For super fast deployment of this beauty mark off points with a Sharpie on the leg braces. It’s so much quicker to get it level off the bat. I have hundreds of marks all over the legs as well which serve similar purpose. Maybe I’m daft but when you use this tripod a lot, or any for that matter, it’s pretty handy.
I have a few tripods, including the 075, and the 055C, a Bolex, complete with leveling bowl, but my favourite is my Benbo MK5... a true beast. As you may have gathered by now, I love quality engineered products.
Enjoyed your video. Just pulled my 075 out and have given it a clean up ready for my D750 and Sigma 150 - 600 with a 1.4 tele converter It has a 029 head. The unit was handed down to me over 10 years ago. A little too big for my Collector MX5 but now have a Niro which swallows it easily Greetings from Vancouver, Canada.
Just bought over here in Canada but with a 029 head a monster forsure but I went a beast to take wildlife and this puppy and the head are about as well built as can be I paid $25.00 for it and it's all working great nothing broken had a heavy duty strap I'm tired of all the tripods that the legs break is the weather gets to -10 here in Canada it gets very cold but thanks for the review of this beast LoL Dave
Wow! Amazing heavy duty tripod. I just pick up one today for $110.00. It was a toss-up between the Manfrotto Art 075 and the Manfortto 128RC. After thinking really hard, I choose the former. I hope I made the right choice. I didn't know this tripod is at least 30 years old. Thanks for sharing the info.
Cute little tripod. At least compared to my Manfrotto 161mrk2B. It goes up to 267 cm and down as low as 44 cm. It weighs 9 kg according to Manfrotto, but "only" 7.8 kg according to my scale. The safety payload is listed as only 20 kg, though, so I won't risk sitting on it.
well done , watched all of your video held my breath for when you sat on it as it looked wobbly

Has the Manfrotto 058 the same strength???
HI there. Got my hans on one of these as well. Im curious...how do you adjust it, if you want it completely level?
Check my comment above. The bubble level built in isn’t great and usually dead this many years on. Good luck, hope it helps.
Really great sound quality on this video!
Cheers - your pushing for better mics paid off

Enjoy it!
I found you video because I'm looking at a used 075 on ebay. $100 USD seems steap for such an old tripod. If it's in good order, what do you think?
awesome video!!!
Thanks. I enjoyed your channel too
Nice and informative, thinking about the Manfrotto 058B, any thoughts on this tripod?
Thanks, the 58 is a lot lighter! obviously you need to get a fluid head to go with it.

Mij weight is 120KG and i just sit down on my Manfrotto 058.No problem at all..The factory says only 12KG.
Nice !!
Thanks for your appreciation Fangus
yes, no 1/4" thread in your arse!, but, with a junior pin (butt plug), you can adapt your arse to fit on a 5/8" thread!
Just bought this for £54 from eBay. Awating delivery. Think I may have picked up something of a bargain...
