One of the few movies thats still just as funny and endearing as it was in the 90's. A real comedy classic in my eyes
Once upon a time when was playing Destiny 2, before I had forsaken it, I ran across a gentleman with the Gamertag CampCounselorLars. I immediately messaged him "DO IT TO IT, LARS!", to which he immediately responded "I'm feeling skinny, Tony!"
I believe Heavyweights and Dodgeball share the same Universe.
Stiller definitely took a lot from
Heavyweight’s and put it into dodgeball that’s for sure lol
@@LouieD85 maybe his white goodman character is just an alternate version of Tony lol
Rewatching it a few years ago, me & my brother both thought it seemed like a prequel to Dodgeball, especially with Ben Stiller's backstory.
@@PunkRJH90 maybe after he lost the camp tony moved to that town in dodgeball and changed his name to white goodman and opened globogym to avoid the police 🤔🤔
He went Cookoo the first time after camp, Poppa get him checked in, then becomes a successful Gym owner gets his mojo back but makes the same issues that he made in camp and ends up becoming phat at the end
I'm a flight attendant, and I can confirm that we do still give wings. Just ask
Yup, my daughter got one in our flight to Phoenix
This is one of my absolute favorite childhood movie gems ever made. I literally use to know the lines to this movie word for word i had it on VHS. All i remember is rewinding it over and over and over again for laughs this is definitely in my Top 10 favorite childhood movies. Uncle Tony was hilarious as well as all of the kids and others. 😂😂😂
Don't put twinkies on your pizza. Wisest words I've ever learned.
I have quoted this line for years and most never know where I got it from
I wonder if anybody actually tried that.
*Sees Tony from hack the movies.* *Stays and gets popcorn*
*_DUUUUDES!!!!!_* Thank you! I've loved this movie for decades. After a long day, this really made my night.
I just watched this again last week. Still a classic
Attention campers, lunch has been canceled today due to lack of hustle......deal with it
The hack-offs and dumpster dwellers should be blessed by a juggalo movie (big money hu$tlas) review during the gathering of the juggalos time frame. I imagine some classic riffing from the boys and possible new appreciation both to and from the clowny community.
Love when Tony joins yall. And Love heavyweights.
It's one of my favorite childhood movies!
Heavyweights is so nostalgic It’s still a really fun movie to watch
Probably the best (and only) Ben Stiller impression I've ever heard
No lie when Love Machine comes on at work, I think of this movie.
Fuck yeah heavyweights and famous Tony
One of my favorite movies to watch, definitely on the shelf!
Every now and then when I'm laying in bed I think back to circa 1998 as my 5 year old self was enjoying this movie until throwing up almost an entire bag of ketchup chips in front of the cute babysitter.
Haven't touched a bag of ketchup chips in a quarter century but still love this movie haha.
Movie dumpster ! And it’s heavyweights !!!!! What a drop love it boys ! Yall still the best out here doing it !
Who would like to own up to this treasure trove? Whose wonderful candies are these? Oh look a Deli Meat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ben Stiller as Uncle Tony is pure Comedic Gold 🤘
I watched this and A Pig's Tale religiously lol. 2 of my favorite kid camp movies lol
This pleases me.
I watched this movie with my 10-year-old son. He loved it.
That's awesome!! Nice to see the next generation love this!
Friggin' love this movie
Me too!! A true classic!
Nice seeing the MD era really hit new heights. Like heavy weight champions of the world! Watcha gonna grab from your shelf? When Joe and Sean ask you!?
Everyone having fun?!! Another killer episode, dumpster boys. I love watching Lars dance to I’m Just a Love Machine.
A Tony episode!
Today is a good day.
Need to do a rewatch great review gents.
This, Man of the House, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Ernest Goes to Camp were all such good fun summer-esque movies to me. Also Joe's Ben Stiller/Tony Perkis impression is insanely spot on.
