These videos are very insightful! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I haven’t fully migrated to 5.5 just yet. But based on what you and others are saying about the latest updates I think my next project will be in the newest version of Unreal Engine.
i did a "boot saloon" demo with unreal 5.2 (a shoe house in the woods, river ect) but lumen put the brakes on it all , Lumen was to dark in the shadows , it was unreal 5.2 , i used the tree assets from electric Dreams demo, i put my heart and soul into that project and LUMEN was too dark , was going to do a shoe house street (i photo scan various boots for the houses) leading upto the finished boot saloon, as you can see the street is to dark with the tree canopies . has lumen improved / been fixed since 5.2 .....?
You can adjust how dark those shadows are in the lumen details setting and if you still cant find there you can use post process to lighten those dark shadows as a secondary way to fix that. Idk how long it's been there but when I was getting started that one of the points the instructor made. About the default lumen shadows were too dark. You can also adjust the suns bounce light as a third way to fix this issue. So yes there are multiple solutions for this problem.
I tried to summarize everything as quickly as I could. In production these are changes that gradually add up for sure, and you have to bear in mind how this compares to other softwares and their pace of development.
Even future , it will not work Because Unreal engine need High quality graphic GTX Mobile don't have this hardware When Every new version of unreal Was released GTX will need high quality and modern
I don't like Unreal. It's PathTracer isn't competitive with any of the Offline Render Engines like how they say it is. They use too many rediculous buzzwords to people who don't know any better, but I guess thats why they do it. It mislead so many, and was a huge pain in the ass. It is a game engine, and should stay a game engine.
Remember that Epic Games has a bad habit of releasing a new version before it is debugged. Everyone should wait 6 months - 1 year before using the latest version of the engine. 5.5 is a bit unstable and I advise everyone to wait or work on 5.4
I would love a tutorial on how to get started in Unreal for ArchViz Can you please make me happy?!?!

No offense but this feels like a spec read more than real information about being a “game changer”

ficus
As long as they don't allow for importing Mixamo rigs like in UE4, which made it so simple to have a custom player character, I am not caring as much.
