I think applying the dust directly gives a better look on coloured fondant
Thank you so much!!
Wow thank you for sharing this experiment. Very useful. 👍❤️
Thank you for watching, I´m glad it helped!
Nice!
This video helped me alot thank you very much you earned a subscriber🥰
Hey there, thank you for your support. I´m glad it helped!
Thank you for this great video. Here in Australia you can buy a small bottle of clear extract that has no taste and it's perfect with the glitter. Well, it's made to go with it! Also, you can try using vodka, even if you don't like it, because you can buy one of those tiny bottles that you find in hotel room bars, they don't cost much and you can't taste the vodka anyway as it evaporates.
Hey! Thank you for watching from Australia, how cool! I actually made a recent video comparing vodka vs. clear extract, I use to not like it but now I do haha. Its a good tip for people who don´t like it! x
Very useful
Very informative ! thank you very much.
I´m glad it helped, thank you for watching!
Thank you dear
Thank you for watching!
Would luster dust be also good if I coat it on moulds? Or could it also work like cocoa butter with making it easy to get out bonbon moulds?
I just want to make shiny dark chocolate coating and brighten the exact color/brand/dust you have(i got Wilton's Gold) on dark chocolate. so idk how to make things pop or shiny. But willing to buy cocoa butter if must. I am using silicone moulds
Sounds cute, I´ve never done that before, luster dust looks like it could potentially work for that and if you are using a silicone mold, those are easier to use than plastic ones, I´d honestly just give it a try in a couple of them, so if it doesn´t work you didn´t waste a lot of product. Sorry I wasn´t really helpful. Hope it is a success!
Thank you for sharing this. What is the brand of your luster dust?
Hi, thank you for watching, I believe is Wilton.
Let your fondant dry for 20 hours first for tiny decorations like this. Should be easier and faster for the dust to apply either evenly and or faster after “rewetting” the decorations.
Yup! Mine did dry for a little longer, like 24 hours probably!
Its very helpful thanks for sharing🥰
Can i usu that with the airbrush?
To be honest I wouldn´t know, I´ve never done that!
Can we apply dust on white chocolate garnish? Can we eat it ?
This kind of dust is edible, but I´ve never tried decorating chocolate with it, sorry I can´t help!
@@itsRenee it's ok. Thanks for the reply ☺️
So almond extract is the best?
Hi, any kind of clear extract. x
Almond extract and almond essence is same or different
Please reply me
Oh, I don´t even know, sorry about that! x
very helpful...
Thank you, I´m glad!
At what rate u got that gold dust powder
I don´t remember sorry but its by the brand Wilton
how to make metallic gold cake dust powder
Hi, I´m sorry I´m not sure I understand the question
@@itsRenee Hey as u get to see regular colors of spray powder sprayed on the cake the same way Gold is done but i am looking for to know how to prepare Metallic Gold Spray Powder or Metallic Gold Cake Dust Powder
@@balajibs6705 I don´t know, sorry
Can I use vanilla extract? Or just almond extract?
Hi, yes you can, any kind of clear extract will do! x
Would you be able to taste the the almond extract or lemon extract on the fondant on the cake?
Hi! I´ve never been able to taste the flavor of extracts on fondant, but if you are going to make this for someone else, I would try it first on a tiny piece of fondant and see if you can taste it, I hope this helps!
CuteSimpleThings thank you so much for replying back.wasnt sure if I’d get a reply back to my question since the video was uploaded a year ago. Pleased to know you are still active and kind to reply back to your new viewers who come across your old videos! I shall indeed try it out on a small piece of fondant before applying to a whole fondant ok cake. Thank you!
@@SkeletonkeysJan1 No problem I´m happy to help and thank you for watching my videos!
🐾Very cute idea!
Thank you, I hope it helped!
@@itsRenee 💕
Which luster dust did you use?
Gold by Wilton
@@itsRenee Thank you!
We don't care for the taste of Fondant. Would this work on naked sugar cookies as opposed to flooding with RI, Glaze or Buttercream? Thanks
Hi! i get it, fondant can be very sweet and have an after taste. I ´ve never decorated a naked sugar cookie like that before, so I would´t really know, but I´d just make sure the cookie looks as light as possible, so you can actually see the decor. As for using luster over the cookie itself probably it won´t look as visible because you are working over a yellowish porous area vs. flat white area, if that makes sense. It´ll probably depend on how pigmented your luster dust is. I hope this helped!
@@itsRenee Hi and Thanks for the reply! I agree, over a naked cookie might not be the best. I'll have to experiment.
Too much liquid
Add less if you prefer I am just sharing what worked and what didn´t, hope this helps!
Thanks so much for this video, but i mixed the dust with lemon extract it taste was bitter 😭
Oh, I´m sorry you had a bad experience, I tend to only work with vanilla or almond extract most of the time
Its too watery, add less fluid
Hi, thank you your suggestion and watching!
