@@daphneyjeanpierre2754 No, I never have to do it. The hot throw is amazing. I use the wax melts at work in my office most days. People always come around asking, "HEY! What is that smelling so good?". They can smell it in the hallway though my burner is in the office.
Actually, I use 10% f/0 all the time. All the oils I buy say 3-10%. I do it with my container candles as well. I measure by grams and I never use soy wax.
I have the same issue with tart wax, super hard. So, I melt the entire slab in my presto pot. I then make large cupcake silicone molds and bag them up for future use. Sooooo much easier when I just need smaller amounts for fragrance testing.
This is brilliant!!! I’m actually going to use my presto for tart wax from now on once I get my digiboil replacement, so I’ll definitely be doing this haha
LOL! Holy Mother of God! I feel you Girl! Took the words right out of my mouth! Now I have to rewind to pay attention to how you got it initially broken up? Thank you for this vid, Ladybug! Hi...I just got the wax you are using. You can actually use a knife. You use the point of the knife and press down. I made tarts in clam shells for the first time over the weekend and tested them today. Awesome!. I used only 10% fragrance load and my office and the hallway smelled so good. People were coming to see where the scent was coming from.
Smashing it was fun 😂 I don’t understand why tartxwax like this doesn’t come in bead form tho, it would make a lot more sense haha. I’m so happy you had good results!! I’m going to test mine next week 😍

I just found your channel & subscribed. The wax I’ll be using is an Apricot, Soy, Coconut probably similar to yours. I have everything I need to start except wicks. I don’t even know where to start. I know I won’t be using wooden wicks because they’re too inconsistent. I’m making my own vessels with concrete & I’m enjoying that process. Would you have a suggestion as to what type of wick works with this wax? I pay 3 to 5 times what people on the mainland pay for supplies since I live in Hawaii, so I can’t just order bags & bags of wicks. I need a place to start 😫
love your videos! For giveaway ideas, I would love a luxury candle making kit and also a kit to make the spray from your previous video, and a luxury soap making kit.
@@daphneyjeanpierre2754 it can be a little weak sometimes depending on the fragrance oil you’re using, so I just increase the percentage to 15% or 16% since it’s not going to be burned. 🙂

Hi Jessica! I read somewhere (don’t remember where) that you need a special clause in your insurance when you use botanicals in your candles. Do you know if that is true? I’m not sure about the wax melts since they don’t actually come in contact with a flame.
Yes I would not put botanicals in my candles due to insurance and safety issues. They are a fire hazard in candles due to the flame. In warmers, however, they are fine since the wax preserves them and there is no flame in contact with the botanicals. Double check with your insurance, but usually they are fine in warmers ♥️
Hey Jessica, any downsides to using the dry botanicals in the wax melts as far as how it melts? Do they affect the scent, mess with the warmer itself at all or become a safety issue at all? Just curious. Looks beautiful!
I’ve been using them in my wax melts for years, I never had any issues with them. ♥️ Since there is no flame, they are fine to be used in warmers. Also they don’t hinder the smell or discolor or deteriorate, the wax preserves them.
Oh it’s easy! Download this app and it will do the math for you. It’s for candles, but to convert it to wax melts, just change “vessels” to 1, and change “wax” to however much you want to make, and change “FO %” to whatever fragrance load you want. On the bottom of the app it will calculate and tell you what you need to use apps.apple.com/us/app/the-candle-maker-calculator/id1514593795
Ok, I could watch your channel all day, lol. Sorry about the dizg,I hope the new one works when you get it, would love to hear what you think about it.. btw Jessica, I just bought soy bliss, I was wondering if you have tried this wax and if so could you do a video about it..
Smashing it on the ground let out some built up frustration though 😂😂 - I’ll try 10% next time and probably 8 or 9%, the less FO I have to use the better haha. How long do the cubes last in your warmer? 2-3 days?
Hi Jessica! When you do use TW30, what heat, FO mix, and pour temps have you found worked best? I've been testing it and haven't gotten the best HT and they only last for one day. I know this is a great wax so it has to be something on my end. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!
Hi Gina. Idk if she’s still with us here. But I would Love to know an update on the tarts she made. Theres one video you can watch to see the actual method for your question. Candle romance. He’s great 👍🏻
So much about this video is timely lol. I’ve been curious about finding a coconut wax for melts, I just bought that same mold 2 days ago, I’ve just found NorthWood supply yesterday 😮 It’s like you made this video for me😂 how do you like the wax? Sorry about the digi :(
Oh wow! Look at that great timing then haha. I’ll keep you updated on the hot throw, so far the cold throw is great at 12%. I really like it so far, it’s super smooth and what wasn’t smooth was easily fixed with a heat gun. No frosting from what I saw either, I’m waiting on my dye order to test coloring next.
