    Thanks for the tuition guys...
Silicon or 'No More Nails' which would be better do you think ?
A mate at the bike shop stuck a bloody big vice attached to a steel pedestal down to the concrete floor with 'No More Nails' and the next day, no way would that thing budge...

I’m not doing this myself but need to hire someone to replace 4 of them. It’s like you read my mind from half way around the world. This is uncanny.

Awesome video. For those who don't want to replace the toilet or seal as it's hard to put that toilet back once it's separated from the floor to extend the life a bit clean the surface and dry it then fill with silicon to make air tight seal until you rip the whole toilet out.

Kia ora Kent, thank you for your videos. You wouldn't happen, to be having a beer with Leigh? As how do you know if its been concreted into place? As the one im trying to remove, has two different sorts of bolt downs. Both sides they just going around and around and wont come out. Im at the point I want to whack the toilet with a hammer 🔨 also any idea how to bolt down to the ground the new one? As the concrete idea, seems easier. By the way enjoy your beers and tears, 'Up the Wahs' 😂

Hey Max, great questions mate kapai! 1; I love a beer with Leigh. 2; he knew it was concreted in place as he had recently replaced another toilet in this house and presumed it had been installed the same (common practice in the '90s), 3; wasn't a Q. but can you gently lever the bowl up as you unscrew the bolts and see if you get any purchase on the threads? 4; if you are wanting to bolt down the new bowl, it will have bolt holes you can mark the floor with a marker when it's placed where you are wanting/ remove pan again/ masonry drill the holes/ replace the pan and put the new bolts in. all the best mate, Kent

@@InspireDIYkai pa Kent, thanks for the fast reply. Glad I didn't smash it into a thousand pieces 😂. I like the concrete idea, as we have some large ppl here and this one has moved a millimetres in 24 years. Did they just use quick set concrete or make a slurry? Churs for your channel bro

Hey Daniel, now I’m curious as to what you were commenting on🤔
Just the silicone on this install, if history repeats itself then this will be fine for years👍 Kent

Cheers, yeah that was it. Had a mate confirm that just silicone holds. I was just surprised, 1 minute its cement moulds and screws, next minute its a bit of silicone
