You guys!!!I....I 've watched lots of videos from the US but watching you guys is like watching family..I'm from Ontario and just love your videos..there's something about fellow Canadians that is so special and familiar..thanks for all the entertainment..
Wow great score.... quick flip on some items..... :) I remember riding in a stroller like that, with a thin pad... ....Funny how back then babies/kids didn't have to be bound with straps and buckles...and survived...The mica in lantern brought back memories... My Mom took us to Ruggles Mine in NH many years ago and I hauled out toy sand buckets with mica I found... I also found small pieces of torbernite and amethyst.... That doll with no eyes are wicked creepy..... Enjoyed this video and loved the fact it was longer.... :)
1) That rocking stool may be a gout stool!---2) I watch plenty of British antique shows, and they'd call that globe a 'Frankenstein'!---3) $25 seems like a bargain for the old barn wood!---3) That red hat is likely a 'portrait hat', designed to fit flat on the top, held in place with hat pins! Looked good on Karen!---4) I wonder what plans the new owner of the typewriter has for it!
Amazing hall on this video!! I am in Houston Texas and a huge fan of yours! I wake up in the morning and I sit down with a cup of coffee and watch the video that you have posted that morning! I have watched every video that you have every posted and I am loving the remaking of your old video's! One day I would love to visit Canada it looks beautiful! Thanks again for sharing your video's!!!
Man he was really working it, ya sure you don’t need the organ?? That is a real nice kitchen table. 🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️ Good finds though. Thanks for helping him out now comes the Tetris into the truck🤭
I just came across your website by chance, and what a fun thing to watch, given that I just love to go through antiques and vintage stuff- not to sell anymore, but just to be the custodian for a while so I can enjoy the item, and just cherish it for whatever it may be.
Almost an hour with my friends.. couldn't make me more happy 😊💕🍀 .. great picking and great stories.. those people must be very creative to come up with all those puzzles and stories.. wouldn't that be something, to sit around the table and come up with great adventures 😊 .. glad you've sold a lot of it already 🍀 .. would like to know more about that glass Rob was fond of 🙃😊.. thanks for sharing sweethearts 😘 🙏 .. gonna share this vid with my friends on FB 😊
Thanks so much Alice!!! :D :D :D That's so nice of you to share our videos on your FB page!!!! =D =D =D Can you refresh my memory... I just don't know what glass you are referring to that I was fond of....
So many pieces I would have bought from you! We are in a newer log cabin with crap 'n stuff all over. Luckily, I'm short and don't dust over my height...well, okay, I really don't dust much. We live in a historic town and we can go outside and pick up all kinds of neat broken glass, ceramics and rusty junk to bring inside! Loved the crate with stuff inside. I own most all the stuff inside it already!
🇺🇸Greetings Rob &Karen. This was a great treasure hunt. No good deed is too small. I'm so glad he remembered you, & that you treated him great. Be safe, healthy &blessed always
Too many awesome items to mention! Nice fellow, remembering you and giving you your own private shopping experience! You were kind to him, proof that what goes around comes around!! Very interesting story about the house too.
So hard when seller says how much? Your so nice to try to be fair. Get that strange Mannequin in basement your reaction would be the same to a buyer it is unique. You guys play so well together like a well oiled machine. Have been so glad you have content for winter to share . Thank you for doing you we are happy to be along for the ride.
Hi Rob & Karen, Great pick and some nice items for your collection. You made $90.00 profit, still have the best items to sell that you might not want to keep and got your framed pictures and lithograph for your collection for free. Can't ask for much better results. Hope this is how 2020 will continue for you. Love your videos and the two of you because you are such nice people. All the best, David
Thanks so much David for all your support and fantastic comments!!!! We're blessed to have great subs like yourself and we look forward to what 2020 has to bring!!! =D =D =D
What a lovely man to ask you to come and buy his stuff and a hell of a great deal too. Love you both braving the cold weather to bring us quality entertainment picking antiques. Its far better than the Debbie downer morning news.
Nice haul...There is a Barbie sized version of that plaid cooler that sells for decent money ($20-40) I kept wondering if you would grab it every time you would walk by. Thanks for the videos. NJ
Really enjoyed this video.. So much things?! Like a child in a toy shop for me. Those dolls look like a horror film I watched last night 😂. My fav item was the pram. Thanx guys taking us with u on fill the truck day❤️❤️
I have one of those tins from Germany that was full of cookies when we lived in Germany in the 70s my husband was stationed in Nurnburg Germany You got some great things from this guy wow..
Negotiations are never easy even when you have a motivated seller! You guys are fair, honest, and realistic. I think Rob should run for Mayor! Karen could open a liquidation company.
Hahahahaha. I've seriously thought about entering local politics, but I fear the channel would suffer as I would be working for the people.... so for now, I will stick to vlogging and bargaining. :) hahahahaha/
Haha Hi Linda!! =) Yes we are working on it... our full-time jobs get in the way of our passion some times and cause delays.. =) hahahaha. We'll announce on out channel once we have it up and running. I think another reason for delay is there isn't much to pick here in the winter months,m so we don't have a lot to list right now....
See looky there. Y’all were trying to help him. And it worked out in your favor. I am going to see if we have something like his business around here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Tx area. I haven’t heard of anything quite like that. Maybe I’ll have a new business venture. Lol ;)
Barn wood in the states starts out at 1.00 a sqaure ft and up. That plaid thermos should also sell well at least it would in the states. Vintage and modern farm is really in. I wish shipping wasnt so expensive. I really liked that thermos snd the triple frame. I would say you got a great deal.
Great finds. Does the clock chime on the hour? I have 12 clocks that bong/chime on the hour when I remember to wind them. Two of them are the tall kitchen clocks from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
Yes, I would refer to those as barristers bookcases. we have several ourselves... typically here they would cost about $200 - #350 per section, so a 3 tiered one would run a guy $600 - $750 approx.

