Hi, here's my new video. Remember to read the description and you might need to come back to this comment later. :D EDIT: It's later. If you're wondering why I haven't compared the updated RMs with their vanilla GT2 counterparts, I just didn't want to drag the video out any longer than it is. I'm just going to make a separate video comparing those. Right after I do my new/updated prize car guide for this mod. In which I'm going to put a spoiler tag on it as I'm guessing some people want the new prize cars to be a surprise. Once again, if you have any questions about the mod, refer to the video description first. The link to the mod download is there. Note: If you need help still installing it, here's a more detailed explanation: After downloading the patch for your version of GT2, you're going to install that patch onto your iso/bin file for GT2. To do that, you use a program called xdelta. You can probably find it in a quick google search. Once you have xDelta on your computer, you open it, then you click on the button asking you to select patch, you select the patch you downloaded, then select what file the patch is getting attached to (which is your GT2 iso), then you save the newly made file made from that. Just name it GT2 Plus or something to make it easy to remember. Also remember to type .bin to the name as if you don't do that; the file won't load.
Just a note on savegames - beta 7 now uses a separate save to 'vanilla' GT2, so it won't even try to load incompatible saves any more, and allows having a GT2+ and original GT2 save on the same memory card. It should hopefully resolve a lot of the confusion around compatibility. Also, the Mazda new car dealership name changes mentioned have been done and are included in the PAL version, I just missed including that one single file when assembling the US disc image, oops!
@@gamerxt333 Unfortunately the list of event IDs is hardcoded, so any entirely new events will use the entry restrictions and completion trophy from 4WD race 1 as their IDs aren't recognised. The 206 events were already in that list (and were in fact the cause of the infamous completion percentage bug), so they could be brought back thanks to MMRivit creating an menu page for them from scratch.
It's because the blue and white combo was discontinued around 1998, and GT2 onwards feature a later model year than that. Even Forza has a very late one too - it is weird how no games seem to choose the iconic 1996/1997 spec GTS. It's technically not accurate to have both the 1997 and 1999 colour lists mashed together, but there's no listed year for the car so this is one place where fun takes priority.
What Pez2k said, the Viper in GT2 is the 1999 model while the one in GT1 was the 1997 model. You'll find this a lot with cars in Gran Turismo, a lot of the time you don't see certain colors on car models in later games is simply because PD used a different model year in later games. The Viper GTS in GT7 for instance is the 2002 model, so it won't have the silver w/ blue stripes color option as that wasn't on offer in 2002. If I ever were to start modding GT2 of course, I probably would try to make it so you can have both the 1997 and 1999 models in the dealership.
@@RandomCarGuy17 Little known fun fact: The GT1 texture should be the 1996 model, which is the only year that featured the stripes going all the way down behind the rear license plate frame. If you look up the 1997 model, you can see the stripes end above the license plate and continue at the rear bumper.
The fact that this gem still receives mods and updates is a thing of love. Sort of makes me wish that they could somehow bust the code fully open and make further customizations such as track creation and/or new cars a possibility.
New cars are possible and there are a decent few done already, I actually wrote the tooling in order to convert over the NSX-R GT1 and Silvia LM since GT1 doesn't use the same format. I don't think anybody's looking into tracks though, they're much more complicated and they would likely need to replace existing tracks in career events.
@@pez2k I skimmed through the topic at gtplanet and I cannot praise the work you have done enough. Understandable as you mentioned before that the game is close to its limits. Seeing all these liveries is so nice, too. Replaying the game with all these features is great and I can just speak for everyone here that you are doing such great work, man! As you mentioned the Silvia LM and NSX-R GT1: Is it possible to return the Race Modification livery of the Mitsubishi GTO '92 that was used in the first Gran Turismo (Red and Dark Blue as seen in this video ua-cam.com/video/FXiegsV157E/v-deo.html)? Either way, thank you so much once again!
