Chu 2 arrived 5 days ago. The waifu was different and the cable too, unlike what was advertised on the online shop I bought it. Fortunately, I have a female type c to male 3.5mm jack adapter and type c port on my laptop.
But was it a better waifu or a worse waifu?

This Tangzu nezha tuning might be preferable for LOUDER listening session since the pina gain is tamed down.
It will depends if the treble execution / extension is as intimidating as the graph suggest.
How does it compare to the Performer5?
For me that one is enjoyable at high volumes for sure.
I have demo 'ed the Nezha here in the PH first impression of mine is that it's really warm and relaxed i think it requires more extension or air IMO :3

2:08 that is exactly what I felt after getting the regular Chu2. The OG Chu is much better sounding in my opinion

It measures different so It's more than that.
@@roadtonever but the drivers arent tuned differently its just eq-ed through the cable. so its only a tiny bit more than a chu 2 with a different cable, basically negligible difference.
@@kaeroseon It depends. Some might value the added EQ preset, others will feel the same as you. The same conversation was had when One DSP was released.
@@roadtonever Thats why I said its only a tiny bit more than a regular chu 2, because at least the cable does something and isnt just there to have a type C connection with a built in DAC that is worse or at best the same as any 10 dollar dongle out there.

wan'er and zero 2 are the safest sounding while the hola and chu 2 has the best accesories.

@@beyondan really nice cable and pouch for the price. The wan’er has a terrible cable and the zero 2 has no pouch.
That chu 2 cable is quite alarming if it's the same material as Quarks as it might get stiff faster than usual.
Tangzu really missed the opportunity to make that case more versatile insjde. It already looks like some decent handbag from a fashion brand.
Is this the same cable Moondrop sells as "cdsp" cable? It looks very close to it. I'm thinking of buying this for my Truthear Hola. Just hoping I don't blow my money off on a shitty quality cable.

I don't get how he evaluates a set based on listening to a single song from beginning to end. I have approximately 7-8 familiar songs from different genres that I listen to quickly in sections. His way just seems inefficient.
That's why it's called "first impression"
@@nurkoleptik_art If he's short on time he can listen briefly to a few more songs, instead one a generic pop song the whole way through. Nothing's stopping him from doing an in-depth review after that. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Review requires a lot more time to A/B test with other sets, tip roll, etc.
