  • In this episode, I take an SL350 k1 that I purchased recently, and fix her all up.
This video shows the process of carburetor rebuild, valve clearance set, point gap and spark plug gap, as well as several other required maintenance procedures.

New subscriber! I love it! I had a 1972 CL350 Scrambler. I gave it to my son and he still owns it.

I had one just like it back in the day. Rode it everywhere. Sure wish I had it now.

You have done a beautiful job of bringing this bike back to its original condition ! When I was much younger I had a new one just like it with a couple of exceptions. Mine was RED and it had an electric starter. I still believe that it was the most beautiful cycle I had ever seen. I've owned many Hondas such as the 160 and the 305 (broke my leg on the 305). Later on I owned others but I kick myself often for selling the 350. What fantastic lines. Simply a work of art. I am in my 70's now and I would love to have another just to mount on a pedestal in my living room to admire.

Way back in the day (73ish) I owned a 1970 SL350 in the same color as yours. It had a few differences. It had an electric start, the headlight mount was chrome, the mufflers had a small chrome skid plate mounted to them, and finally the front fender had a silver panted tubular mount on top of the fender. It really was a beautiful bike. A little heavy for full off road work though. I sold it and got a 250 Elsinore, now that was a true off road bike, but I always missed that SL350...

Forgot one thing, Honda has a recall on the gas cap. They replace that push button release with a slotted turn key release. You can use your key or any flat tip screw driver to open the gas cap with. Personally I preferred the push button set up...

Happy to discover your channel. I am currently restoring an SL175 K0. It will be followed by an SL350 K0. My 350 only has about 3500 miles on it. I had Randy Marble repaint the bodywork for both bikes. He does as good a job as you will find and the colors are very authentic. I also have a SL125. I just bought a US-made reproduction exhaust that is first-rate (equal to OEM).

Hi Lyle, I live in Australia and I’m certain I sent you a reply about your other SL350 ( the yellow one ), I also watched your video on the SL175, which was great as I had one myself back in 1973.
However I must say that the blue SL350 that you are working on is in remarkedly good condition for its age! ( but now even better )
I really enjoyed watching all your video’s
