Today is a great day!!! We present to you all a new PFC Song Around The World featuring Keith Richards in collaboration with Roberto Luti, Titi Tsira and a number of worldwide musicians on a rendition of his reggae song, "Words of Wonder," off 1992's Main Offender. This video also leads into a cover of Bob Marley's "Get Up, Stand Up," featuring Keb' Mo', Mermans Mosengo, Aztec Indians, Natalie Pa'apa'a of Blue King Brown, and Jamaican singer Sherita Lewis.

Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band-a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation-a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

Playing for change, has to be one of the greatest creations that men and women have ever conspired to create. What a fantastic way to play together. What needs to happen is for someone with too much money to bring all these people together for a month long concert to be televised all over the world. If that doesn't sort out all the hate out there, nothing ever will.

He's an icon! I'm not a huge Stones fan, but Keith has always intrigued me. He's the embodiment of "rock n roll", but he's less known for his solo projects. Playing reggae and especially the blues. He and Mick fell in love with old American blues bands together. Just like Zepplin. They swore the only reason they played rock was to pay for their attempts at the blues.
And I'm old enough to remember when both bands were "new" and they were all young and perma-stoned! Like me 😂

my dad first showed me this song and today is the 2 year anniversary of his passing. This song bought him so much joy and I can honestly listen to it over and over. Miss him terribly but can feel him around when i have this playing at full volume!

@Adam saoud, so much pain & it doesn't take away from your direct pain and horrible situation, please know that we are connected and that the energy that is put out we share - 19 yrs ago my first grandchild was born & holding him as a baby as he took his nap; looking down at this most precious best baby in the world, such peace and then, I "felt" somewhere there was another grandmother doing & feeling the exact thing (that brought a smile) and then it changed:there was also another grandmother weeping and rocking her blood soaked grandson and yes we were doing the exact same thing - of course it was emotional for me because I realized that her most precious beautiful best grandson existed just as mine, just as equal and that the two coexisted and were the same, oh I shake my head that we humans cannot feel even a bit of our connection to one another ~ music & children are forces of such unity. Margaret Nicol, I bought my first laptop 10 years ago and my daughter and fiancee and I were in a restaurant setting it up and giving me pointers on usage. She put on Playing For Change, Stand By Me. I cried and cried with joy at the connections that this tool can do. It was the dream of the Hippies. All One World.

Thanks for the inclusion of the great playing of the Didjeridu (didgeridoo) by our First Australian friend Norm. Think about those notes as being amongst the earliest mankind ever listened to knowing that culture goes back 65,000 years.
It looks an easy and non complicated hunk of wood but the hand manufacturing process and the complexities of the breathing management required to make that music is something else.

i love music. I love musicians, no matter their standard or ability. Music is life. Play for Change facilitates music and musicians. It gives life to us all. The concept is brilliant. The support of recognised musicians giving to the world of music is fantastic. people survive in dire circumstances with the aid of music. The lucky parts of the world thrive on music. It is a currency universally recognised, but cannot be devalued in any market. If we don't have music, it will be as Don McLean prophetically said in "American Pie" , " ...Something touched me deep inside, the day he music died." We have to have music. Music is like oxygen. Without it we die.