Hi kids,Holy shorts!, Not everyday you can shop a no pressure sale, pays to be nice!!! Feel sorry for those people, having to bend to rediculous city policies!!! You found some really neat stuff, may be wrong, but, don't they call that Mica, ising glass? ,Spelling probably wrong, I forget! At least you made some good money! Stay Cool, stay warm, what an oxymoron, that's me! Love you guys, best, Carol
We have never had any strange noises or sounds or occurrences in our house, with ALL the old things we have brought in. We have never had anything strange happen. If there are spirits here, they must be happy.
If you are going to sell on Etsy that Crewel picture you called embroidery sell great! Very desirable. Why did you separate the sewing machine and case? On facebook there is a site to sell those sewing machines. They go for 350 to 500. I was going to try to buy.
Hi Sue!! Turns out the case did NOT go with that machine as we originally thought. I realize in large cities like Toronto or New York, those are worth a fortune. Here, where I live, they're everywhere. We run into them several times per month at sales - everyone has one, so they are not hot sellers here. Now with selling online, shipping from Canada is very expensive, and price depends on distance being shipped, and weight of the item. These things are HEAVY. It likely would literally cost $200 or more just to ship it. So.... if it's worth $250, and we by it for $10, and ship it for $200, there's $40 profit, minus any fees we have to pay - it just makes it not worth the hassle. I wish we had US shipping rates - we'd be buying and selling those things all day. Really, what a guy needs to do, is rent a huge truck (U-Haul) and come here, load it up, drive it all back to New York. That would probably make it worth while.
Some models of machines are very common even if you think it looks rare. At one time almost every home had one. I have 9 various years from 1919 treadle to the 60s. People think I paid a lot for my treadle at $125. The only machines that really go for a lot that ive seen re featherweights, they have to be pristine and all accessories to be $500. Also you cant compare to a place like eBay if its just listed. Asking is not selling. If you see it, it snot sold.

@@BargainBarons Thanks for the reply Rob. I bought an old Singer with cast iron base a few years ago at Goodwill for $6 (US). I used the base with a live edge maple wood slab I bought to make a sideboard. I researched the serial #, it's from 1916. Still have the sewing machine. Brings back memories of mom sewing on hers. Thanks for the videos. Hi Karen!
As I viewed your truck loading adventure I immediately thought about these flashlights that are on 'What the Hales' channel. They had some very similar problems and the videos were also very dark. This was their solution and I think it would really help you. The lights are also magnetic so it helps on vehicles and other metals plus they stand etc. Enjoyed the video. Heres the site: olight.idevaffiliate.com/idev...
Awesome pick. No real standout but just the same... Knowing me, once the seller let his gurad down, I would start grabbing everything. I know you have to be picky and are constrained by space but motivated sellers are few and far between. I honor your constraint.
@@BargainBarons All is well. Thank you for asking. Admittedly, I have fallen behind in viewing your, and other's, videos but I plan to catch up soon. There have been a lot of pleasant distractions throughout the holidays and more than a few hockey games to attend in our town.
@@alanatolstad4824 so true. I think they are beautiful. I work at a German restaurant, owned by my best friends who have been here in Canada since 2000. They have a couple of them that we use for some of our truffle making supplies.
It’s a lot of work saving and selling old stuff. The prices you sell for seem low to me. I live on Long Island ,NY. Am I the only person who did not like the plaid thermos?
You are right we sell low, a lot of the people who buy from Karen are actually resellers, so Karen knows she is selling them lower than she could......
Do u folks buy toys like star war figures, lunch box’s, teenage mutant ninja turtles, vintage g I joe figure, Barbie dolls n holiday barbies, George Washington lamps, pink depression glass n old mantle clocks with columns on each end. Thanks
Hi Kirk - we mostly collect turn of the century Victoria era antiques, however I do have a small vintage toy collection in that large display case you asked about in another video.
Ya these GoPro cameras are more meant for outdoor daytime filming... being so small, there's not a lot of light coming into that small lens when we're indoors unfortunately.

awesome sweet fines,wow
Also do u run across a lot of 3tier bookshelves with glass on the front flaps. N the cost?

How do you feel about rocking chairs, love them in fact I have a whole room with old rocking chairs big and small.
Very cool!

@@BargainBarons PLEASE! I would LOVED TO HAVE THE PLAID THERMOS!
WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME!? Dolls are creepy.
lol
The rocker is for your legs.

My only problem: so dark!!
Ya these GoPro cameras are more meant for outdoor daytime filming... being so small, there's not a lot of light coming into that small lens when we're indoors unfortunately.