@@MrRyoogi It's definitely possible to bring back old RMs, it's just a case of seeing what there's space left for since each one is a whole separate car model.
@@pez2k Oh, I did not know that. Quite insane to think of, considering the amount of RMs available already. Looking forward to future updates and all the best to you, then!
After all this years i'm still playing and enjoying GT2 specially since discovered the duckstation settings and cheats for 4x 60FPS 16:9 Also enjoying using steering wheel much better than back in the days using the xbox gamepad emulator, x360e, emulates the steering wheel (logitech DF EX) as if it is a gamepad, then using the x360e settings to personalice everything, the feeling of vibrations, the dead zone or anti-dead zone, linearity, fast or slow response... oh boy, i'm enjoying so much. Its amazing how people still playing classic games and lovin it
This modding just goes on a on! 😮 So glad gt is getting this huge amount of love. Hope the pi pico station mod grows in compatibility to try playing this on real hardware someday.
@@Constanzaaaaaaaaaaaa Well, that's good to know. Something to keep in mind the next time someone asks me that question regarding playing on official hardware.
@@RandomCarGuy17 I have no idea if the plus version will also work on the ps2 through backward compatibility but it could work since the ps2 has the ps1 hardware inside but I don't know if the plus version files will work with the original disc that I have, or I will have to have a copy, never use emulators
Love the mod. If there's one thing I'd do, I'd probably make the NASCAR Taurus a special model of its own, due to the fact a fully modified Taurus can't really reach the same speeds of the NASCAR aesthetic.
The PS1 only has 2MB of RAM, there just isn't enough space to have more than two car sounds loaded at the same time. It already has the cars, track, textures, physics data, and two 100-car garages stuffed in there - I don't know how they got it all to fit.
The ai engine sounds are crazy. I remember askin if that was possible years ago. Hopefully we can work towards some upgrade for that. What id be most excited about is somebody actually modeled a clkgtr in gt2 would love to see that in these mods too
Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! A 'complete edition' was the goal all along, as if Polyphony had more time and manpower back in 1999, and I'm proud that the mod is getting close to that now.
22:09 reminded me from the picture that the Formula Red '91 NSX appears with Ayrton Senna the '72 Challenger resembles me very much from Driver II Las Vegas secret car 26:45 someone else noted that the fantasy "Wiegert" name was removed from the Vector W8TT? Despite it being fantasy, I still like the "Wiegert" at the W8TT's name ;_ 28:30 no more duplicate teal color at the AMG saloons (but unfortunately no teal too) 34:45 wasn't the black livery turned into the standalone Xsara Rally Car? 39:38 nice to see the Spoon-hood Civic AND the true Spoon Civic on GT2 (despite already having both in the same save a few years ago)
It's a good catch, I didn't notice that the Wiegert name was removed. With that said, Wiegert is actually the founder's name, he's behind the W8 Twin Turbo. About the AMGs, that's another thing I didn't catch; it did seem like there were less colors than I remembered on those cars. Kinda a shame on that count, I loved the teal. Also yes, the black livery probably became the Xsara Rally Car. Which was imo a mistake when the red color was more accurate to the real Xsara Rally Car.
If you mean the tyre wear rates being basically identical across all compounds, I don't know fixable that will ever be. Implementing proper wear would be a serious edit to the game code, and that's beyond my abilities.
@@pez2k wait, I thought it was fixed since I felt the difference (hard slicks, R390 Road, 2 stops instead of usual 3 on unpatched version). So no wear rate difference across all compounds (only slower)?
@@haryosoo I haven't touched tyre compounds or wear at all. The only code changes so far have been to subtly remove the power units conversion, and to fix being unable to unequip intercoolers on the Vector W8. Everything else is a data change, and the tyre data is unchanged too.
@@pez2k that was kinda surprising TBH since I could feel there's a slight change on how the cars behave than vanilla version, a good one nevertheless. BTW Thanks for this gem, cheers.
