Good to see you back Rob and Karen. I think the lil door that slid open in the back of the sewing machine cabinet the lady was showing y'all was to make room for the cast iron pump pedal that would have been used back then. In the evenings it would appear to just be a free standing finished cabinet but during the day the lady of the house would slid that open for the foot pump to operate while sewing. Does that make sense lol. Anyways have a great day you two!

Enjoyed the variety of things you found in this video. Love the old German book from the 1600’s. Boggles my mind thinking about who handled it and read it all those years ago...and how thick it is. Liked the little glimpse of your yard while Karen was working on the shakes.

My wife and I found one of the best estate sales two weeks ago. We bought a lot of items, turned out we had a mutual friend and we talked for a long time, she wound up giving us everything on the property. Lots of stuff was not even put out for sale. We cleaned out the property for a week. We have soooooo much stuff, were still going through everything.
AWESOME!!! What a great thing for your friend to do, to help keep that stuff out of a landfill!!! AWESOME!!! You guys must have had a bast going through all that stuff!!! Hope you found some real treasures!!! I know you're still going through it, wish I could be there with the camera!! HA! Sounds totally awesome-sauce!

Authorities have been unsuccessful in confining the “Bargain Barons” to self imposed home confinement. The pair have distinctive tattoos, frequently seen drinking Rock Star, and are considered to be flush with cash and an insatiable appetite for “old stuff”. Please be advised they are armed with a small handheld UV device and are frequently in possession of uranium containing objects. A year’s supply of assorted snacks are being offered for their capture.

Hiya! I was thinking you two sounded nutzier than usual...gotta be the lockdown!---I think that phone was likely a lobby phone, pages to guests in the lobby would be directed to the house phone. I had a jadeite green one from the 50's, plastic, had a bell but no dial to call out on. ---Yours sure cleaned up enviably!---I don't have good enough German skills, but it would be great to know what the content of that tome is!
In France old books are cheap. I got 2 1688 & 1745 books for 8 euros!
Oh I know, Europe and France have such AMAZING and OLD antique items, it makes our 100 year old items look new still!! 😆😆 It's one of our dreams to come pick for a month or so in Europe!!! 😍😄
