The name is probably more likely a play on the word "Pee" as that's the name of the original episode. The name being similar to Paramount Plus was probably a factor as to why he was brought back (which is why I said 'not entirely true' and not 'false'), although it has no bearing on the originally intended name of the character. Edited note: I believe Gussler was the one intended to be a personified version of Paramount Plus, so again I'd lean towards Pi-Pi just being a convenient trope related to the water element.

Honestly, i found the Post Covid specials better, but this one was also really nice. Really liked how it went with the jokes like Karen and just loved that Liane got fed up with her son and just doesn't care anymore about his crap

The jokes seemed really superficial and creators going meta, going heavy on story rather than comedy, doesn't create a lot of rewatch value. Although old episodes had current events, they are still rewatchable due to it's constant comedy throughout the episode.

It's quite an accomplishment when you can have an entire nostalgic season and the show has been on the air the entire time. Season 25 has the feel of season 5. Brilliant

HOW ABOUT The Fractured But Whole where you (an assumingly 10 year old) have to strip tease for older men? WAP is to South Park what MK2 is to MKX (tame in comparison)
Imma be honest, when I first heard the intro "There's some HOES in this house There's some HOES in this house..." I thought my tv was glitching at first, but the song just continued playing where the water and streams made more appearances, and I absolutely died laughing🤣
For real, I loved how this special just played WAP on the most random way possible, but still matching perfectly with the sequence; I got hysterical watching that 🤗😂...!
I live in Colorado currently and what blows my mind is that it perfectly mirrors the current state of Colorado politics. There is constant talk about water contracts and water rights, and it doesn't even touch on the fact that some of that water is allocated to other states. It's not just Denver that is a big issue.
This special is genuinely one of my favourite south park episodes of recent years. It isn't recency bias or anything, it just felt more fun and I just enjoyed the entire plot
I loved how essentially the Post-Covid message was "stop being dicks to each other", and pretty much everyone in the show has been dicks to each other, of late. One big thing I give Trey & Matt is they're able to write the characters as showing how unlikeable they can get....while keeping you *wanting* to see where it goes; that is very hard to write. They know their stuff.
My theory on the improved visuals is that the art team drew tons of backgrounds and other non-specific objects/assets during lockdown. There's been a noticeable improvement since then.
This special was actually good to watch. I'm loving the fact that Tolkien just tooks Cartman's spot as the 4th friend and it worked. The interaction between Tolkien and Stan had me with a big smile on my face this special and Tolkiens Family getting more screen time was pretty cool too. Also, the Karma for Cartman in the episode was magnificent to watch, as soon as the 10k was brought up I thought they would've had him win. I thought somehow, someway he was going to win... but no. He lost in the most Hilarious way possible!
I think what makes this episode so good is that it uses water rights to talk about streaming services and vice versa, because you can look at this episode as discussing each topic and the points still hold up. Personally I didn't even see the streaming service stuff because I was focused more on the water rights allegories but this video showed me it works extremely well for both.

Up until this point I had successfully avoided ever having to hear WAP. Then they just had to put it in the episode. Didn't even really fit what was happening either. Pretty much my only complaint, it just seemed unnecessary.
This was a really great special I really loved it so much it was so funny a lot of laughs a lot of craziness the fact that they kept calling Randy Karen the best thing ever, also when they played cardi B's WAP I really lost my shit, been over a year ago I predicted them they were going to play this song in South Park and wow I can't believe they did.
Part one was amazing and had no business being as good and as clever as it was. Part two was a huge disappointment and showcased South Park's biggest flaw. The writers are really great at parody and recent, topical satire, but where they lack skill is bringing it all home and finishing things as well as they set them up. The beginning was so great and the end was a let down and that's normally how it works. The scene with the zoom in on the boats really set me into a fit of giggles
When this was announced, we all thought this was about actual streaming Services (Such as Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Etc.) But it actually about water streaming sounding similiar to "Streaming service".
After binging season 19 and seeing how shitty everything and everyone was, this special surprised me with how nice everyone was in this. They actually act like friends and care about each other.
My Theory for Cartman's Plot(It's a joke btw), Raisins Came Back from the dead and He became to the new Raisins Medal plus got way more money or he lost his Breast in during the Gaint Waves.
Loved this episode. Loved hearing 'WAP' as a choice for the show, while as it's...graphic, it fits the show in a funny, inappropriate way. Also fits really well with the theme.
Pre-signing with paramount they added over 20-30 new employees (assuming animators) i think one of the reasons the animations have better-impreoved a lot of timing has been cut by a decent amount to animate! i think they have 7 more films with paramount can't wait to see them!

just want to point out how bad a deal the boys made by signing into that exclusive deal. they were making 20 dollars a boat for the smaller guys but signed onto a deal where they would only get 15 thousand dollars for 10 thousand boats. that's 1.5 dollars a boat. before they could make 20 boats and get 200 dollars but with this guy every 200 boats they make only nets them 250$.

I think my main issue is that I feel like South Park does all this stuff for the benefit of UA-cam video essayists and clip channels. Like, it really does feel like every choice they made in the last 7-8 years has been made so that a UA-camr will say "Oh, wow, that was so amazing. South Park is the best show ever." But, it really does become tedious.

I was skeptical at first but when WAP came on it felt a little passé at first but by the end of the song I knew this would at the least be an enjoyable watch.

just want to point out how bad a deal the boys made by signing into that exclusive deal. they were making 20 dollars a boat for the smaller guys but signed onto a deal where they would only get 15 thousand dollars for 10 thousand boats. that's 1.5 dollars a boat. before they could make 20 boats and get 200 dollars but with this guy every 200 boats they make only nets them 250$.

I didnt mind the mini movie like it was funny and that but after watching South Park for like 20 years it seemed really predictable. They alway try and say something about something indirectly, if only they had this money in their prime
I think my main issue is that I feel like South Park does all this stuff for the benefit of UA-cam video essayists and clip channels. Like, it really does feel like every choice they made in the last 7-8 years has been made so that a UA-camr will say "Oh, wow, that was so amazing. South Park is the best show ever."
But, it really does become tedious.
The story is just way too complex. I miss just the 4 boys doing dumbass shit. Sure its fun to see new things but this plot was way too weird