GRAN TURISMO 2 Plus Mod is where the true greatness began. It also brought back almost all of the cut cars in GT2 like RUF BTR2, BTR3, BTR4, and of course NSX-R LM GT2 from GRAN TURISMO 1. Plus: Here after the announcement of Nijigasaki High School Idol Club NEXT SKY & Setsuna Yuki's New VA announcement!
11:35 And another fun fact is that these two white and black liveries were probably removed because they became separate proper race cars you can get as prize cars, the JGTC Zexel and Kure R33 race cars.
Yup, the white Nismo GT-R LM Racing Mod is based on the Zexel and the black is based on the Kure. Though, I'm starting to think the Nismo GT-R LM's RMs were based on different year variants of both the Zexel and Kure R33 GT-Rs. The Aero they have in GT1 is more like the 1996 JGTC Skylines and the 1997s that are in GT2.
For some reason Polyphony deliberately chose to model the 1.6 16v Clio, despite listing it as 172hp in the dealership. Wherever possible I aim for the smallest change in order to fix things, so it's a 1.6 with fixed dealership stats rather than remodelling the whole car to make it into an RS 172.
I have installed this mod, and I can confirm that it gives me more genuine Japanese vibes with all these correct JDM model names, although there is more stuff to fix.
Is it possible to add descriptions to the cars for those cars that don't have it in the original game? I think that could be the next thing to be done for this mod. My wishlist for the mod now are: - Scale the power tuning for the Taurus so it can be as powerful as a Nascar car/Make a V8 powered Nascar Taurus as a special model - Make the Intrepid Drag Car as a special model with custom drag physics inspired by the 180/R33 drag cars - A GT300 spec S14 as a special model, based on a downtuned S14 LM Edition - A Group A spec R32 as a special model based on the R32 RM - Racing modified version of the RS200 based on the Group B car - Ruf special model (?) [wonder if this is even possible, but if it is, I'd like to see cars based on the 993 GT2 and 964 Carrera]
Adding descriptions is possible in theory, but finding an exact perfect match for the font is very difficult - they're images rather than text. I also only speak English, so I wouldn't be able to add understandable descriptions to the Japanese, French, German, Italian, or Spanish languages, and I don't want the mod to be too focused on English-speakers. As for adding new car variants and so on, there's a limit to how many cars the game can handle, and this mod is right up against it. I've chosen to prioritise cut and originally unfinished content to stick closer to the game's original vision, but there are other people with mods in the works like GT2.1 and GT2DX which may well feature more creative and diverse new things.
@@indigomizumi I know only a little about the mod myself, but it's created by Dark Magician S62. Which from the looks of it is also an attempt at making a more complete GT2, it seems to be at an early stage though. Here's his channel though: www.youtube.com/@darkmagicians62
About Opel/Vauxhall, actually in the pal version, choosing English language would display vauxhall, that's how I got their cars, changed language to English, bought them, then back to my language 😂
In a way, the Mark Martin NASCAR livery could've been added to Specials, modified with RWD, 800hp, and a V8 engine sound that goes up to 9500rpm (to match derestricted NASCAR specs at the time).
this mod is not about adding custom content it's for fixing bugs, making hidden and gt1 only content available and restoring some cut features and vehicles
Another thing that came to mind.: Remember the Event Generator? Your reward for getting the Super License? From what I've heard, the AI cars it sets you up against are *never* race cars or race-modded cars. Does this mod address this?
Sorry to say, but no. The A.I. opponents for the most part to my knowledge have only covered just including the new and restored cars to certain grids in events. Once again, all of the detailed changes are listed on his GTPlanet forum thread I linked in the description.
The Event Generator just uses opponents from other events, so it's never going to offer every single car as an opponent, but I've not found the code where it filters out the race cars, and so I don't know how feasible it is to change or whether it was done to avoid any problems that might emerge.