Camp Nowhere too
We, my husband and I, are both huge fans of this movie. We periodically watch the DVD and laugh through it. Lars, we’re with you. We love you.
Thanks for all of your support!!
I remember going with my 3rd grade class to ABQ, NM to watch this movie and I laughed and laughed. Still holds up, except for the native redface haha. There are many types of Apaches too, Mescalero, White Mountain, Jicarilla, San Carlos, Yavapai Apache. Thanks for the Navajo shout out! #Dinepride
Of my favorite movies in the 90s I love the part the dance screen the song love machine
That Cronenberg movie is 'Crash' not 'Drive', as Tony calls it.
Cronenberg's 'Drive' with Ryan Gosling, absolute banger. 🤣
Starring Terence Howard and Ryan Gosling
I've liked Ben Stiller my entire life because of how much I liked him in this movie as a kid.
I showed my son Heavywieghts he likes it but he’s favorite is Rookie of the Year 😂
So glad someone else used to quote ‘do it to it Lars’ as much as I did. I showed my husband the dance scene with the guys and girls last week. This is definitely in my top 5 childhood movie favorites. Thank you for the nostalgia and giving it the credit it deserves.
Love machine is a great song!
"I don't want to go to camp with a bunch of fat loads!" I hadn't seen this movie probably since it came out, and I always remember it being funny, but I just didn't go back to it for some reason. I watched the review, watched the movie, and then re-watched the review. That's how much I enjoyed this episode. Thanks for helping to get me back into this movie!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼
hey wait, the floor it Harold quote is from Black sheep right? when he was the guy running for senator's brother and got his tie stuck in their trunk. hoping them load groceries
Yup haha, got my wires crossed but the quote still fits the scene! -Sean
Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Love this film! My Mom & I are big Ben Stiller fans and have been quoting lines from 'Mystery Men' since the day we saw it in theaters.. We watched 'Heavyweights' two Summers ago & she really enjoyed it.
Also - I'm pretty sure Tony & his scout troop were spending weekends on Three Mile Island..
I still says, "Do it to it, Lars".
I like Tony but was hoping for Justin in this review. Guys been talking about this movie for years.
Wait those wings were a real thing. I flew by myself on red eye flights from like 5th grade to 10th grade and never got that lol
Heavyweights and The Big Green were my two favorite movies as a kid and still love em as an adult. I always felt like they never received the love they truly deserve. So glad to hear this movie is enjoyed by so many!
Tony's talking about Dr. Mike Isratel and his shake weight review!
It was foreshadowing the sale of the camp
Loved the episode!
Lars dancing behind the DJ at the dance was the best. By far the funniest Lars moment in the film.
I loved this movie, I remember it sitting among the collection of tapes i had growing up
I haven’t even started the episode yet and I’m super excited! Thanks for all the great content fellas!
This made for a great Saturday night!
Man now you guys need to do Camp Nowhere.
Looks like my man packing
Gerry grew up into an off-brand Hemsworth
So tony from this movie becomes Dwight Goodman in dodgeball just saying
Tony you’re looking leaner man!
Just found you guys and this was one of the most entertaining things to listen to covering such a classic!
Thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼
fukk yea finally a movie i’ve seen along with both my kids … also who’s the guy in the middle ? seems like a famous youtuber ? ah well anyway…
This was awesome! My friend group and I grew up on this movie and quote daily, as well. Whenever we get up for drinks, we make sure to toast one for Salami Sam (RIP 🙏🏾)
Salami Sam will live on! Thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼
Great movie. Glad y’all did this one.
I watched this last night
Heavyweights was the 1st movie I watched on Disney plus, I still enjoy it after all these years
You guys and Tony have a good chemistry together. Always dig a Tony or a C.B. Smith episode. P.S. : Tony was fun on Zac Amico's show for the Arena episode.
Joe looks like an old timey heavyweight lifter. Our dude is looking swol for sure
I haven't seen this movie in about twenty years but I remember every single moment as it was always on to repeat in my house back in '96 lol ...