Sadly...on the opel part, the GSi trim was actually available on the vectra...not just the vauxhal, it just didn't live long since Opel quickly introduced the OPC badge about one or two years after the Vectra finally got the Gsi badge, making it a VERY rare car to find. Also...never saw a vectra badged as an I500...
You sure about that, I tried googling the Opel Vectra GSI and just got the Vauxhall version as a result. With that said, I found images of the i500. There's this one for instance: www.carthrottle.com/post/obxrggo/
The Vectra B 2.5 GSi in GT2 was a UK-specific model by Motor Sport Developments. The i500 was a German-specific model by Opel Motorsport and Irmscher, which used a similar engine tune and the same bodykit as the UK GSi, hence the mod rebranding the Opel as an i500, as it's the closest equivalent and better than removing the car entirely.
Very nice GT2 mod video. What interested me the most is the fact that most of this mods is restoring what's scrapped from the final product. Was there any particular reason they done that?
That was the plan all along, to fix bugs and finish off anything that was cut, as GT2 has a reputation of being somewhat rushed to release. It also reduced the technical work needed at first, as polishing and fixing cut content doesn't require the ability to create entirely new models and textures. A lot of those hurdles have now been overcome as a side effect of the mod development, but sticking to content that was at least partly authored by Polyphony themselves means that the art direction and level of quality stays consistent. Ideally, a new player shouldn't be able to notice anything out of place or obviously modified.
@@pez2k That does make sense compares to what I was thinking. I really thought the only reason for it because they wanted to reduce the game size. Since at that time PS1 use CD, which only had 700MB as far as I remember. Thanks for the explanation.
@@hizaruasuma5689 Fortunately disc space isn't an issue as each car is only a few kilobytes in size, so I've been able to add plenty without ever making an appreciable difference. However, the game can only handle a certain amount of physics data in memory and a certain number of car models in total, which is the limiting factor on how much can be added. Very little of the cut content exists on the original disc in full, so I've had to carefully plan how to fit it all within those limits.
It’s a crying shame I don’t have a PC for emulation, this mod for GT2 looks awesome! I do have one question: is the racing music still the same from their respective regions? Or were the other regions’ racing ost’s ported to each other’s version? I could never get over the fact that we never got the JP racing ost here in NA! The songs themselves aren’t all bad per se, but compared to the JP version, it’s simply abysmal😅
Unfortunately, unlike GT1 a lot of data is hardcoded for the race music, so trying to swap soundtracks results in music that starts and stops halfway through tracks. It's been the number 1 request for years, but hasn't been figured out.
@@pez2k as unfortunate as that it is; it is what it is. Does the PS1 emulation have a translator of sorts to translate the text to English for the japanese releases?
@@pez2kimages? That’s new to me😅. Well, at least despite the language barrier, I could still manage to get through the menus since I’ve played the game long enough to generally know where most stuff is. Thank you very much for answering my questions and amazing work on this mod!
Actually, there is something like that. It's completely possible to edit existing models or make new ones for this game. You just have to keep them within the polygon limit. I can invite you the the discord page if you want.
Yes, most of GT2's soundtrack are remixed songs from GT1's Japanese soundtrack. Toyota Dealership in GT1 for instance is From the East, which was used for East City in GT2. The Chevrolet theme in GT1 is the South City Theme in GT2. and I believe the TVR Theme is basically the North city theme in GT2.
I noticed the Vector W-8 has a slightly modified nameplate: the "Welgert/Wlegert" typo has been removed completely. I suppose it was difficult to edit the l into an i?
@@RandomCarGuy17 Grindelwald Reverse has a serious flaw with AI pathfinding that takes away the challenge when racing in an even field. They make a sharp left after the Start Line, causing them to hug the wall.

It's a mod patched on an iso to be played on an emulator. It's been confirmed to work on consoles, but I can't say how that actually works as I never tried that.
@@Gale_Force_Raceway Well, now you know. It's technically been going on for a few years now. It started with just porting cars over from the demos and just growing from there.
@@RandomCarGuy17 I’m trying to find it-- and I think I found and downloaded it. It’s an add-on, right? I have GT as a bin/cue file, that’s ok? And what emulators work here? So far we have a Wii running a bunch, and successfully playing GT2 - and soon, my second PS4 will have a bunch too….
@@Gale_Force_Raceway Yes, you have to have a bin or iso file of GT2 to work. Just make sure you downloaded the right patch for your GT2 bin. As for what emulators, any ps1 emulator should work. For reference, I've used ePSXe and Duckstation for this mod before.
It could be, Gran Turismo 2's controls and physics could be a challenge to newcomers as some cars react funny with hilly tracks or curves. But you don't have to worry about that right away if you start with slower and easier to handle cars. The game is still fun to play imo and it's one of the easiest GTs for earning money and unlocking cars; especially with this mod that adds new prize cars to certain races. I would say give the game a try and see for yourself.
@@RandomCarGuy17 yeah I think I'm going to start with this one, its just always so overwhelming for me when I try to get into a series and there's so many entries on it
@@fefor I gotcha, I felt that way too when trying new games. With that said, I often started in the middle of a series and then went back to the previous games. Though there's a few times I did start with the first. GT being the first example.
No - the rally ghosts depend on both the rally tyre physics and the framerate, and so it would break all of the rally opponents, with 25fps PAL not able to reuse the 30fps JP ghosts. Re-recording them isn't possible yet, and I'm not fast enough to reproduce the driving anyway. It would also break the license tests that are on dirt in US and PAL.
I wonder if it's possible to update tracks like on the level of making test course not an Indiana Jones ride soon as you get to the corners or going over 200 mph
The bounciness is a consequence of the low physics tickrate I think - the game is running as low as 25fps, so by the time the game checks the car's position it has already sunk into the next bit of the banking, so it bounces out again. Apparently it's smoother if running the game at 60fps in an emulator, but that breaks other things. Some cars are also bouncy regardless, like the GT90 - it's an issue with the PS1 games in general.
Yep, almost everywhere that there was an Opel, Vauxhall, Integra, or NSX opponent, there was also one with the opposite branding that was blocked in certain regions. I went through every appearance and manually chose whichever I felt was most appropriate. Most of the Acura NSX opponents were the duplicates rather than the actual Acuras and thus were removed, but there's at least one event where they can show up alongside the Honda versions I believe. They're not all that fast though, the '91 has a 4-speed auto as it seems like that car was originally intended to be an auto by Polyphony, and it makes it more different to the '90 spec Honda.
Hello there. Can someone explain me in short words how do i apply these mods? i have both ePSXe and Duckstation, and GT2 US/CAN version. Any help would be much appreciated!
Yep, Arcade Mode has its own list of fixes and changes on top, including swapping the much too slow Clio V6 with an Esprit in the Class A car selection, and sorting out any discrepancies between the two discs in the later Japanese and US re-releases.
It adds new prize cars to GT2 along with restoring cars from the beta builds or that were in GT1 into it. In addition to unifying all releases some more as GT2 had some differences between each regional release. Though the best idea is to watch the video as I give a full tour of a lot of these content changes.

@@Ghedissa Oh yeah, breaks. That's no problem, there's also a link in the video description where the creator himself mentions every change over the normal version too.
Long story short, the mod fixes bugs in the game, from more blatant things like one of the VW Golfs losing 50bhp when you buy it, to tiny subtle things like one of the tracks never showing up in races with random track selection. There's also a Complete version which, as mentioned above, finishes off and restores unused / cut content from demo versions and GT1, for example some unfinished Ruf models based on the mid-90s 911 Turbo, or the Toyota Chaser LM racecar from GT1.

Viper having its blue colour with stripes is a must. I can't believe they've never had it as an option ever again after GT1.