BUDDAAAAAY!
The body system 😂
Why is Tony being so shifty in the intro? XD
Ben Stiller plays a great villain. Heavyweights and Dodgeball speaks for itself.
Just watched it last night again with my kids. We all loved it and it still holds up. Salami sam kinda reminds me of a younger Newt.
This is the first movie dumpster video I've seen and I had to sub, Hoping to see a similar video for Dead Alive and Surf Ninjas 👍
Thanks for giving us a chance and we’re glad you’re enjoying the show! Both are coming at some point 🙏💚📼
I actually learned about the stinger scene after the credits when I saw this movie in theaters. The theater I went to happened to show Billy Madison after Heavyweights. My youngest uncle (only four years older than me) convinced my mom, my sister, and myself to stay. So we sat through the credits, and then the stinger came on. I am glad I got to see it because oftentimes I would leave when the credits started rolling.
I loved Heavyweights when I was a kid. I need to rewatch that movie.
Great movie....
I really thought Bald homie with the mustache looks like Mac from super troopers....but then I figured it out.
He looks just like the Mexican with the shotgun at the end of training day.
I loved this movie growing up !! Now I'm gonna show my kids
I literally got a workout ad while watching this 😂😂😂
This was my go to movie as a kid. The soundtrack to this movie was 10 out 10.
Until next time...."Observe the silence of the chi"
wait a fuckin second. This isnt "ready to rumble" at all
I can't wait for you guys to break this down fuckin awesome so can't wait
Fucking LOVED Heavyweights as a kid! IM JUST A LOVE MACHINE AND I WONT WORK FOR NOBODY BUT YOU NANA NANA NA
“Now those of you from Western Pennsylvania, probably know my father, Tony Perkis Senior ‘The Lighting Fixture King’.”
This is one of the greatest weight loss videos I’ve ever watched!
I was born in '75, so I was an 80's kid & I don't remember this movie whatsoever. Don't know how I missed it.
It was made for 90's babies
@@kdusel1991 Gotcha.
It's a 1995 movie
You guys should add all 3 masks of the movie 3 ninjas, 🤤🤤🤤 your memorabilia wall, the 90's🤤🤤 good times
I remember this movie coming out and seeing with a friend and one of his school friends. They had it in their head that fat camp would be just like this movie so they convinced their parents to send them...mistakes were made that summer, but they were slim I can say that much.
Arnold Schwarzenegger should have been casted as lars
I love this movie now let's play a fun game where we get to know each others names we already know each others names silence haha 😂
Would love to see review of CAMP NOWHERE
Super pumped tony is on this haha.
the commentary with Apatow, Brill, Covert and a few of the cast is so great and funny
I love this movie. watched it twice last year. Lars is my favorite. LAHZ
Short answer yes this is a classssssic. So funny
All Jo’s and Sean’s aside I highly recommend the movie patriot. Wait - what was I doing. Oh yeah PATREON!!!
Hell yeah one of my favorite movies ever!
Anyone else think that Stiller's character in Heavyweights has some connection to his character in Dodgeball? Their characters even have overlapping backstories (i.e. they started out overweight but then slimmed down and became fitness freaks).
We talk about it in the episode, haha.
I have never seen Heavyweights, I was at that age where I was like: eeewwwwww that's a kids movie! I am waaay to edgy for that nonsense.
Now, after watchin this episode, holy wow did I miss out!! Gotta see it now.
its funny joe said that. disorderlys with the fat boys was one of my favorite movies to rent
I would rent it all the time, too! I really want to cover it, haha. -Joe
Joe and Tony are among my favorite duos for video reviews
One of the greatest movies of all time. I thought the heads in the movie poster were pasted on because they had a different kid as Gerry when they made the poster.
One of the best reviews ever. Telling you, you three need to to Maximum Overdrive. You guys would kill it haha
As a fat kid, I LOVED this movie!! Still love it. And I'm still fat.