@@schlafanzyk That's a neat fact I guess, I never noticed that before.

Now if we can get rid of the AI engine sounds and make them sound like the actual cars in the game, we'd be in business
The PS1 only has 2MB of RAM, there just isn't enough space to have more than two car sounds loaded at the same time. It already has the cars, track, textures, physics data, and two 100-car garages stuffed in there - I don't know how they got it all to fit.

26:45 someone else noted that the fantasy "Wiegert" name was removed from the Vector W8TT? Despite it being fantasy, I still like the "Wiegert" at the W8TT's name ;_
28:30 no more duplicate teal color at the AMG saloons (but unfortunately no teal too)
34:45 wasn't the black livery turned into the standalone Xsara Rally Car?

I was looking for a tire durability glitch fix in endurance races, then got this instead. What a treasure!

I really thought that they would replace the clio with 172 hp! It would be a great entry! Anyway great vid as always!
Great video as always!
I have installed this mod, and I can confirm that it gives me more genuine Japanese vibes with all these correct JDM model names, although there is more stuff to fix.
Gran turismo 2 ❤
Is it possible to add descriptions to the cars for those cars that don't have it in the original game? I think that could be the next thing to be done for this mod.
My wishlist for the mod now are:
- Scale the power tuning for the Taurus so it can be as powerful as a Nascar car/Make a V8 powered Nascar Taurus as a special model
- Make the Intrepid Drag Car as a special model with custom drag physics inspired by the 180/R33 drag cars
- A GT300 spec S14 as a special model, based on a downtuned S14 LM Edition
- A Group A spec R32 as a special model based on the R32 RM
- Racing modified version of the RS200 based on the Group B car
- Ruf special model (?) [wonder if this is even possible, but if it is, I'd like to see cars based on the 993 GT2 and 964 Carrera]
It might be now, but I'm not sure.
@@pez2k and on that note, I'll probably make videos on those aswell.
@@pez2k GT2DX? Not familiar with that one. 2.1 I have heard of though.
Amazing! Are you gonna add the Mitsubishi GTO LM Edition?
In a way, the Mark Martin NASCAR livery could've been added to Specials, modified with RWD, 800hp, and a V8 engine sound that goes up to 9500rpm (to match derestricted NASCAR specs at the time).
It could be another idea for later or for someone else to do in a mod.
this mod is not about adding custom content
it's for fixing bugs, making hidden and gt1 only content available and restoring some cut features and vehicles
This is quality content
game so funy
To add to your knowledge of this: this mod works with zero problems on FPGA Mister.
Whoa, That’s it Interest Come At you.
@@pez2k Splendid information. Much appreciate mate

Just out of curiosity, is there a way to combine the GT2 plus mod and the single disc mod?
I think Pez2k explains that in his FAQ section on his GTPlanet thread. Click on the link I left in the description to find out more about it.
Silent's Combined Disc mod is done as an install script rather than a mod in itself, so it should work with any modified version of the game.
@@pez2k Thanks !!

32:44 GT1 Mitsubishi Dealership Sound = GT2 West City Sound
Yes, most of GT2's soundtrack are remixed songs from GT1's Japanese soundtrack.
Toyota Dealership in GT1 for instance is From the East, which was used for East City in GT2. The Chevrolet theme in GT1 is the South City Theme in GT2. and I believe the TVR Theme is basically the North city theme in GT2.
Do you start off with the typical 10k credits?
Yup, that doesn't change.
I noticed the Vector W-8 has a slightly modified nameplate: the "Welgert/Wlegert" typo has been removed completely. I suppose it was difficult to edit the l into an i?
I just reverted the logo to one used in the demos, which didn't have that text. It was the cleanest way to do it.
Wait, is Grindelwald reverse new (40:10) ? I don't recall I ever raced in that circuit in reverse, even in previous versions of GT2+
Nope. It was always in GT2, reverse tracks for some reason only appeared in manufacture events.

Like I said in my video, a link to his channel is in the description.
as someone who's never played any gran turismo game before, would be playing GT2 with this mod a good starting point?
It could be, Gran Turismo 2's controls and physics could be a challenge to newcomers as some cars react funny with hilly tracks or curves. But you don't have to worry about that right away if you start with slower and easier to handle cars. The game is still fun to play imo and it's one of the easiest GTs for earning money and unlocking cars; especially with this mod that adds new prize cars to certain races. @@RandomCarGuy17 I like having MPH.
Does GT2 Plus give all versions of the game the JP rally handling physics?
No - the rally ghosts depend on both the rally tyre physics and the framerate, and so it would break all of the rally opponents, with 25fps PAL not able to reuse the 30fps JP ghosts. Re-recording them isn't possible yet, and I'm not fast enough to reproduce the driving anyway. It would also break the license tests that are on dirt in US and PAL.
I wonder if it's possible to update tracks like on the level of making test course not an Indiana Jones ride soon as you get to the corners or going over 200 mph
It isn't.
@@pez2k yeah I've used the gt90 sometime last year. What a rodeo thank you guys though

Is there a place where it says where do the new prize cars are awarded? I want to try that Polo and 323i E36
As I said in the video, you have to ask pez2k.
The Polo replaces the purchasable Lupo in the Compact Car Cup, and the E36 is from the third race of one of the Nationals, US I think.
47:50 Would that also apply for NSX's as well?
I haven't looked myself yet tbh, but it's likely the same case. Pez2k was very thorough with the A.I. grids.

@@RandomCarGuy17 thanks for guide. I'll ask again if something goes wrong
Será que vai rodar no meu retro arc de PlayStation 3 ?
It likely could, I wouldn't know how to do that though. I never really play modded PS1 games on my own PS3. I use the PC for that.
Is this Mod available for EPSXE Android Users
Probably since it is for Windows...although unless you`re still using EPSXE for a reason, there`s newer emulators that add more features.
@@gamerxt333 OK
Does this work on ePSXe for android?
I believe it does, though I don't know how to do it. Installing the mod requires knowing how to use the xDelta patch software in order to apply the mod as a patch to an iso of GT2.
You know what would be so cool? If the AI had their corresponding engine sounds... I'd like to know from a technical perspective if this is possible, if so, why not? Does anybody know?
Someone else actually mentioned this before and its a popular idea, but also not possible for this mod. There's a limit of only 2mb of ram on the ps1, which is why there can only be 2 car sounds at once (the sound of your car and then the A.I. car sounds.
@@RandomCarGuy17 Is it possible to do on Duckstation for example? I know it has a 8mb RAM feature and cheat on GT2, to "spoof" as a dev console 🤔
@@Falco95 That I don't know. I do know if it is, then Pez2k likely won't do it. The idea of the mod is to be playable on actual ps1 hardware.
Do anyone has a link to instructions on how to install this mod?
Did you check the description?
@@RandomCarGuy17 Thanks for replying, my apologies for the dumb question, now i see the page. Thanks again
@@blorbb5398 It's fine, just wanted to make sure you saw it. :)
How do I install it to my euro ver of gt2?
Check the description.
@@RandomCarGuy17nvm somehow got it by all doing it myself on Android
Can someone try do disable the blending/reflection ? It is horrible in GT2, better in gt1
I don't think that's possible tbh.
I wonder if this could work on the PSP
It might be able to, are there any differences between PC and PSP emulators?
It runs on anything that plays PS1 games accurately, yeah.
@@RandomCarGuy17 The PSP emulator is a bit sensitive. You have to run GT1 with Popsloader 3.51 active by holding R down on launch to bring up the version select or else it'll crash. GT2 will work across all versions but the audio is a touch on the quiet side vs GT1. I'd have no idea how to get this to work unless it can be compiled into the rom itself. It may not have that sort of functionality as far as I'm aware.
@@zubiddydoodoopop Hmmm, that's sucks. Though, I don't think I can help you there; I never did emulation on anything beyond PC.
why no nsx-gt1 turbo?
It's in the mod and in the video, at 4:50.
@@pez2k thanks
Were you skimming the video? ;)
how to install the patch ?
Click on the link in the description that leads to the forum thread about this mod. You gotta have xdelta (a patch installer) installed on your computer and use it to apply the patch to your GT2 iso/bin file.
Can someone explain me how to play this modded GT2,please?
Did you check the link I left in the description?
@@RandomCarGuy17 yes,i read it,i have a small prob after i patch it
@@csababugyo9109 Did you remember to add .bin to your filename? It won't work unless you do that.
@@RandomCarGuy17 thank you 🙂
Is Gran Turismo 2 Plus fan made?
Yep, no association with Polyphony or Sony, just a non-commercial fan project to fix any known bugs and optionally finish off and bring back cut content.
Link please))
Description bud.
Also, I don't mean to offend you, but you should know this by now.
?? mod for ps or pc? tnx
It works on either, though I can't tell you how to make it work on PS1 as I never burned a PS1 disc before. I just know it works based on past reports.
nsx-r gt1 turbo is the best car
Enjoy it, cherish it.
Can you get on android
Read the description please.
Like play for first time 🥲
still no CLK GTR
Unfortunately, I don't think restoring that is in his plans due to the fact there was no official model made for it and while there's fanmade mods on it now, I don't think Pez2k is going to include those.
Yep, this mod is more about finishing off whatever original content can be found, and the CLK GTR was scrapped long before any known demos so there's nothing to finish off. A scratch-made CLK GTR was created by Submaniac however, and it will be in his GT2.1 mod.
@@pez2k are you planning to also restore the drag racing?
@@NicoKyunKyun I don't think drag racing ever actually existed - there's a menu button for it in Arcade, but no events, tracks, or code that I've seen. There's basically nothing there to bring back.
@@pez2k i've only heard that you can't 100% completion in the game because of the cut drag racing, so i'm not sure
It is a shame they don't make gt game like this on psp... So boring play gt games on psp... Cannot upgrade anything.. Maybe they are so rush to release it.. That's why on psp is like that.. You cannot choose car what u wanted to buy.. Just random choose.. That's very annoying...
Can't wait for this mod to come put 😄
You can play it right now.
It is out. It's been available in a playable form for a while.

Hi,
Impressive work!
Gt2 still alive..
Is it possible to share me (private message if needed) a beta 7 (1.2 USA) save with Ford GT90 and Renault Espace F1?
I'd like to trade these vehicules with my save.
Thx for your help!👍
I could do that or tell you something better. You can still use cheat codes in this mod to get a GT90 yourself if you want (just google search GT2 cheat codes and look up the ones for your build of GT2). Also, there's a gamesave Pez2k has if you want to try some of the new stuff. Which you can get by simply clicking on the link in my video description.
Thx for your answer!
I try the save in the link, but non Ford GT90 when i go in garage.... Don't know why.
I prefer to don't use cheat code.. i prefer win Money and pay models i can afford..
Hope you will understand me!
So, would you please help me with sharing a link to a save with this model?
I would be so cool...
Hope you would help a old player (48 years of gaming !)
Thx!
You want my mail adresse?
@@familleolivier4201 I can understand not wanting to use cheats. But I should tell you that the cheat I'm talking about would still have you just need to buy it.
I'll share a gamesave with you anyway though.
With that said, I should tell you that earning enough money for an Espace F1 is honestly not that hard. You just need to win GT All Stars on Red Rock Valley twice to sell 2 TVR Speed Twelves and you'll immediately have 1 million credits to spend on an Espace.
Cool🙏🙏
How will you send me this save, dear?
